At first I was impressed because they took me as an emergency for my cat. But after reviewing the events, I have some serious doubts about this practice. Whether they thought my cat didn't see a regular vet (which she does), I can't explain some of their explanations. My pre approval was $168 and I ended up spending $198 even though I removed two items because of additions. The vet came out and gave me two different explanations and the office was very chaotic and they even had to call the owner for pricing for a simple procedure. I will continue to drive back to my regular vet. Read Less

How about this for some staples. Took my 10 month old American Bulldog in for some stitched. After telling me he needed to stay over night and 500.00 later, he never stitched the top layer and of course the cut came opened. I had to take him back the next day. The wanted to staple him without numbing him. What a jerk! Some of the staples are sideways and some of them aren't even on the cut. He never even touched my dog while examining him. He also tried to compare to his dead wife's hip surgery while telling me why he didn't stitch the top layer of skin on my 10 month old puppy. He is a poor excuse for a Vet! No NOT take your pets here! They also would not let us see where he would be sleeping for the NIGHT! HUGE red flag. What do they have to hide. I called 3 other vets and they all have an open door police and let all customers see where their pets will stay while in recovery. I would give them 0 stars if I could. My poor dog!! Read Less

Terrible, terrible, terrible experience with my parents' newly adopted puppy. Took him in for a small puncture wound in his leg he sustained after playing too rough in the yard. They insisted on keeping him overnight but would not allow my parents to see their kennel facilities, claiming it was illegal for them to just look into the area (which is not true at all???). The vet insisted that he needed stitches, not just glue. Had the dog home for less than 48 hours before the wound opened up again. Upon returning to the clinic, the vet explained that he had not stitched the outside layer of skin because it was "unnecessary" (as if the would hadn't opened up and started bleeding again!). The vet agreed to staple the wound shut and tried to do it WITHOUT numbing or sedation, and suggested my parents keep the dog medically sedated in a crate all day every day until the wound was completely healed. The staples were done TERRIBLY and parents ended up taking the puppy to a different vet to have them looked at/fixed/redone. All in all they spent $500 for services that had to be redone by a different vet less than 2 days later. Also, this vet has a terrible bedside manner and has never even acknowledged my dog's presence in the room the few times I've taken her there. Last time I took her for shots, he had dried blood from an old nosebleed still on his face. Very unsanitary and unprofessional. He also tried to give my dog a vaccine that she was already up to date on- which was reflected on her chart and by me verbally. He had the syringe all ready and I happened to notice the label on it before he could inject her. Read Less

We brought Maxy our male kitten (6month old)in for his 1st visit. The staff was wonderful. They made me feel comfortable as well as Maxy. I don't remember the names (I'm' so sorry bc they were really great) but the first girl checked Maxy's ears and even temperature. He was fine and even came up to her on his own. When the Dr came in Maxy began to hiss and didn't stop...We still needed to give him his shots but the Dr thought I should go home and come back another time after giving him a pill to relax him. I knew he had Maxy's interest in mind so I was on board...But another girl came in and said "we can do it!". I handed Maxy over to this Angel but was worried that Maxy would hurt and they would hate him. I heard him make a few noises but it was over quick and that was it! They made the experience an amazing one. I hope they remember us and read this and know how wonderful we think they are. We'll be back for the rest of Maxy's life. Thank you ladies! I took one of my dogs here to have his nails cut back past the quick they were extremely over grown. And I've been working at them for 2 years since the time I adopted him. Was told the quick resets the more you cut them well it didnt. So I told the Female vet here and she said we can put him under anesthesia and cut them back I said ok paid over $300 and they are still over grown past his pads when he stands. 7 days post surgery I went in for the follow up and I saw the Male Vet who I don't care for. Anyways. He didn't even look at or touch my dog. I had him the table he said" put him on the floor, ok have a great day" I said excuse me??? So that being said I wouldn't refer this place to anyone. And I'm guessing a vet tech cut the nails and not the female vet. Highly disappointed highly!!!! They should offer to correct their work. Read Less

The girl assistants and counter were nice. As for the male veterinarian I seen, what a joke. I want to know how he's a vet. 1st visit- Went with a friend who had a sick puppy he was vomiting and popping lots.. he did no testing... Went straight to parvo, and when we asked him to test to make sure he was offended and just gave us higher prices to treat for parvo even though he didn't know that's what it was for sure.. Went to a second vet who ran a test.. turned out to be a stomach virus. The puppy got the meds and was himself a few days later. 2nd visit- I was weary to go back with my dog, but money is tight and they have decent exam price..My dog was growing a red bump on her tail..He walks I the room looks at it and says " That's a tumor. Looks like cancer. I'll get you a surgery estimate." I stopped him and asked how he knew it was cancer. He said " I don't really not until it's removed and sent out for testing." He left the room and his assistant comes back with an 800$ surgery estimate. 2 days later I took my dog to get a second oppion after I talked to a few places that assured me it could be tested before surgery to see how bad it actually was. In the long run. It was an infected ingrown hair. And was taken care of immediately for 100$. Do not, for the life of your pet take it here to this whack job, money hungry vet.Read Less

I'm very disappointed with my first visit with my kitty to this place. This was her first physical since I've gotten her too (2 months ago), so I had many questions. It looks likes from just the first 20 reviews here that this animal hospital is mainly for dogs. Dr.Spencer was the doctor that "examined" my cat. I don't understand how he is a doctor. One of the first things to come out of his mouth was that he knew I got my cat on a Saturday because his wife died a day before I got her (which was a year ago for him). I mean, I feel bad, but this isn't something you discuss in a professional setting immediately with someone you just met. Also, with all of my questions I basically got an "I don't know" with shrugged shoulders and hands out. He didn't have any real answers to the about 8 questions I had. One of which was about her breed. He said there aren't any black Maine Coons which I know this as a fact to be false. He kept saying it and I didn't want to argue with him. I'm also worried that that my kitty might get sick from being in the examination room. After they told me to let her out, I figured the rooms were sanitized after every animal exam, and when I asked the doctor about it, he said that the rooms are "mopped about a few times a day". What?? They need to be mopped and sanitized after EVERY patient. He also needs to go to a dentist because his breath is horrifying. If you are going to be in such close proximity with so many people a day, it would be polite to visit a dentist. Gross. The 3 young girls there seemed pretty nice and the prices weren't bad, but I will never take my cat back this place or recommend it to anyone. And great, my cat literally just sneezed...I really hope she didn't catch anything from that dirty exam room (or doctor's hands which he didn't wash before examining her with no gloves.) All in all, I felt very disappointed when leaving this place. What a waste of money. *UPDATE* I just spoke to someone who talked to the supervisor that was there and they didn't care whatsoever about any of my concerns, so note that the replies from this facility promising to work something out are blatant lies. They also said that it's totally fine to cross contaminate germs from the door handle (and whatever else this clueless doctor touched) to my cat's mouth. Read Less

Warning: if you actually like the animals you have to remain alive and well, make sure to steer clear of the vet named "Dr. Spencer". After a simple teeth cleaning my cat was dead within 3 months! Vet #2 looked into her mouth (shortly after that guy lost my business) she immediately said "there's a bad tooth & a fistula to the sinuses. He should have sutured that closed". A bacteria started to eat away at her mouth, this place is nasty & should be closed. I watched a dog get its nails cut too short & bled on the lobby floor. A tech put cream on the dog's nail, then just walks away. Then another dog came in & started to lick the blood that was still left on the floor (which was still on there 10-15 minutes) You'd think they'd clean up the blood right away, it was right in front of the counter! So I mean come on! Sanitizing clearly doesn't happen often, from what I seen. I had to say something to get them to use a damn mop. The same tech who stopped the bleeding dog acted like she didn't see a pile of blood on the floor, lazy. Also "vet" Spencer can't prescribe things that all other vet's can? Wonder what they are guilty of? All the other poor innocent animals he's killed deserve so much better than this quick oil change crap hole! They deserve no stars! Workers are giving 5 stars! Unbelievable..Read Less

I am not happy how they cared for my dog and acting like its no big deal. I am not EVER using this place again. Read Less

Took my cat in to get spayed and declawed. Got a call a few hours later that she died. Was told she went in to cardiac arrest. She was 6 months old. Very upset. Will never know the truth of the situation. Still feel she was given to much sleep meds. Was told by the vet I took my dead kitten to get cremated at that they fix a lot of "problems" from this vet. I leave you to judge for yourself. Never got a call or letter from these people. Never even got a copy of the reciept they promised to mail me. Very poor way to run a business. Read Less

Read Less

What a wonderful group of people! I brought my senior cat here for an emergent tooth extraction. They were able to get me in right away and take care of the tooth. The techs were awesome in dealing with both Kipper and me! I was quite nervous about the surgery, but everyone assured me everything would go great, and even told me to call and check in throughout the day if I needed to. We went back for a recheck, and once again the staff was fantastic. Both visits the staff were wonderful and very helpful and the establishment was clean and well kept. Kipper seemed at ease and safe with all staff and the even the exam room itself. We will definitely be coming back for any/all future vet trips!

I was able to bring my dog Barney in the same day. The girls were very nice from the get go and the doctor was very compassionate. The doctor fully examined my dog to make sure there were no other issues going on. I brought him in for missing hair. He eased my mind because I thought it was something serious. I was given an estimate and the price didn't scare me. I'm happy to say that my dog had a pleasant time there and he was taken care of in the best way. Thank you girls and doctor Read Less

Took my 11 month old puppy to get neutered, they kept him over night because of the bleeding. and now 2 days later his stitches came out and he's now bleeding again! I called to get him immediately and the lady who answered the phone, played it off like it was no big deal and oh the doctor is in surgery, and so on and so forth. I am not happy how they cared for my dog and acting like its no big deal. I am not EVER using this place again. Read Less

Horrible place. Please do not take your pets here. I took my cat to get spayed and declawed and a couple days later her stomach started opening back up. She got stitched up again and realized the same thing happening. she was also stitched up by both the vets. Neither of them know how to do their jobs right and personally I fear going back there again. My cat has already been in pain twice because of them.

Read Less
