I feel compelled to write a review for Blue Cross Animal Hospital, even though I haven't had a cat for about a year, just because my experience with BCAH--and specifically Dr. Deb--was so completely different from what others have written. I sincerely hope you give them a try, as I think they are a gem.I first went to Dr. Deb some 12 or 13 years ago, with my then-10-year-old cat Selma. My cat had a lot of fight in her, and would usually try to bite her way out of the exam. Dr. Deb would laugh and call for backup, and between her and the other tech they would give Selma her exam. I never saw them be anything but gentle and firm--exactly what my cat needed. We continued to see Dr. Deb until Selma's death after 10 more years. Over the years Dr. Deb helped me decide, with a lot of compassion and understanding, what care was reasonable (e.g. bi-weekly sub-q fluid therapy at home and the occasional kitty laxative) and what might have been, well, unnecessary and over the top care that neither me nor my cat was up for (e.g. surgery, invasive tests, hourly feedings). When Selma's time came, at age 20, Dr. Deb was unbelievably compassionate and helpful in making the decision. After we put her down, no one came after me when I ran out of the clinic crying (and completely forgetting to pay.) When I came back the next week to pay them, the guy at the counter didn't bat an eyelash (he even said "Happens all the time, we understand.") I feel very indebted to BCAH and Dr. Deb for taking such good care of my cat over the years, and in the end for making a very difficult decision just a little easier.Recently I was fostering a cat for a few months, and took her in to see Dr. Deb for a checkup. I experienced the same heartfelt care for a kitty that was pretty long overdue for some care and testing. My experience has been that their prices for a kitty checkup and various testing were competitive, and they were fine with me filling prescriptions from an online pharmacy (drug prices were a little high, but they were in line with other places I called. Definitely look online for drugs.)Pet care is a very personal choice, and the most important thing is finding the vet you click with. For me, Dr. Deb & I clicked, and I highly recommend that you check them out. Read Less
