The staff was so nice. There was a delay in my cats being seen because of an emergency but they kept me informed and kept apologizing. The doctor explained what was going on with my cats and was very thorough. The support staff were awesome too. I recently moved back to the area and wasn't sure where to take my cats. I love that Southfork is cat friendly and I love their stance on not declawing cats. I live in Apple Valley but am happy to drive a little further because of the great care they got!Read Less

Thank you for not declawing cats! Any veterinarian who does not perform barbaric outdated unnecessary p3 toe amputations on cats is tops in my book. I take my cats and dogs to a veterinarian who does not declaw cats, even if I have to travel an extra 20 minutes, it is worth it, they don't cry and whine in the car anymore like they used to when we used our ex-vet. Animals are sentient beings, not property for humans to mutilate. No wonder they used to cry on the way to our ex-vet, they were wondering if any of their body parts were going to get amputated. I have been absolutely blown away by Southfork's care and kindness. A couple of weeks ago one of my rats took what I can only assume was a nasty fall, and lost the ability to move her back end. Southfork wasn't my usual vet (but they are now!), but they were still able to fit my little princess in to see Dr. Belisle inbetween scheduled appointments if I dropped her off in the morning. Unfortunently the damage was too severe and her prognosis was not good, so I made the decision to put her down that day to limit her suffering. Dr. Belisle and her team of vet techs went ABOVE AND BEYOND for me and my little furbaby. The process at the end went so smooth. I still greieve for her, but knowing how well we were treated at this clinic has made me feel so much better. Not only did I get a sympathy card from the doctor and team at the clinic, but they also made a donation to a foundation in my Coraline's name. All of you at this clinic are so wonderful, thanks for making a very painful, tear filled day manageable for me. I am forever grateful for your kindness. Me and my two pups absolutely love this place!! All the vets and techs are amazing with my old dogs! Carrie is always up front greeting us with a smile! My dogs love everyone there and trust them so much! It's so comforting to go to such a great place! Woke up this morning to find our ferret in distress....we don't have a regular vet yet in the area since we just moved here a couple months ago, took him to Southfork where they did everything they could for him. Knowledgeable and Compassionate. My cats have been going to Southfork for 10 years and they are an outstanding group of people. Dr. Paula is very compassionate, kind, thorough and knowledgeable. She has diagnosed my cat's ailments correctly and helped save the life of my cat Mitts. She really took the time to check him out and gave him all the necessary tests. They have a network of highly specialized vets that they work with who also come in to the office. My cat needed radiation treatment for his thyroid tumor and now he is happy and healthy. The care and compassion they give to my pets is superb. When the time came to put my cat Mandy to sleep - they helped and assisted in a very dignified, loving manner.
