Conveniently located 2 blocks away from me. Read their website. They will see animals in emergency situations unless it’s after hours. The truth is, they will not see your pet on a Saturday unless you have an appointment. Even if it’s an emergency of coarse unless you’ve been spending a ton of money on your pet there already. Then It would be up to the vets discretion as they put it.
Cats crying in pain laying on the ground. Other cat is trying to get him to move. Moms crying that he’s dying. I look up their website and take him there. No animals in the waiting room. Receptionist doesn’t get off the phone or her chair but still asks for appointment, looks up my account ( I have had two cats there 2 times over the past 7 years) and says she’s sorry but they wouldn’t have time. She didn’t even ask the vet. I’m thinking, surely the vet would be an animal lover and take a few minutes to check the symptoms and give a little advice on which route to go. I called them afterwards and gave them a second chance. I got a hold of a different worker that went and asked the vet. She got back on the phone and asked my information so they could look at my account. Afterwards they said they were sorry but they wouldn’t have time today.
So, my take away is, their customer service sucks. Their vets focus on the money and their personal comfort not the animals.

I called yesterday morning and they were able to schedule an appointment for my cat, even being a new patient. They were extremely caring and compassionate towards both my cat and me. My 16 year old baby was so at peace at the office. They treated her like one of their own. They made sure to break down all of the pricing before I made any decisions about running tests, then made sure to explain all of my options to me once I had the results and gave me time to think through m…y decision. I never imagined I would have my baby put down, but I didn’t want her to suffer anymore. They again were nothing but compassionate during the whole process. They let me schedule a later time so that I could have a family member there with me and gave her medicine to help her be comfortable during those last few hours. Brought our puppy in over concern about recent limping. Did well over $300 worth of labs and x-rays. We were sent home with pain and inflammation pills. We sought another opinion. This next vet knew what she was doing. Talked to us extensively about the limp and said it was a luxating patella which is the most common limp in a dog. She told us to place our dog on a glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM product. Our dog does not limp anymore and runs and plays all the time. It has been many many months. All it cost us was an office visit with a vet who was honest and knew what she was doing. The reason I am giving 3 stars is because Dr. Dennis is wonderful! He has a genuine love for animals and has taken great care of our pets and always been conscientious about the cost. Wish we had seen him that day!

I have never had a good experience there. My parents had problems there and now i have. A disk shifted in our cats leg they took x rays charged me $400 and said something was wrong with his joint and he'd either need surgury or to be put down. The next day we brought him back and complained and a different doctor looked at him and found the problem. She said it would be $60 for a splint and it ended up being $90. And the splint is way to big for a kitten! Every time ive been there it has always cost me AT LEAST $30 more then they said it would. Everytime I go there they nickle and dime you. I will never go there again and i hope nobody else ever goes there and has unnecessary tests, x-rays or opperations done to there pet or gets screwed like i did.

Every time I come here its an outstanding experience!! I've brought in rats, turtle, dog, big snake and so on and they always are ready to tackle it! I've never had a bad time there with any of my animals. I had my dog up there last night who had to get stitches in his legs, and doctor Sarah and the stuff did wonderful. As always. I will continue to bring my pets there whether it be my normally pets or my exotic ones!

I am amending my original review. Originally, we found the pricing at Barrington Oaks to be outrageous. After the company contacted me based on my review, we found their was an error in my bill. When I made the appointment I was told their would be no exam fee for a follow up booster appointment. However, there was an exam fee as it is their policy to give an exam every time. The clinic then hid this mistake from me by rolling the fee into one of the vaccinations instead of k…eeping as a separate line item like it had been with our first appointment. It's seems like someone just gave us misinformation and it caused a big snowball affect. Anyways, the company is now refunding us for the miscommunication and what became a hidden fee. Now that the truth has been found and the problem has been rectified with good customer service, I am giving them a much better rating but am overall still a bit leery of the business for trying to hide their error. Overall, they are caring, their pricing is spot on, and they have good customer service. went in this morning with my African side neck turtle and everyone there was fantastic!! the doctor quickly knew how to handle a turtle and gave him a wellness exam as well as confirming my thought that he had tapeworms. the two nurses were super helpful and even asked about him to learn things they didn't know. I've been looking for a good exotic vet for awhile now and finally found one that knows what they're doing and is reasonably priced!!

The staff is always so friendly and helpful when I bring my animals here. Most recent my dog was having an allergic reaction and was itching uncontrollably. Dr. Kim saw him, provided a thorough diagnosis, and we began treatment. He is getting better and the itching has stopped, he is gaining his weight back and is back to his crazy self. I would highly recommend anyone to this vet because of the great care and compassion they use for every animal that walks through the door. Thank you, Barrington Oaks!

Took urine sample from my dog with an unnecessary and expensive ultrasound procedure to confirm a bladder infection. Extra $55 cost that I was not informed of when leaving my dog there for the day. Called around other vets in the area this is a senseless charge when a sample can be taken when the dog is peeing. Also urinalysis did not include a culture for the UTI so the antibiotics are not resolving the infection.

We've been coming to Barrington Oaks since we moved to Elk River eight years ago. The entire staff has been fantastic. Recently, the team of Dr Molly and Vet Tech Anna have been caring for our lab, Duke and our beagle, Libbey. I have been around dogs for sixty five years now and I can say that I have never seen two more compassionate, caring and loving people than Dr Molly and Vet Tech Anna!

The staff at Barrington Oaks Veterinary Hospital have gone above and beyond anyone has ever for our pets! I will never go to another Vet again! They have gone the extra mile for my Neko (cat) that was just spayed (at a different Vet) and ended up with a bladder infection and foreign body in her bowels and stomach I can never thank Barrington Oaks Veterinary Hospital enough for everything they have done!

I am very impressed with how quickly the Vet was able to diagnose and treat my mini Dachshund, Max. Max was in pain, shaking, not eating and hiding in the closet. I thought he had re-injured his leg...
I am very impressed with how quickly the Vet was able to diagnose and treat my mini Dachshund, Max. Max was in pain, shaking, not eating and hiding in the closet. I thought he had re-injured his leg but I was totally wrong! The Vet did a thorough exam and knew right away it wasn't his leg. After a thorough round of tests the results came back within 20 minutes and the Vet came in with medications and an IV of fluids to treat Max for Anaplasmosis and a sore back (minor spine issues). The Vet and technician were very gentle with Max and treated him well. Max came back from the tests wagging his tail and happy! After his first round of meds at home that afternoon Max was feeling better than he had all week. His fever went down and he was finally interested in eating again. I am SO grateful!! I also appreciated their efforts to make the treatment rooms less stressful with calming music and other touches. THANK YOU for helping my pup feel so much better so quickly!

When we lost our petsitter at the last minute, I was faced with boarding my 2 dogs, but they both needed a Bordetella vaccine just days before our weekend away. I live nearby and called Barrington Oaks and I was able to get an appointment the very next day. They were very kind to me and my dogs, gave me an opportunity to ask questions. I found their prices to be moderate, not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. I would recommend this vet to anyone and will seek their services again in the future.

Every time I come here its an outstanding experience!! I've brought in rats, turtle, dog, big snake and so on and they always are ready to tackle it! When I made the appointment I was told their would be no exam fee for a follow up booster appointment. However, there was an exam fee as it is their policy to give an exam every time. The clinic then hid this mistake from me by rolling the fee into one of the vaccinations instead of k…eeping as a separate line item like it had been with our first appointment. It's seems like someone just gave us misinformation and it caused a big snowball affect. Anyways, the company is now refunding us for the miscommunication and what became a hidden fee. Now that the truth has been found and the problem has been rectified with good customer service, I am giving them a much better rating but am overall still a bit leery of the business for trying to hide their error. Overall, they are caring, their pricing is spot on, and they have good customer service. You just may want to check your bill for accuracy and ensure you are being charged as they described when you booked the appointment. Afficher la suite

went in this morning with my African side neck turtle and everyone there was fantastic!! the doctor quickly knew how to handle a turtle and gave him a wellness exam as well as confirming my thought that he had tapeworms. the two nurses were super helpful and even asked about him to learn things they didn't know. I've been looking for a good exotic vet for awhile now and finally found one that knows what they're doing and is reasonably priced!!

The staff is always so friendly and helpful when I bring my animals here. Most recent my dog was having an allergic reaction and was itching uncontrollably. Dr. Kim saw him, provided a thorough diagnosis, and we began treatment. He is getting better and the itching has stopped, he is gaining his weight back and is back to his crazy self. I would highly recommend anyone to this vet because of the great care and compassion they use for every animal that walks through the door. Thank you, Barrington Oaks!

Took urine sample from my dog with an unnecessary and expensive ultrasound procedure to confirm a bladder infection. Extra $55 cost that I was not informed of when leaving my dog there for the day. Called around other vets in the area this is a senseless charge when a sample can be taken when the dog is peeing. Also urinalysis did not include a culture for the UTI so the antibiotics are not resolving the infection.

Recently, the team of Dr Molly and Vet Tech Anna have been caring for our lab, Duke and our beagle, Libbey. I have been around dogs for sixty five years now and I can say that I have never seen two more compassionate, caring and loving people than Dr Molly and Vet Tech Anna!

The staff at Barrington Oaks Veterinary Hospital have gone above and beyond anyone has ever for our pets! I will never go to another Vet again! They have gone the extra mile for my Neko (cat) that was just spayed (at a different Vet) and ended up with a bladder infection and foreign body in her bowels and stomach I can never thank Barrington Oaks Veterinary Hospital enough for everything they have done!

I am very impressed with how quickly the Vet was able to diagnose and treat my mini Dachshund, Max. Max was in pain, shaking, not eating and hiding in the closet. I thought he had re-injured his leg but I was totally wrong! The Vet did a thorough exam and knew right away it wasn't his leg. After a thorough round of tests the results came back within 20 minutes and the Vet came in with medications and an IV of fluids to treat Max for Anaplasmosis and a sore back (minor spine issues). The Vet and technician were very gentle with Max and treated him well. Max came back from the tests wagging his tail and happy! After his first round of meds at home that afternoon Max was feeling better than he had all week. His fever went down and he was finally interested in eating again. I am SO grateful!! I also appreciated their efforts to make the treatment rooms less stressful with calming music and other touches. THANK YOU for helping my pup feel so much better so quickly!

When we lost our petsitter at the last minute, I was faced with boarding my 2 dogs, but they both needed a Bordetella vaccine just days before our weekend away. I live nearby and called Barrington Oaks and I was able to get an appointment the very next day. They were very kind to me and my dogs, gave me an opportunity to ask questions. I found their prices to be moderate, not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. I would recommend this vet to anyone and will seek their services again in the future.
