Banfield Pet Hospital

Eagan, Minnesota
General Info
Banfield Pet Hospital is renowned for its reliable and comprehensive veterinary services. Every time a pet visits Banfield Pet Hospital in Eagan, intricate communication takes place via subtle behaviors, eye contact, and movement patterns between the animals and their Minnesota families. Examinations start from what awareness a woman has and proceed to what she can feel. Staff observe intricate micro-behaviors, such as the eye contact of animals and their breathing patterns upon hearing voices or movement toward and away from motion. Care then unfolds in parts. The way a pet holds its body, leans or stiffens, draws the attention of the external assessor to look at how the joints and skin keep the body in place. Upon the onset of inner review indicators, teeth, abdomen, and heart rhythm need to be checked. Pet parents provide contextual information about changes in their daily schedules and new sounds that affect pets with background details about the routine alterations (e.g., walking or feeding times). Banfield Pet Hospital provides an extensive spectrum of services including initial life-stage assessments, energy balance methodologies, dental health oversight, age-related joint evaluation, and disease-specific diagnostic mapping. Timeframes’ length varies according to behavior tendencies. Some appointments move fast because of the obvious signs of consent. Certain processes take place gradually over a wide time span, which allows the animal to accumulate the effects of discrete developmental stages. Pets that need to refocus before moving on can enter the designated “pause zones.” Household translation is the key concept for post-visit care. Things to track per sleep cycle, ways to reinstate the routine, and timing for observing silent cues like family withdrawal, appetite loss, and spatial guarding. It is suggested to observe the timing rather than just the symptoms. What time does restlessness start? During which daily interval do hesitations occur most frequently? Banfield Pet Hospital helps families in Eagan and nearby Minnesota areas understand that behavior is more than a pet crisis. It is how a pet lives, the pauses, nudges, and shifts of daily life. The practice offers various services such as Mobile Vet Services, Prescription Medications, Bloodwork, Behavioral Counseling, and Wellness Exams. They are designed to support pets at every life stage, from routine wellness to sophisticated medical treatments. Pet owners value the staff for their professionalism, friendly communication, and ability to explain medical decisions in a caring manner. In cases of senior and urgent pet health care, the employees strive to gain customers’ trust and establish long-term relationships. It also educates pet owners about their pets’ health and prevention strategies. Banfield Pet Hospital’s community efforts lay a solid ground for responsible pet ownership. Both established and new clients frequently comment on the consistently evolving service and the welcoming atmosphere.

I'm really surprised at the negative reviews.  I can't speak for the other people's experiences, but I can speak for my own, and they have been so superly amazingly wonderful!  I first started going there in 2008 when I moved here from TX.  At the time I had 2 dogs.  They described to me the Wellness Plan options, and I'm so thankful for this because what happened in 2009 is that the smaller dog got cancer.  The veterinarian used wisdom and kindness and said although they could run all sorts of tests and call in specialists, from the xray they could see that the cancer was so advanced that there would be no saving her.  What I paid for the Wellness Plan was thousands of dollars less than what I would have paid for the office visits and medical care outright.  They actually let you know on each summary how much your plan has saved you.  Honestly, even if all you do for your dog throughout the year are a physical and dental cleanings, the Plan is still worth it!Since 2008 they've added new veterinarians and I think I've now seen all of them, and they have all been great.  Trust me, I was skeptical of each of them the first time because I love my dogs!  But they each proved me wrong.  Beyond that, the techs are wonderful as well!If you call at 7 am with an urgent need, even if they don't have any appointments available for the day they'll somehow fit you in.  If a vet can get your issue resolved over the phone without a visit, he or she will.  I highly recommend this Banfield location.  I can't speak for any other location, but this one is awesome. After two terrible visits I can say that I will not be bringing my pet here, and I will recommend others to do the same.First, they bring your dogs into the back room when they draw blood and give shots. This seems a little sketchy, as other clinics will allow you to be there. Last time my dog was back there, he yelped, cried and barked in a way he never had before. I was scared and mad. When they brought him back, the vet was making a joke about it, all while my dog was bleeding on the floor. This is not funny. I asked what the problem was and she mentioned he didn't like the restraints before she laughed and got a bandage. Second, they will charge you for every thing they can. For example, the couple minutes in the back room to draw blood? Over $30 just to bring him back. Not to mention the $60 of the actual work. He was in the back room for minutes, that does not constitute a "ward fee".Both times I've come in, I have felt uncared for and over charged. I have to utterly disagree with the previous review posted. I started taking my dog to Banfield in Eagan in August of 2011. In the 21 months I took her to Banfield, I had nothing but amazing, top notch, care for my girl. She was very sick, dealing with cancer for the last 10 months of her life before finally losing her fight in May this year. In that entire time, my dog loved to go to Banfield, in spite of the fact that most of the time it involved various pokes, prods, surgery. Being a person who often thinks the solution to anything involves a test of some sort, the vets there were often talking me out of unnecessary tests or procedures as we fought to try to keep the cancer at bay. They took so much time to go through all the options available, what the pros and cons were for each thing. They never overmedicated her, never recommended a test that didn't have a clear and defined reason with a tangible benefit, and took care of her with love and compassion when we decided to stop operating on a tumor that had come back 3 times. The vets and techs were always there to answer questions that I had regarding her condition. In many ways they became my puppy's extended family, and when it was time for her to stop fighting, you could see the grief in their eyes at losing her too. I spent alot of time in the clinic with my dog, and many times saw how the staff interacted with other pets than mine. Never was there a feeling that anyone was being rushed or that any concern was invalid. You couldn't ask for better care than that.So I highly recommend this clinic. The only focus that the vets and techs had in the almost 2 years there was to get my girl healthy. She loved them and trusted them completely. And they were there for me when the worst happened too. A great clinic, great people. 100% recommend. Read Less

My step dog has come to Banfield in Eagan for years, and I've been so impressed with the staff and Dr. Davis, that we ended up transferring the records from my dogs' vet over to them so he could start coming to Banfield too. We trust them, and we know that they're doing for our dogs everything that they would do for their own dogs. Read Less

Came in for a Heart worm test...wait was 2 1/2 hours.   What is the point of this clinic in a petsmart if it's not convenient.  I can get an exam for a human in 10 minutes at Target.

Read Less
