Vca Pineridge Animal Hospital

Andover, Minnesota
General Info
VCA PineRidge Animal Hospital in Andover deciphers pet behavior as a language expressed through tail position, stillness, sound, and pacing to serve homes across Minnesota. Exams initiate not through physical contact but through focused attention. Staff examine intricate micro-behaviors including the exact moments animals establish eye contact their breathing patterns upon hearing voices and their movements toward or away from motion. Care then unfolds in parts. The examination of a pet's skin, coat, and joints relies on its physical tendencies to anchor itself or demonstrate leaning or stiffening behaviors. When trust indicators emerge internal reviews proceed for teeth abdomen and heart rhythm. Meanwhile owners provide context what changed in their daily rhythm what new sounds their pet reacts to or when routines like walking or feeding began to shift. VCA PineRidge Animal Hospital provides an extensive range of services including early-life exams and diagnostics as well as energy balance strategies alongside oral health planning and age-related joint tracking with illness-specific mapping. Timeframes vary based on behavior. Certain appointments develop rapidly where consent signals appear unmistakably. Certain movements extend gradually through distinct phases which allow the animal to process each step. Quiet areas and pause zones exist as spaces where pets can recalibrate before proceeding. After a medical appointment, healthcare services emphasize converting clinical instructions into household practices. Examine sleep patterns while determining methods to reestablish routines and identifying moments to watch for subtle indicators such as family detachment, appetite reduction, or protective behavior regarding personal space. The guidance for owners includes monitoring temporal patterns in addition to symptom tracking. At what time does restlessness appear? During which daily period do hesitations reach their highest frequency? VCA PineRidge Animal Hospital assists Andover families and nearby Minnesota communities by recognizing pet behavior as a dynamic communication tool that animals present through daily pauses and shifts rather than during crises.

Although Pine Ridge has and continues to be a pricier clinic, I have always trusted them with the care of my dogs.....Goldendoodle Ellie age 12 died in 2016 and my new puppy, a goldendoode, Looni 1 year 4 months. Took him in for an itchy tummy July 3 2018. Dr. Ihnen was AWFUL. My puppy is skittish with people he doesn't know and I told that to the assistant who was fabulous. She took time to get to know him, gave him treats and took his temperature. Dr. Ihnen took no time to win the little guy over, muzzled him for his examination and told me his behavior will most likely get worse and to get some extra training provided at the clinic. She also criticized breeders for not carefully screening dogs for allergies, temperament, etc. Looni is great with his groomers and was always picked by the trainer at obedience class to model behavior and learning. He is skittish but with a little patience and understanding the visit would have ended better for him, for me and for the 2 assistants who had to hold him down by the Doctors orders. Also, I think the Dr Ihnen could have found, at the very least, 1 positive thing to say about my dog. Never again....I will take him to someone who has the patience and love for animals to provide care for my dog and future dogs. Sharon Hettrick Read Less

VERY EXPENSIVE! $100+ for a 5-10 minute visit with a vet. That was just for the visit, the medications came to $95 which was also very high. We are established clients. We took our dog in as he had developed a cough. I walked in WITHOUT my dog and explained the situation. No one let me know that I would be charged for an "emergency" visit as I did not have an appointment. I certainly would have made one if I had known they were going to gouge us for the walk in. It was not an emergency! We were the only clients in the waiting area. I do not need a vet that has fancy furniture and an aquarium in the waiting room, just one that takes care of my pet and doesn't take advantage of me. The staff was friendly and the service adequate. My Miniature Schnauzer has a very complex diabetes issue, and my Vet, Dr. Rebecca Stever, has been taking excellent care of him for the past couple of years. She is very smart, and she is wise enough, and not at all arrogant to know that there are times when she needed to consult with other professionals located at other facilities. She does whatever is necessary to get the best medical advice possible for my best buddy. I thank her, and all the staff at PineRidge. They are all very professional, knowledgeable and caring people.
