I've had good and bad experiences here. The bad outweigh the good though. They are great for routine vaccinations. I love their community involvement with food drives, lost and found pets, social media education. Customer service is okay, some drs seem very passionate, others defiantly not. I can't say that id ever go back for any kind of dental procedure, surgery, emergency or anything past vaccinations though. Read Less

Very compassionate and caring staff. They work with you on whats best for your pet and what you can afford. Staff is friendly , and professional. The facilities is always clean.our friends beautiful retriever whom we all loved became very ill with cancer. it became clear the compassionate thing to do was to put her sleep. Last two appointments I waited over 45 minutes for. With nervous rescues I can't wait that long. I understand emergencies but... Rescue owners DO NOT see Dr Diane. She claims my dog bit her (and brings it up every time I bring him in which makes me think she feels he doesn't deserve vet care) when he's never been out of my sight and kenneled when he's not in exam room. My cat has been poked and prodded by several of the friendly, purrrfessional vets and vet techs at this clinic, and he and I like them all (as does my sister, whose cats also reluctantly visit this clinic). They are empathetic, gentle, and wonderful at easing your worry while explaining procedures. Not to mention they are experts at obliterating cats' stank breath!We have sent numerous other friends and family here...which is a 20-30 minute drive away from home town. While there are other veterinary clinics in Red Wing *shout out to The Bluffs for also having taken wonderful care of our family pets over the years*, paws-down we will visit the Hastings clinic first due to large cost savings ...about 2/3 to 1/2 of what you pay for office visits/teeth cleaning/extractions, etc.. elsewhere. My boyfriend and I have two cats that are well taken care of at Hastings Vet Clinic. Every time I go there I am accepted for my appointment quickly and the vets know how to calm my cats that get nervous from all of the big dogs. The vets are patient and respectful to me and my cats. My eldest cat Loki had an eye problem and they took him in quickly and solved the problem right away. He was also scared because of the noise from the dogs and the fact that his eye hurt but the doctor was very calm and patient with Loki. I am very happy and will continue to go back.Read Less

Our family has visited this clinic for more than 15 years and always received the highest standard of care. The last couple of years we have had a few elderly pets get very ill on weekends and had to use emergency care. We have always had thorough exams and great experiences, never rushed even on ER hours. Dr. Mike was amazing with my sick little boy. After being turned away from my regular vet because it was too late in the evening, (4 p.m) I called this location and they were so welcoming. After treating Sylvio I was told to call at any time if he got any worse. This clinic makes sure to be there for your pet when needed. Absolutely switching to this clinic after yesterday.
