Best Friends Animal Hospital was established in September 1994. The goal was to provide a continuation of a 40 year old practice located in Richfield, MN known as the Cutler Animal Hospital. Dr. Nick Gatto, the owner and practicing veterinarian, completed his undergraduate studies at Colorado State and graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. He has spent his entire career in private practice beginning with a mix of large and small animal medicine in Morris, MN. Dr. Gatto has been the owner of the Best Friends Animal Hospital since 1994.
Our mission is to provide quality veterinary services in a friendly, compassionate environment for the benefit of the patients, clients, and practice. Our caring staff members have a great amount of animal experience and knowledge and are all dedicated to providing the best care for you and your pets. Our technicians are qualified for nursing care, client education, dental cleaning, radiology, laboratory and anesthetic procedures. We pride ourselves in our friendly staff, quality services, and our long lasting relationships with pets and their families.

Absolute best experience I’ve had with a vet ever. I brought my 120lb Cane’ Corso to them due to a swollen toe. They got me in within a couple of hours, they have late hours which are perfect for people that work. Their prices are extremely reasonable, best around.... Most vets I have brought him to have been intimidated and afraid of him. One vet even said we would have to bring him through a back door because they didn’t want other clients getting scared. We brought him in and they actually gave him a chance. They treated him like a normal dog, and he loved them. He was cuddling with them, he loved everyone who worked there. There were giving him treats afterward. It was such a positive experience, and you can tell they are very knowledgeable about dogs. I look forward to using them as my regular vet for both of our dogs! Ver más

Been bringing my dogs here for over 16 years. Best friends has taken really good care of my dog. Dr. Ghatto takes his time with your pets and closely examines them. After my first dog passed away at due to heart failure the staff there sent us a sympathy card which I didn't expect. They really care about my dogs and do a great job keeping me up to date if my dog needs to stay for observation or tests

Took our new rescue pup in to have him looked over. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Often you go into a vet office and people don't seem too thrilled to be there. Through the whole examination they kept our dog incredibly calm and it was a very pleasant experience. I know all of our pets are in good hands when we come here. Definitely recommend them.

The best all around vet hospital I've ever gone to.
Able to get in for appointment pretty quickly. Very friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff. Very low and most fair pricing...much less than anywhere else I've ever looked into or gone to and that's after going to numerous vets throughout my life. Never pressured to pay for more or with upselling and told many times if don't really need to pay for further things or at time.
I love this place. I've been going with two dogs and two cats for regular exams, shots and other issues...all of my pets since their first vet appointments. That's over four years.

Dr Gatto and his staff are the only people I would allow take care of my best friend, Miss Kitty. He and his staff take their time carefully examining your pet, being extremely thorough and not making you feel they are rushed or distracted. At the moment he is examining my pet, it is clear Miss Kitty has his undivided attention and compassion. They not only take great care of my best buddy, they show that same level of care with me (which can sometimes be more of a challenge than caring for my cat). I cannot speak any more highly of Dr Gatto and the true professionals he surrounds himself with. Best Friends Animal Hospital is a true class act.

Dr Nick Gatto has a very calming air about him, while also assuring you he has things under control. Their fees were very reasonable. I used to go to a different vet who will remain nameless. After a couple bad experiences I decided to try somewhere new. Best Friends had great reviews and was near me so I gave them a go. Now that I've been, I could move to St. Cloud and I'd keep them as my vet. The difference from my old vet in terms of both quality and cost was amazing. Best Friends is so great with my cat. I've seen both Dr. Gatto and Dr. Metzen and they are wonderful, and you can tell they care about their work. All the techs are friendly and very great with my little one as well. And the costs are like half of my old vet. I literally cannot recommend them enough to convey how great they are!
