This place was amazing I highly recommend it. When I first called Alyssa was very nice and compassionate when I called about my new puppy and all of my worries. She got me in within a half hour of me calling and everybody in the staff was very friendly when I walked in. This is a family veterinary clinic and that's how the treat our dogs and us. Best folks who seem to genuinely love what they do and it translates to the care. I never feel like my animals are just animals, no corporate upselling of ridiculously unnecessary diets or medicine and Dr Deitlan is there to care for pets not outside advertising interests. Tried other vets in the area but no one cares about my dogs like these folks. May as well be taking the kids to the pediatrician coming here. I love you all. Please keep up the great work. I love Doctor Barr, she is so sweet and remembers our dogs. The only reason I knock off a star is because their prices are high for the visit and the vaccines. We consistently spend much more here than we did when going to Wilson in Washington Twp, and had one of our dogs in for oral surgery at about 1/3 of the price of Macomb Veterinary. We may be going back there even though it is farther. Just a tip for those who are cost conscious. Read Less

My Buddie was diagnosed with diabetes. It was truly difficult in the first six months to regulate the insulin. Dr. Barr and the staff at MVA helped me through all of his issues. I remember having a meltdown in the beginning because I was scared of doing something that would affect his life. The staff just hugged me and told me I was a good mom and things will get better. Dr. Barr and the associates at Macomb Vet Associates were by far the best veterinary group we've ever been a part of. They took great care of both of our dogs and went above and beyond. Our dog had her ACL repaired there and they helped every step of the way with the surgery and recovery process even a year later. Love this vet my mother in law and I bring our dogs here and Dr.Barr is just so nice! I always feel comfortable letting her take my baby, they are reasonably priced, and the puppy package is a awesome deal! It's not hard to get an appointment  they can usually get you in a week! We took our 11 week old German Shepherd puppy there because he was in pain and we had no idea what was wrong with him they took 2 xrays and blood test and then told us they thought he possibly had an intestinal blockage and wanted us to go to another place for a cat scan we were only there for about 15 minutes they charged us $480... We ended up taking the puppy to Wilson's veterinary hospital where they found out that the dog actually had an infection in his elbow joint they seen the bill from Macomb veterinary associates and about had a heart attack because they showed us a list of their prices and everything we had done at Macomb vet assoc. would have only costed $218 at Wilsons we contacted them and they refused to give us any money back all they care about is the money not the animals they misdiagnosed our dog took advantage of us financially and then treated us with no respect when  we complained about it I would never take my dog there not unless you got a winning lottery ticket in your pocket and don't care to have your animal cured . Our dog stayed at Wilson hospital for 2 days received IVs, xrays, and  medication to come home  and the total bill was $550 definitely a thumbs down for a Macomb veterinary associates Read Less

It's been slightly over a year since our Golden Retriever Duncan "crossed the rainbow bridge" at age 15. MVA veterinarians and staff cared for both of our Goldens over the years (they also cared for Isabel, Duncan's aunt). I can't think of a more caring and professional practice. It's taken me far too long to write this but I feel that MVA deserves the highest marks and praise I can give. I'm sure one day we'll replace Duncan with another Golden and when we do, we will definitely place his or her care in the capable hands of the folks at MVA. Read Less
