I think it's a money trap here if you don't do what they suggest they talk down to you. Give you false positives for heart worm. 2nd and 3rd opinion says negative. If you use this vet get a 2nd opinion. It sucks when you think your dog is going to die from something they don't have. Read Less

Our 5 year old Husky had a Cranial Cruciate Ligament Rupture in her back left leg. I called and asked if there were any openings to have her checked out and was told to bring her in right away. Dr. Poindexter was in the room within 10 minutes and was able to identify her injury right away. They were able to get her in for surgery within 2 days and have been absolutely wonderful to work with. We were called with updates throughout the day to let us know how our girl was doing. This place seriously sucks the money out of you. They do have a multi pet discount... at 5 percent. Woop. Pay 300 get like around 3 bucks off. Woohoo. Ive been coming here for years and I have four pets that all go here! Every time I turn around I have to bring an animal in here to continue services. Dr. Vivian Nash is incredible and so are the Vet assistants. They genuinely care for your pets. She saved my cat's life when he was attacked by a dog and also took my husky in during her lunch hour for an emergency when I didn't even have an appointment scheduled. On top of being genuine she is super knowledgeable and will give you the straight answers/best course of action. Highly recommend. Read Less

I don't write reviews often but I recently had my 1st appointment at Wyandotte Animal Hospital and had a very positive experience. The doctor that saw my dog performed a very thorough examination. I was also very impressed by her ability to befriend my dog. He's a rescue that was severely abused and, as a result, is very timid. The veterinary assistant was also very knowledgable, thorough, and able to befriend my dog. I will be telling friends and family I recommend Wyandotte Animal Hospital. Read Less

Took my cat here because she had a missing patch of fur, nothing major but wanted to get to the bottom of it before it got worse. The vet then talked me into doing blood work because he had suggested a steroid. Well, I agreed to do the blood work only to find out that results come in the next day & the whole reason as to why he suggested it was to see if her organs could handle the steroid he was going to give her. Bottom line, he ended up giving her the steroid but blood results didn't come in until days later....my cat then lost about 90 percent of her fur from this visit & the steroid he gave to her. He took her and did the blood work and immediately did the steroid as well. Makes zero sense to me. NEVER will I EVER be returning here. They don't know what they are doing from my perspective. Later on I had discussed this with another vet & they were in shock of the decisions the previous vet had made. Read Less

I've been going here for years and I have to say some of the vets are very good and some are not so great. The care some take with my dog is why I do keep coming back but the prices on drugs are overinflated so I do use other services to get prescription drugs for him. So good service depending on your vet and and average to higher pricing on testing and diagnostics. Read Less

I really like the staff and all of the doctors at Wyandotte Animal Hospital.  I've been taking my 2 kittens to them for about 2 years now and had both their spay/neuter done here.  The doctors are very caring and even though one of my cats hates the vet and was being mean they were very understanding.  The receptionists and vet techs are also very knowledgeable and caring.  I also like how they have the cat/dog entries sepearate to minimize stress.    I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this clinic for quality care for my furbabies! This is the best veterinarian facility downriver! Everybody there is professional, friendly and make you feel like you're a family member. They knew how much I loved my cat and when the time came to say good-bye, Dr. Crawshaw and his staff made it a little easier to do what was best for my Tigger Lee. Excellent is an understatement. The staff was extremely courteous and very understanding when it came to my dog. They were willing to make arrangements ahead of time to keep my dog at ease. (He is a new adoption with a few socialization issues currently being worked out.) I went to this facility based upon what I have seen/heard others say about it. In the end even the prices were more reasonable than other facilities in the area. Just an all around great facility.
