Cedar Pet Clinic

Lake Elmo, Minnesota
General Info
Cedar Pet Clinic is distinguished by the quality and the reliability of its services. Cedar Pet Clinic forms close bonds with Lake Elmo families by providing veterinary services that evolve along with the animal and lifestyle conditions throughout Minnesota. Appointments initiation will require the patient to have a lifestyle and behavior update, which encompasses appetite, sleep, and social patterns, gait activity, and the emotional response. Medical examinations entail oral screenings, weight monitoring, joint rotation and temperature sensitivity tests, as well as heart functionality assessments. Spaying/neutering, puberty, weight stabilization (adult), and senior onset tracking are concurrent with breed-specific and weather-related issue monitoring. Cedar Pet Clinic offers various services, including diagnostic testing, vaccinations (core and elective), dental care, pain assessment, mobility coaching, nutritional counsel and parasite control. Frequency and intensity also vary with age and mobility. This considers local climate health measures like spring allergies, summer heat, and winter inflammation prevention. Planning may encompass timelines for adolescent-to-adult growth, adult wellness, or early intervention in geriatric pets. Care logs and follow-up goals, including behavior-based pacing information, are sent to the owners. Families could track weight cutoffs or adjust recheck frequency in the winter months, and use stress monitoring apps for seniors. Busy households with several senior pets on staggered routines can access flexible scheduling and remote follow-up services. Cedar Pet Clinic provides dependable, personalized wellness plans for pets based on age, activity, and seasonal conditions to pet owners in Lake Elmo and greater MN. The practice provides a wide array of services including Diagnostics, Nutritional Counseling, Microchipping, Allergy Testing, and Emergency Care among others. These therapies ensure that pets receive appropriate care at every life stage, ranging from basic checkups to advanced medical support. Pet owners value the team’s expertise and the way they naturally communicate compassion toward their clients, in addition to their ability to explain medical decisions clearly. The goal is to establish long-term relationships through consistency and caring when pet owners need support, whether it is senior pet care or emergency health issues. Additionally, the clinic plays a critical role in educating pet owners and implementing preventive health strategies. Cedar Pet Clinic’s community involvement enhances awareness and education on responsible pet ownership. Both new and returning clients appreciate the fact that precious pets are in good hands and the clinic keeps up with modern trends.

I am giving low stars to this vet clinic for several reasons. The only reason I gave 2 star is because they had hot chocolate available. Otherwise I would have gave none. I am very saddened and displeased with my decision to go to cedar clinic. I was referred there by a local vet who admitted they know very little about ferrets..and I appreciate that ( they admitted they couldn't help, they didn't fake it). But cedar clinic is another story. Not only did they charge $80+ just to walk in the door but the vet didn't even know how to properly hold my girl. He said a million different horrible diseases it could be...all the testing and meds she needed.we had to drive over an hour to get there, we were there for about three and then the long drive home. All for a +$500 vet bill and no answers. My boyfriend figured out her ailment right away. I knew we should have left when the testing started. I feel like my poor Annie Sullivan was put through a bunch off unnecessary things so this unknowledgeable doctor could scam over five hundred dollars from us. I don't know how they are as far as dog and cat care but no go on ferret care. The doctors people skills were poor and his ability to scam desperate families in their time of fear and just wanting to make their pet well is sick. I will Never give them the chance to scam my family ever again. Read Less

I have had nothing but good experiences with Cedar Pet Clinic since I have been going there. It is extremely hard to find a knowledgeable vet for sugar gliders, and I have found just that. Dr. Bailee and Dr. Plantz have worked with my Edgar and Walter now (sugar gliders) and have been nothing but great with them. They saw Edgar when he had an emergency and was in really critical condition, and I will always be grateful to them for taking such great care of him and saving his life that day. Dr. Bailee was very upfront with what he needed to do and what he thought was going on, and we did many follow up appointments to make sure he was still on the road to recovery. Dr. Plantz has also started seeing my snake recently, and has done an excellent job with her. She made up a treatment for her mites and we are working on her anemia to get her healed. It is also hard to find a vet willing to work with snakes and that has some knowledge about them. I feel very comforted knowing that I know exactly where to bring my exotic pets when there is an emergency, and also just for normal care. You guys rock! Read Less
