Vca Cedar Animal Hospital

Minneapolis, Minnesota
General Info
Thanks to the years of devoted service to the local community, VCA Cedar Animal Hospital is revered for its attentive and personalized veterinary care. VCA Cedar Animal Hospital helps families in Minneapolis and other Minnesota communities develop complex veterinary care methods by building trust and formulating the sensory observation techniques needed for stability. During the initial visit, focus on making your pet feel comfortable as they familiarize themselves with the surroundings and express their responses. Before even attempting to perform a physical examination, the veterinary team needs to observe the animal carefully for signs such as movements of the eyes and tail, gait and posture alterations, and responses to pressure. Medical tests consider joint movement and hydration levels alongside the animal’s weight while examining the gums, coat, and temperature. In order to do that, pet owners have to look at some facts about their dogs, such as sleeping cycles, morning behaviors, how they sound when they play or bark, and any changes in behavior. VCA Cedar Animal Hospital offers medical programs for acute and chronic health problems, surgeries, and seasonal wellness changes. Support encompasses aspects like lab testing, imaging referrals, and infection prevention. It also covers senior animals’ protocol and emotionally-informed recovery checklists. Plans are strategically spaced and sequenced to minimize stress while ensuring that the pet owner does not feel overwhelmed yet adequately informed especially if they have multiple pets or a complicated diagnosis. The core is the essence of communication. Post-visit reports are sent after every appointment, and the follow-ups are done according to how well the pets adjust as opposed to specific timeframe schedules. Through the extensive training program owners will also be able to detect subtle signs of regression and readiness for progression. Long-term care methods encompass pacing, choice-based scheduling, and reassurance. VCA Cedar Animal Hospital offers veterinary services in Minneapolis and Minnesota by analyzing pet behavior and collaborating with families to develop effective care plans that uphold consistency and compassion. The practice offers an array of services such as prescription medications, emergency care, behavioral counseling, surgery, in-house pharmacy, and more. These services aid pets at all life stages, from regular wellness and preventative care to sophisticated diagnostics and treatment. Pet owners also appreciate the team’s ability to communicate with compassion and its expertise, which helps them understand the medical choices made for their pets. Whether it is senior pet care or health emergencies, they desire to have a lasting bond with the pets and their owners. It also plays an integral role in educating pet owners. VCA Cedar Animal Hospital’s community involvement builds a solid foundation of responsible pet ownership. New and returning clients attest to its continual evolution with modern veterinary practices.

My visit was good. I chose this clinic based on ratings and convenience. No complaints. My dog seemed happy, all staff greeted my puppy and she wasn't scared. This was her 1st time to a vet and she ended up being sick. I called the clinic asap when I got home, they assured me that it was expected and when to bring her in for if the symptoms got worse. I chose the clinic for the puppy wellness program and it was a good decision. My puppy had no shots credible from her breeder and the doctor suggested we just start from the basics. She asked about her food, my goals with my puppy, and how to potty training was going. I had dogs all my life but its nice to have a refresher when you have questions. We both will be returning. In the past year and a half we were faced with the need to put both of our sweet, older dogs to sleep. The first was due to old age. The second developed cancer on his leg. Dr. Blake was very understanding as we processed our options. The honesty in explaining his condition were much appreciated. Dr. Smit euthanized both dogs. Both Dr. Blake and Dr. Smit showed such kindness to us! They both expressed sincere sorrow in our loss and reassured us that it was obvious how much we loved him. We even received a beautiful sympathy card from VCA, which meant so much to us! I highly recommend VCA Animal Hospital! Read Less
