The good- Polly is great. We took our puppy Sebastian to her for 5 months or so, and she did a fantastic job taking care of him.

The good- Polly is great. We took our puppy Sebastian to her for 5 months or so, and she did a fantastic job taking care of him.
The bad- We had an awful experience with Dr. Nigon. We chose to neuter our puppy, and Dr. Nigon did the surgery. He was helpful and informative before the surgery, but things went very poorly post-op. We were told that Dr. Nigon nicked a blood vessel during surgery, and when our little guys blood pressure returned to normal, his incision site had swelled to the size of a large apple. My dog could not sit down without being in pain for two days, and he had to wear the cone for over a month. We also paid somewhere around $70 for puppy diapers, as the area was bleeding for the first few days. After speaking with the other Veterinarians in this office, we were told that what happened to Sebastian is extremely rare, and typically only happens to older dogs. I realize there is risk with any surgery, but when we asked Dr. Nigon about it directly, he became very defensive and took 0% of the responsibility. In the end, we paid hundreds of dollars for a terrible experience.
If you're going to this vet, I would highly encourage you to use one of the other three veterinarians.

Wonderful! The vet and assistants were fantastic with my dog and patient with both of us. And it was so amazingly cost effective. I was nervous about how much the appointment was going to cost. They put my mind at ease by helping my dog without draining my bank account. Wonderful service!!!

Very disappointing. Our lab had a tumor removed on her leg in the fall of 2016. Exactly one year later the tumor came back bigger than before. Took her in to have it removed again and Dr.Nigon (who d...
Very disappointing. Our lab had a tumor removed on her leg in the fall of 2016. Exactly one year later the tumor came back bigger than before. Took her in to have it removed again and Dr.Nigon (who did the surgery the previous year) said "well, looks like I didn't do a very good job last time did I?" Then as he takes the bandage off that we had put on, he proceeds to say "well lets get her back in the room before she bleeds to death out here". Really??? I'm sure he'll read this and probably deny ever saying it, but every word of this is 100% true. And to make things worse, our dog passed away 3 days later due to complications from surgery - probably because she was so old. But she never would have been in surgery again if Dr. Nigon had done his job right the first time. We will never be going back and we will never refer anyone to go here. In fact, we will be sharing our situation with everyone.

I brought my German shepherd to be boarded there and the desk employee automatically assumed he was dangerous when we have brought him there before. She didn't know how to handle him properly when we dropped him off and she commented after receiving him that he better be easy to care for, because they have high school kids working for them.I guess toy dogs are what they want for their kennels. It's affordable but we won't be back as the service has declined over the years.

I love Carriage House Animal Hospital. Dr. Bailey and Polly are both AMAZING. Along with everyone that works there! I will definitely continue to make the drive from Rochester so that Belle, Sippi & Foxy get the best care in the area! They are very knowledgeable, caring and affordable. I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for an animal hospital in the greater Rochester area to call Carriage House!

I've got nothing but wonderful things to say about this clinic. I've referred friends and they've referred friends - They take time to know your pet and remember them when they come in! They are very kind and economical. I live in Rochester and its definitely worth the drive to Kasson for this top notch care for my dog. :)

The good- Polly is great. We took our puppy Sebastian to her for 5 months or so, and she did a fantastic job taking care of him.
The bad- We had an awful experience with Dr. Nigon. We chose to neuter our puppy, and Dr. Nigon did the surgery. He was helpful and informative before the surgery, but things went very poorly post-op. We were told that Dr. Nigon nicked a blood vessel during surgery, and when our little guys blood pressure returned to normal, his incision site had swelled to the size of a large apple. My dog could not sit down without being in pain for two days, and he had to wear the cone for over a month.
