VCA Cedar View Animal Hospital in Apple Valley develops medical plans that consider the entire family unit to support pets and their caregivers across Minnesota. Initial visits prioritize comfort by allowing pets to explore the space and express their reactions without haste. Before starting hands-on examinations the veterinary team observes small signals such as eye movement tail position gait changes and pressure responsiveness. Physical checkups involve joint tracking hydration analysis weight monitoring gum tone coat texture and thermal regulation patterns. Owners record morning routines alongside sleep patterns and vocal tendencies while observing recent behavioral deviations to engage in the process. VCA Cedar View Animal Hospital delivers treatment plans addressing acute issues surgical care seasonal health shifts and ongoing condition management. Support encompasses laboratory examinations, imaging referrals alongside infection control measures and senior animal care protocols combined with emotionally-informed recovery checklists. The arrangement of plans in distinct sequences helps the owner stay informed without feeling overwhelmed by reducing stress, particularly for those handling multiple pets or intricate medical conditions. The core function of communication stands as the essential element. The few vets I saw there were very nice and helpful. It is a bit overpriced compared to other places in the area. I’ve seen vet techs walk around the place with bloody gloves and not wash their hands afterward. A few of the staff members up front are hard to deal with. If you call them upset about something they will cancel appointments, comment on your financial status, go back and forth with you maintaining no professional courtesy, comment on your personality, conveniently not have access to your account info, and they will say that they have an excuse to do it because you were the first one to be rude.
It seems that they have a bullying atmosphere that has been accepted by staff to customers. Otherwise, why would this just happen. Hopefully Sharon will retire soon and they will replace her. Read Less

Quite concerned that when I spoke with workers they do not check city's dog registrations, nor do they separate potentially dangerous dogs or dangerous dogs from the others- putting customers, workers I feel and other dogs and cats at risk.
I had good service there in the past but will not be returning until they start to actually do something about safety. They can say they are being safe but I know they have been treating a potentially dangerous dog, who then became a dangerous dog in their care and there was no effort to keep it away from the other animals. Scary I think. It shredded my dog and could do the same to yours. Just something to think about before choosing your vet. I don't have a problem with them treating potentially dangerous dogs it's just the issue of keeping it away from the others. Potentially dangerous dogs are supposed to be muzzled but again it's just an honor system- no communication or accountability in place. I hope clinic takes steps to work with city! Read Less
