We visited Camden Pet Hospital after our vet treated is poorly in a situation that was very stressful for us with regard to our puppy being in significant pain. Camden Pet is the best. When I moved, I thought I would switch to the highly rated vet closer to my new house, no big deal, right? One yearly checkup appt at the new place and I was back at Camden for good. No one can compare. Great with my dogs. Ive been going here for the past 7 years. My dog needed to be put down at 12 years old and the care and compassion they showed was unparalleled by any other vet hospital i had ever been to. My dog was a bigger breed, so in the end stages of life, it would have been difficult to trek him to the vet and it would probably stress him out. They offered an in home euthanasia service that really helped every one of us find more comfort with this already uncomfortable and difficult time. A cremation service was requested, they made us a clay print of his paw, sprinkled a little bit of his hair on it and imprinted his name. It touched my heart so deeply that they did this. I know it is probably just a kit they have on hand, but they took the time! That shows they care! Also, they are more than willing to work with you when financial times are tight. Everyone can appreciate that! The staff has always been bright, cheerful, and helpful. Its corny to say that if i could give them more than 5 stars, i would. I take my three rabbits to Camden and have been very satisfied with the service there. The ladies at the front desk are always friendly and Dr. Fetzer is wonderful. Back when I took my first rabbit to a different vet to get fixed I handed his carrier to the receptionist. I never even met the vet. At Camden I was in the room with my rabbits during the exam and Dr. Fetzer personally showed me some basic care tips. When one of my rabbits was sick she called me at home the day after our visit to see how she was doing and offer some more suggestions. Vets in general can be pricey, but at Camden they€re always really honest about what is suggested versus what my rabbits definitely need so I don€t question the money that I spend. We recently moved and no longer live very close to their location but I€m reluctant to change vets because I love that I can trust them to take good care of my furry babies. Read Less

I brought my dog in after she'd been bitten by another dog. The staff is amazing. They were so sweet to my dog. She ended up having to stay to get stitches and they did a great job. They've been our regular vet for 5+ years. The entire staff is knowledgeable, caring, and sincere. They don't try to push a bunch of extra things at you during regular check-ups and the things they do suggest, they have an exact reason why, but there isn't any judgement if you choose to not have a certain shot or treatment done. The few 'emergency' type visits are what really stand out to me. They've always been able to make time to squeeze my pups in instead of making me go to an emergency vet where the cost would be substantial. Like with the regular check-ups, they don't try to nickle and dime you. They do as few tests as possible to determine the problem and work directly with you in the decision making process, weighing pros and cons of a specific test or treatment. I felt overwhelming gratitude toward the staff today as I brought my dog home after one of these 'emergency' type visits. I could go on for another few paragraphs with how great this clinic is. Treatment and staff are awesome but extremely expensive to treat your pet here for any serious injuries or illness. If you can't afford to pay right there and then you'll need to find a vet that offers payment plans. But like I said the staff were awesome, extremely friendly and our dog Roxy loved them. I felt very pressured into doing xrays when my dog was limping and I felt like the vet didn't listen to me. When the tech came back into the room to tell me the cost for everything she said it wasn't an option to do xrays without giving meds first. I told her that I wasn't comfortable with giving medications when there was a possibility of nothing wrong with her leg anyway. The tech got very short with me and made me feel like I had to do it "her way" IF you go there don't see Gonna, she's not friendly and seemed to be in a bad mood. No thanks! Read Less

I recently took my pet to the Camden pet hospital and found them unprofessional and extremely inexpierenced. After I made my appointment I had questions and found it close to impossible to get through on the phone. I eventually just showed just up to my appointment. I have a large breed dog and the rooms were very small whch made it uncomfortable for him. After waiting for quite some time a vet tech or vet came in (i'm not sure because I recieved no introduction) and approached my pet head on to take his heart rate! Who approaches a dog they have never met head on!!! I was so shocked that I left without getting treatment for my pet and went to another vet. I would not suggest anyone take thier pet here especially of you have a larger breed. Read Less

I don't even know where to start about Camden Pet Hospital, they are all AMAZING. We have been taking our pets there since I was little. My parents started and when I grew up and went on my own, I continued to take my own there. My older dog has some health issues, he has a bone marrow suppression issue, and they are all so incredibly amazing with keeping up on his tests, understanding how nervous he gets coming in and being so patient and kind with him. My little puppy had an altercation with another dog in December, she had a mouth/dental injury. The staff ALL went above and beyond just 'fixing' her. I had phone calls, emails, facebook messages, etc...checking in on her and making sure she was doing okay. The staff ALWAYS go that little extra step to make sure you know they really CARE about your precious babies, I STRONGLY recommend taking your pets to Camden, if you want the best care you can get, you will get it there! My husband and I recently had to put our cat down after sharing her company for 20 years. We had just moved into the Camden area from S. Mpls and were not sure where to take our kitty. We called Camden Pet Hospital and they got us in right away and even had a room waiting for us when we arrived. Even though this was a very sad time they explained to us the process and were very compassionate even though she was not a regular patient.
