I've been to several different clinics and emergency clinics and Dr. Carlos is far and away my best choice. He never gives up until an answer can be found; understands peculiarities of many breeds; is more than willing to listen to my concerns; and is funny besides. HIs vet techs Therese and Kaylee are the most low-stress techs I've ever encountered. Highly recommended.

The staff and Dr. Gandara are amazing! Dr. G doesn't sugar coat anything (which I find very helpful in making decisions about my pets) and is very thorough when explaining things to you. He has personally called me a few times after my visit to check on how my pets are doing. It means a lot to know he genuinely cares about the animals he sees. Prices are affordable and he will work with you on services if you're upfront about costs.

We have gone to the Companion Vet Hospital for many years! I like both Dr Carlos and Dr Barb. Both are very knowledgeable and cost conscientious while providing the best care for our animals. No matter who you go to, it will be expensive. So I choose to go to this clinic with Dr's who know what they are talking about and have great empathy for the animals! This clinic has consistently provided good service to us! Dr Carlos is an excellent surgeon, he has done very complex surgeries on our animals with great success!

I love the staff and the doctor here and so do both of my dogs. My girls practically pull me into the vet's office and as soon as they hear the doctor's voice, they get so excited. I greatly appreciate that the doctor takes the time to make sure I understand all aspects of my dogs' care. He is very knowledgable and readily seeks answers/more information if he doesn't already know something.
My older dog has had at least 3 surgeries here and they have all gone wonderfully. I recommend this place frequently. It is clean (no animal smells when you walk in like some other places I've been to). I feel the prices are fair and the staff is very respectful and friendly.

Dr. Gandara is the best veterinarian ever! I have had multiple dogs and worked with several different vets. But Dr. Gandara stands out from them all! On every visit he took his time closely examining my dog Bri and being extremely thorough in his examinations. He is also very well connected with a network of veterinary specialists that he can consult with when encountering a complex veterinary situation. He is excellent in so many ways, his veterinary knowledge, knowledge about animal medications, his knowledge of animal behavior etc. but most importantly, he is a caring and empathetic animal doctor who deeply cares for the animals under his care. On several occasions, I got follow up phone calls from Dr. Gandara in the evenings checking in on how my dog was doing and progressing. Dr. Gandara and dear staff, keep doing your good work!

I love the staff, they are very friendly and knowledgeable. I have brought my two dogs and my chinchilla here and I have no complaints. I very much prefer this clinic over some of the bigger clinics I've been to in the past.

I'm certainly glad to hear that others have had such positive experiences with Companion Veterinary, and sincerely hope that that continues. Our pets are our family, and it's incredibly important that we have a veterinarian that we feel comfortable with, and trust with their care and overall health. I've taken several pets to Companion myself over recent years, and most situations were resolved in the end. Due to some personal issues with a couple of cases, it's unlikely that I'll bring my pets here again, but I do thank the people at Companion for those positive experiences and outcomes that I've had with them.

All of the staff at Companion are AWESOME!! Since finding them in 2008 I wouldn't even consider taking my furkids anywhere else!! They were all so wonderful to us when my senior dog was ill. They saw my family through our loss when she passed with such compassion and understanding. You would have thought they had lost their best friend as well. I wouldn't recommeded anyone else to my family and friends. They have the most caring staff that I have ever met. In the just over 2 years since my faithful Oreo passedd I have adopted 2 new dogs and they love going in to see Dr. Gandara. Lucky even smiles at him when he walks in the room. Yes that's right my dog actually does smile when he sees someone he likes. I have an 8 year old cat that doesn't mind going in for his yearly checks there either. Unlike other vet offices they want you in the room while they take care of your pet and make you part of the process. They are so good about expaining everything as they are looking over your pet. They are an honest business and won't sell you on thing that isn't truly needed. They keep their prices down to the best of their ability when others don't. We recently had to make a visit for the first time at this clinic for a very sad reason. Our 13 year old black lab took a turn for the worse and began to suffer quickly. They made an appt that evening to see him and confirmed what we already knew......we had to end his suffering. The vet and vet tech's were awesome. This was the first time my husband and I had gone through this and they were there every step of the way. My husband, myself and our three children said our goodbye's and then one of the vet tech's took the kids to the waiting room so that my husband and I could stay with him as he passed. It was very quick and very peaceful. My husband and I were able to take our time and stay with our lab as long as we needed. I guess when you have to suddenly take you pet to a new vet and they don't know you but yet once you walk through the door they make you feel like you have been taking him there all his life, I feel as though that is an awesome vet!!! I would reccomend this vet to anyone I know who needs a wonderful place to take their pet and receive wonderful quality care!!!!!!! Thank you for being there for my family and helping us through a very difficult time!!!

I would highly reccomend this pet clinic, they don't over sell you, are affordable with out being cheap. Truly have a passion for what they do. Keeping in mind not everyone is a millionaire! I would never take my pet anywhere else...I was pleased my dogs loved going to this vet! Clean, friendly and this does not look like a jail... it was a group therapy office before they bought this building, which helps to keep the high cost down,due to the fact they do not have to pay rent, they own the building.... No way does it look like a jail...right next to Arby's on old Hwy 10 near the Anoka County LIbrary....Reasonable Rational Reliable Business I can not say enough good things about this business!!!!! Carri DeSmidt Peytan, Pebbles, Halley, Lucy, and Riley all think so too!!! Woof Woof Woof 3 paws up!

Great Staff, very caring, and Dr. Gandara is a genuine person. I have been going to see him for the last 20 years. I appreciate the care my cats have gotten there with him and his staff.

I love that Dr Gandara is willing to explain all the "hows" and the "whys" at each exam, so I feel I fully understand the situation, what to look for, and all my options. Definitely a 5 star rating from me!! :)

I love the staff and the doctor here and so do both of my dogs. My girls practically pull me into the vet's office and as soon as they hear the doctor's voice, they get so excited. I greatly appreciate that the doctor takes the time to make sure I understand all aspects of my dogs' care. He is very knowledgable and readily seeks answers/more information if he doesn't already know something.
My older dog has had at least 3 surgeries here and they have all gone wonderfully. I recommend this place frequently. It is clean (no animal smells when you walk in like some other places I've been to). I feel the prices are fair and the staff is very respectful and friendly.

Dr. Gandara is the best veterinarian ever! I have had multiple dogs and worked with several different vets. But Dr. Gandara stands out from them all! On every visit he took his time closely examining my dog Bri and being extremely thorough in his examinations. He is also very well connected with a network of veterinary specialists that he can consult with when encountering a complex veterinary situation. He is excellent in so many ways, his veterinary knowledge, knowledge about animal medications, his knowledge of animal behavior etc. but most importantly, he is a caring and empathetic animal doctor who deeply cares for the animals under his care. On several occasions, I got follow up phone calls from Dr. Gandara in the evenings checking in on how my dog was doing and progressing. Dr. Gandara and dear staff, keep doing your good work!

Dr Carlos and his staff are absolutely wonderful! We wouldn't trust anyone else with the care of our dog and cat!! Beyond 5 stars!!!

I agree with the feeling about the vet being a little harsh but I know he is just trying to make sure you understand what is best for your pets. I love the staff, they are very friendly and knowledge...

I love the staff, they are very friendly and knowledgeable. I have brought my two dogs and my chinchilla here and I have no complaints. I very much prefer this clinic over some of the bigger clinics I've been to in the past.

I'm certainly glad to hear that others have had such positive experiences with Companion Veterinary, and sincerely hope that that continues. Our pets are our family, and it's incredibly important that we have a veterinarian that we feel comfortable with, and trust with their care and overall health. I've taken several pets to Companion myself over recent years, and most situations were resolved in the end. Due to some personal issues with a couple of cases, it's unlikely that I'll bring my pets here again, but I do thank the people at Companion for those positive experiences and outcomes that I've had with them.

I love this vet! They are affordable and great with my animals. I pass a few vets to get to Companion Vet but I would never change. The customer service makes this vet perfect for me and my daisy.

All of the staff at Companion are AWESOME!! Since finding them in 2008 I wouldn't even consider taking my furkids anywhere else!! They were all so wonderful to us when my senior dog was ill. They saw my family through our loss when she passed with such compassion and understanding. You would have thought they had lost their best friend as well. I wouldn't recommeded anyone else to my family and friends. They have the most caring staff that I have ever met. In the just over 2 years since my faithful Oreo passedd I have adopted 2 new dogs and they love going in to see Dr. Gandara. Lucky even smiles at him when he walks in the room. Yes that's right my dog actually does smile when he sees someone he likes. I have an 8 year old cat that doesn't mind going in for his yearly checks there either. Unlike other vet offices they want you in the room while they take care of your pet and make you part of the process. They are so good about expaining everything as they are looking over your pet. They are an honest business and won't sell you on thing that isn't truly needed. They keep their prices down to the best of their ability when others don't. We recently had to make a visit for the first time at this clinic for a very sad reason. Our 13 year old black lab took a turn for the worse and began to suffer quickly. They made an appt that evening to see him and confirmed what we already knew......we had to end his suffering. The vet and vet tech's were awesome. This was the first time my husband and I had gone through this and they were there every step of the way. My husband, myself and our three children said our goodbye's and then one of the vet tech's took the kids to the waiting room so that my husband and I could stay with him as he passed. It was very quick and very peaceful. My husband and I were able to take our time and stay with our lab as long as we needed. I guess when you have to suddenly take you pet to a new vet and they don't know you but yet once you walk through the door they make you feel like you have been taking him there all his life, I feel as though that is an awesome vet!!! I would reccomend this vet to anyone I know who needs a wonderful place to take their pet and receive wonderful quality care!!!!!!! Thank you for being there for my family and helping us through a very difficult time!!!

I would highly reccomend this pet clinic, they don't over sell you, are affordable with out being cheap. Truly have a passion for what they do. Keeping in mind not everyone is a millionaire! I would never take my pet anywhere else...I was pleased my dogs loved going to this vet! Clean, friendly and this does not look like a jail... it was a group therapy office before they bought this building, which helps to keep the high cost down,due to the fact they do not have to pay rent, they own the building.... No way does it look like a jail...right next to Arby's on old Hwy 10 near the Anoka County LIbrary....Reasonable Rational Reliable Business I can not say enough good things about this business!!!!! Carri DeSmidt Peytan, Pebbles, Halley, Lucy, and Riley all think so too!!! Woof Woof Woof 3 paws up!

I love this clinic. My pets are treated great and the vets are very nice. Place is very clean. I have my whole family going there. Small clinic but good for one on one and getting to know each other.
