I took my very sick cat to them. They took good care of her but told me they could not do the tests that she needed and suggested an emergency vet. I was thankful for their honesty and gentleness. They really seemed to care. I took her to another vet where she got the treatment she needed and is doing great. I called them and thanked them. If in a bind, I would go back to them. I absolutely love this vet! Dr.Charlie is the best doctor I've ever met! I have a rabbit who has a cleft lip and got an infection in his mouth and Dr.Charlie has gone above and beyond to make sure my rabbit gets better! My rabbit loves him also, he's always so calm and content with him, his other vet doctor he had he didn't like him he always tried to run away and not let him touch him. And isn't only Dr.Charlie who are awesome there it is all the staff! They make you feel welcomed and you just feel like you're bringing you're animals to the best place! I am sad to see these bad reviews. I have been going to this vet for 5+ years and not had any problems. The staff has been very kind/caring of my cat and the prices have been reasonable. I haven't had any trouble getting in on short notice. My sister & her husband took their dogs & cats here and I referred my roommate with her two cats. I hope Dr. Jon gets past this hardship. Terrible!! Google them! Woodman sure has a lot to say on these reviews but he had nothing to say on WCCO'S investigation. The Truth, they tortured our dogs for a month til one died to hide their careless mistakes. For teeth cleaning!! Thank God we took our last Shihtzu to another Vet to save her. Woodman is a liar. He currently lost his license and is operating illegally. Many of us are going to picket him soon. .... Woodman, don't continue lying. You try to lie your way from the truth and you keep getting caught. Refund Emily for your poor service. Quit being a Vet. As soon as this legal stuff is over, if you haven't left, we are going to picket you. We will not give up!! You still don't understand what you put us through. Absolutely horrible experience that no words can possibly explain. Go on the website for the MN Board of Veterinary medicine and you will see all that you need to see. Multiple claims of malpractice by two "veterinarians" that do not deserve to continue to practice in the field. Please hear my sincere words of caution when I say DO NOT USE THIS CLINIC. You will regret it. Added as a result of owners response: Jon Woodman is a liar and in complete denial of his incompetence as a veterinarian. His response to my initial review of the services he provided is filled with lies and attempts to cover the real truth of what went on with my dog. NEVER ONCE did he refer me to a specialist, nor did I EVER STATE A DESIRE TO EUTHANIZE MY PET. Jon can continue to lie and make up stories to attempt to cover his extreme lack of professionalism and malpractice with regards to treating my pet and many others. The real truth has already been proven by the facts, is written on the wall and is crystal clear. If Jon Woodman actually provided appropriate care for my animal, then why was his license taken away so that he is no longer able to practice as a veterinarian? Also, why has his malpractice insurance company agreed to compensate me for damages if the treatment provided was adequate? They where found guilty of trying to decisive the state veterinary board and altering records and numerous other offences. Go and read it On the MN STATE VETERINARY BOARD!!!!! I will take a lie detector test to prove their guilt! ( Go fund me for the cost) This is only one of their statements (see Mary Christensen's post & reply) mocking the two employees he fired for turning them in for animal abuse! he has also insulated the clients whos pets they have harmed (some in the result of death) and are involved in these multiple cases against Town & Country Veterinary Services. There has been no justice for the animals and/or clients. I am telling the truth and could prove all the employees that witnessed his acts, the lying, criminal acts, and the harm they have caused to animals, with a lie detector test! I do not think the Woodmans could do the same. PROTEST TOWN & COUNTRY VETERINARY SERVICES AND SAVE OUR PETS!!!! And for the monthly reminders that he is accusing us for, Not one employee (Can't give details) could contest that they never had stamps to send the reminders out and/or ink for the printer or worse actions, If just one employee detest any of these facts or blame the other employees they are just as big of liars and guilty as Jon & Julie Woodman. God Save Us All we have no Justice System My response to owner's comments; So funny, you do not have much of a memory do you, the lies just keep building.--- As for the dogs Julie burned and you tried to cover it up. I did stress my opinion very loudly that they where burns, every employee that questioned it I stated to them all THEY ARE BURNES AND NEED TO BE TREATED AS SUCH!!---As for your proof of the reminders, I know exactly what proof you are referring to and if you recall that client trax program was not working in keeping accurate counts and not just with the reminders-when printing off reports it would show zero and/or inadequate counts. We had contacted client trax more than once for these issues you chose not to fix it because of lack of funds. And once again, all the employees had to process the reminders twice per month to be sent by mail, e-mail or by phone.--- As for the taxes 20,000 that's not bad because the first time you got in trouble with the IRS it was a lot more money and fines than that, you remember that don't you, I do. And if you recall when you first showed me how and what you wanted me to with the taxes (this is funny, you told me there is no tax on taxed items and you tax the items that are not taxed) I told you that I am pretty sure that is not how taxes work, you declined to listen. The inventory was a failure and a joke well before I started there especially how you kept and used out dated products (which you where found guilty of). I could go on and on with this and know a lot more than you think I do but the legalities of it all is more than I care to deal with. And my title was manager but as you put it, I was not so much a manager as I was more a glorified receptionist because you took care of that stuff. As for why I stayed I will plea the 5th. You only are doing the education because you are forced to because you where found guilty of a number of offences. if in the past three years you are trying to prove your care, why are you still harming pets and lying to the public. Terrible experience. Burned our dogs with heating pads during dental cleaning. They lied to us after this happened resulting in the death of one dog, and permanent scarring of the other. I do not recommend this place at all. Jon contends our dogs' records were computer generated and blames an employee for their loss. He altered the handwritten records...not computer generated records. He now is posting publicly things he felt an employee did wrong and the reasons she was fired. bottom line is employers are responsible for their employees and their business.Read Less

I am so sad to write this review. I brought my dog here and she was quite old. Dr. John seemed nice but somewhat detached. He prescribed antibiotics and said that since her teeth were so bad that she would need these to be able to eat. He prescribed the meds to be taken for a week a month.Sometimes they had her meds, sometimes they didn't. Sometimes we waited for them to order them and it could take weeks for them to get them in, even though she was on a set schedule and they knew we would be there to get them. She was quite old, about 19, had pretty much been not doing anything for weeks and had a very, very bad night. We called the vet to try to get her in so that she could be at peace. They could not fit Us in. After spending quite a bit of money every month, they could find absolutely no way to help us and wanted to make an appointment for us about a week later. We went elsewhere. When we went elsewhere they told us that she was deaf and nearly blind. Dr John never mentioned it. They also got us in as an emergency even though we had never been there before. Oh, and you did know that dogs should not be on antibiotics that many months in a row because the side effects can be so bad, right? Usually maybe two months in a row or three but not as a lifesaving measure because you are not increasing the quality of life.Later, both of the doctors were in the news for harming an animal during surgery, unintentionally by using inappropriate products and then covering up what had happened. There are other local vets that are far more invested in the animals' health. Read Less

We live about 30 miles away from this clinic, and highly recommend them. They are reasonable, and give the best care for your pet without trying to up-sell you or require additional services just to make a few bucks. They are very thorough on discussing all options of care, but the priority is the care of the pets and animals. If money is tight, don't let an animal suffer, they will work with you to give you options. Read Less

I love taking my pets here. All of the staff that I've dealt with are awesome and so sweet. My big chocolate lab has accidents once in a while when he is in a new place and they are always so nice about it. I have tried to clean up his messes and they always turn me down. On my first visit to see Dr. Jon was with my sick cat. As it turned out he was in much more difficulty than I had expected. While this was a real heartbreaker for me, Dr. Jon and his staff made the entire experience somehow easier. They were wonderful with my valued pet, and very gentle and caring. When it came time to make the difficult decision their compassion was uplifting. For me this was a heart wrenching tragedy, and the respect and caring they gave was marvelous. I would strongly recommend them as good place to take your pets. When I am once again a pet parent, I will be sure to go back to these wonderful people. Read Less

My parents have gone to this vet for a very long time, and I remember one time when I was younger our golden retriever needed a very expensive surgery and the quote from other vets was well over 600 dollars. My parents thought they would have to put our dog down, but the man that runs town and country vet gave us a VERY reasonable price, less than half of the other costs. She had the surgery and lived a long and happy life. Another time the same dog had an ear infection that was causing her to not be able to walk, I was young and terrified, and didnt know what was wrong, so at 2am in the morning, my dad called his emergency number and he met us at the clinic a half hour later. Barely charged us anything. And now that I have my own dog, he needed a lump removed from his eye, and everywhere I went in Wisconsin, which is where I currently live, gave me a quote of at least 700 dollars. I drove to MN to visit my parents and stopped in, he did it for 150. My dog is doing great and I highly recommend this guy. He is a country vet, and runs a truly honest business.
