They've been there for me through thick and thin; everything from the mundane vaccination to the horrific day when my poor guy was attacked by another dog. Before Dr. Harris, injury and illness were always a stressful thought in the back of my mind- "where would I go", "what would I do", but now I am worry free because I know that certain help is only a phone call away. When my 13 yo dog woke up with a broken tooth, dr. Kristen & staff were supportive, quick to respond and understanding of my helicopter dog mom needs. I brought my hell cat in for a dental a few weeks later and they dealt with her "personality" in stride. There is a parking lot which is great too! Now renamed MetroPet. Kristen Harris, DMV, and Dr. Kai Dahlin are both U of M vet school graduates and just terrific. Their care and attn to detail are unmatched. Kai volunteers at the State Fair every year doing neuter and spays. Our pup has allergies and they have been so great with information and now we go their for all our pet medical needs > Even for advice! On Hennepin Ave with off street parking - highly recommended. This is a good clinic with fair prices and great people. They clearly love pets and enjoy their work. Note that the name of the clinic is now Metro Pet. The longtime owner of AMC passed away and the employees purchased the business from his widow. So the name is different but most of the people working there are the same, and they still have all the files and records on hand as they did before. Read Less

I recently adopted a kitten and have brought her to Animal Medical Clinic 3 times now. The staff is awesome - very welcoming, helpful, and always cheery! I called one evening to inquire about pet insurance, and they went above and beyond to help me choose the right company! Dr. Kai is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. Since then, my cat has had a dental and teeth removal. She is like a new cat. What can I say? I just really had a great experience. I was seen immediately when I walked in the door. They greeted my dog and I very warmly and made me feel like I was at a best friend's house. Everything went smoothly and to top it off they didn't put a huge dent in my pocket like some of the other vets in town. I've never taken my own dog to the vet before. This is my first dog, and I wanted to make sure she was in good hands. I went to Animal Medical Clinic for her shots and her spay and I just LOVED them. They were so nice and I just felt really comfortable there. They even called me after I dropped Sophie off for her spay to tell me how she was doing.
