These people seem friendly enough, but you better have a lot of kids at home, because you might have to hand over your first-born. Overpriced! Our dog has to have his, ahem, "rear end" glands "taken care of" now and then (I like using quotes whenever I feel squeamish, and the gland topic grosses me out). This procedure is very simple and can be done by a vet tech...it doesn't even require the vet's presence (heck, a good groomer will do it as part of the grooming service), and we've had vets in other states that have let us see a tech and be out the door in under 20-bucks. But Anderson charged us the full 90-some-dollar office fee to simply walk in the door, PLUS the $30 or so for the gland drainage, all because it was our first visit and they require the dog be checked out to establish us as clients (why??!). Okay, fine, we were desperate, so we paid it. $130 something for a minor grooming procedure...ridiculous. Then, just over a year later, I called to have "the glands" "drained" again, and they told me they would need to charge me ANOTHER full 90-something office fee, plus the 30-something gland fee. I asked why, since now we're established clients and simply need a tech visit, but they replied, "It's been over a year, so now we have to have a mandatory vet check before the glands can be drained." WHAT?! RIDICULOUS. We made an appointment at a cheaper place that is doing it for $25 plus a $45 first-time fee (again, to establish us -- what is with vets milking people out of their hard-earned money by claiming a first visit is so much harder than subsequent visits??!)...then it will be only the $25 after that. So thank you, Anderson, but no thank you. Read Less
