We were in Airport Vet twice this past week, first with our granddog Dozer then with our dog Sister Brandy Titsworth Wiles. Both times excellent experience. As a dog groomer, I'm very specific about where I choose to take my dog. My previous vet had retired, and after a little bit of research, I decided to give this place a try. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with smiling faces and an extremely kind staff (Which is very hard to find especially in the Oakland county area) Not only do they genuinely care for the well being of your pet, they care for the well being of your wallet as well. I have been going to Airport Veterinary Hospital ever since another vet told me my dog - who was throwing up phlegm - "could be dying for all I know." A coworker recommended Airport and the vet there told me her teeth needed cleaning. The tartar buildup was rubbing against her saliva gland producing more saliva. When her stomach filled with saliva she threw it up. I have been going there ever since - that was 8 dogs ago if you count the two I have now. this is the place to go! they are all so caring, from the wonderful ladies at the front desk to the technicians, and especially the doctors. they not only care about your pets, but they care about the cost to their customers. they are simply the best around. my cat was there for two nights and they were so compassionate and understanding when i called multiple times to check in. they even called a few days later to make sure everything was better and addressed all concerns i had. i won't go anywhere else! The letter is from MSU saying that our vet's office made a contribution to the Companion Animal Fund in Sailor's memory. This fund supports the study of diseases and disorde...rs affecting companion animals. I had no idea they would do this and I find it so unbelievably thoughtful and caring. Airport Veterinary Hospital is where we took Sailor for all his usual needs, but in the end, it was an emergency and on a Sunday so we had to take him to an emergency vet. The fact that they do this at all is wonderful, the fact that they do this even though they were not the ones to be there in the end is even more amazing. It certainly makes me feel like our animals are more than a number to them. I'm also thankful to the Oakland Veterinary Referral Services that we had never been to before. They made an ornament out of Sailor's paw print and his ashes aren't just in a cardboard box, they are in a beautiful wooden box with a lovely fabric case and his name written beautifully on a card. I would leave a Zero if it was an option. I Went in to pick up a dog license and was told I was late even though I have a flyer from Oakland county clearly saying I have through June 1st 2017. Then I was told that airport vet is not affiliated with Oakland county. The employee who stated this then told me I was rude, when I question her about the dates I was told to leave that I was rude. Never will take my business here again and the employee her name started with a Mar that's all I could make out as she turned away to go to the back room. Seemed like an awesome office, newly updated, friendly front desk lady and a few other staff. One of the assistants took us into the room. While she was trying to get a urine sample, I got out my paperwork for my puppy's shots from another vet. Because I thought I had them all, I made a mistake and the last one got left home, but she was wearing her rabies tag and the paper work gave her the microchip number. I had everything except 1 paper regarding the last set of shots. My puppy was only in there due to having uti symptoms. The vet assistant told me that she was going to NEED the shots redone due to forgetting the paper. And she insisted, I even told her my puppy has her rabies tag on, she said it doesn't matter, people put other dog tags on there dog to cheat the system. I was upset and told her that my puppy will NOT get duplicated shots, to me you can over do it with vaccines if you redo them if they are not needed. When I was able to download her record on my phone and I gave it to her, she never apologized, I do not like to basically be called a liar , especially in front of my child. The other issue i had was when I asked about pricing about spaying. They gave me a sheet on what all the services and prices with that. On the form was a microchip and nail trim among other things that seemed to me a little over kill. Would I go back after this visit? Probably not. Read Less

Took my Belle in for an ear problem and vaccines. The staff was very friendly and my cat settled in really well (I'm sure the pheromone diffusers helped a lot) after a few minutes of fussing. Her ear problem turned out to be an excessive ear wax chunk, which the doctor removed promptly. After the two vaccines and initial visit charges, as well as ear drops, the total charge was much less than anticipated, and my cat came home none the worse for wear behaviorally. I look forward to using this clinic as my new vet for the foreseeable future. Read Less

We took my boyfriends parents cat there today for a pre-op consultation to get her spayed. We were the last appointment of the day and the staff and Doctor were still so thorough, and took their time with her. Answered all of our questions and handled her with great care! My first experience with Airport Vet Hospital was a few years back, when we were dealing with an end of life decision with our past dog. Our regular vet was closed, but Airport was able to see us on very short notice. As difficult of a day as that was, the folks here did everything they could to make our dog comfortable, and provided us with the information we needed to make the difficult decision that we did. Lily was treated with such compassion, that I knew I would be back to see them. We LOVE Airport Veterinary Hospital. We discovered them after having used another vet that spent all their time trying to sell us optional services, rather than treat our dog like a patient and part of our family. Last May, we lost our 13 yr old furbaby, and as horrible of an experience it is to lose a loved one, having Airport vet involved made it as easy as it possibly could be. Cannot say enough positive about them. And to add to that, when we adopted our next furbaby through a rescue agency, Airport vet gave us a great recommendation. We've been going to Airport Vet since 1997 and have always received good care. All the vets are helpful and kind with our dogs. We especially appreciated Dr. Zelten as she helped us through taking care of Sheena with her diabetes, kidney disease and seizures. When it came time to say goodbye to our beautiful Sheena, they helped us through that difficult time, too. We could call anytime and ask any question and always get the same level of compassionate care. Dr. Stacer and Dr. Lindner are both helpful, as well. Even though Snoopy is a barky dog, they handle her very kindly and she responds. Wouldn't think of going anywhere else. We do miss Dr. Zelten. Read Less
