My experience at most animal clinics is similar to that of an auto repair shop - I always feel like I'm being hustled. Unlike those experiences, I've never felt misled or unnecessarily upsold on anything at Rockford Road. Top notch service and very reasonable pricing. This animal hospital has the most compassionate vets and vet techs around. They Truly care about the animals that they see. I have been going to RRAH for 21 years. I have gone through the loss of 3 dogs and every time they are there to hug us, console us, and let us feel comforted during a very sad time. I cannot say enough good things about them. Rockford Road Animal Hospital was fantastic. We had lost one of our pets and they handled the whole experience with kindness and compassion. They’re so knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate. They take excellent care of my cat and dog. I trust them implicitly. They are extremely responsive to phone calls and never seem annoyed or put out by questions or requests. They are prompt at sending vaccination updates to my dog’s boarding kennel, and proactive with reminders to schedule regular wellness exams. We have 3 fur babies (dog, cat and rabbit) that we bring to Rockford Rd and wouldn't go anywhere else. We have been clients for 9 years and have always had the best service. Everyone from receptionists, to techs, to Dr.'s...love them all. We brought our newest fur baby (a Holland Lop bunny!) to be neutered. They explained the risks to us of anesthesia on a smaller animal but also explained the consequences of he wasn't neutered. He came through surgery just fine and is cruising around the house like nothing happened. Our dog broke her front leg a few years ago - they got her through that beautifully. We drive 30min to come hear and pass a half dozen other vet offices on the way. They are always professional and friendly. We have never had a bad experience with any of the veterinarians here, but special shout out to Dr. Duff! He is always willing to explain things where you may be uninformed and never comes off judgemental with whatever you decide to do. He helped us through our options when we were losing our Labrador to cancer and made an awful situation as good as it could be. Thank you Dr. Duff! Read Less

I brought my Pomeranian here for the last five years of his life and I wish I would have found them sooner. They have welcoming receptionists with consistantly great service even though they are required to juggle so much. I always felt the techs were knowledge and caring which is so important because when you leave a pet at a clinic it is the techs that are the most hands on with an animal. Our primary veterinarian was Dr. Duff and recommend him to anyone . He presented the best care option with each medical issue and could always answer my questions. Plus he never pushed any unwanted products or services and was very respectful of my decisions. Such a great place where you see the same faces over and over, meaning they are treated well and stay for years. Completely comparable in price to most clinics in the area and worth every penny. To the entire staff, I am eternally grateful for your care and hospitality for my overprotective, noisy, nervous dog. Please continue doing an outstanding job so I can come back with my next pet. We have been going to Rockford Road for ten years. They take such great care and show such concern for our pups. We almost lost our older dog due to illness when she was 4 and I credit the staff and especially Dr. Morrow for her survival and the fact the she is thriving still at ten. Rockford Road Animal Hospital has been caring for my ‘fur family’ for a number of years and has done an exemplary job. Dr Hanson was so sensitive and caring when I had to euthanize my 20 1/2 yr old cat. She made time in her completely booked day and actually held my hand through this very tough event. Everyone here was so great here and one of the vet techs told me that if I needed support, to remember that I was ‘one of the family’ here. They sent cards and a paw print 🐾. I love Rockford Road. The staff are very outgoing and friendly. I have taken all four of my animals (two dogs, a cat, and a bunny) there and recieved top noch care. When I lost my rabbit a few months ago they were so kind and effiecent with me that I could not ask for a better vet. As long as I am in the cities I will continue to go there! Read Less

Wonderful experience every time I've gone! They worked with my cat who has had digestive problems since I adopted him (almost 7 years ago). They were able to figure out the issue within a month! From the beginning they have been wonderful, and before they do something they discuss with you. I want to thank the front desk staff, vet technicians, and the vet who were so kind today when I brought the cat I was watching for a friend in. They squeezed me in for a visit, kept me informed, and when the worst case scenario was arrived at, were very comforting as I made a very hard decision. I would recommend them to anyone with a pet. They're amazing! They've been seeing my dog and cat for almost 2 years now. They're thorough, proactive, and reasonable in price. Just the other day, I had to bring in our cat because he suddenly couldn't walk on one of his legs. They had a full schedule but were able to squeeze us in while still handling their other commitments. They referred us for additional testing at another place, then followed up with me the next day and resumed care. Overview: As newer resident to the area, I had my first visit here yesterday based on the Google reviews here. I just got a puppy last week and wanted to set up a local vet for her. For new pets, RRAH gives you a packet of information, ranging from health concerns & preventative measures, training options, things to watch out for in the home, to a list of good books and online resources to help with training or other questions created by staff and clients based on experiences, not money. A technician went over all this information and answered any questions or concerns and then we can set up our future visits for boosters and next vaccinations. Cleanliness: You wouldn't imagine a vet office to be clean and decorative but it was! They have plug-in air fresheners in each room, rugs, and (during the holiday season) various holiday decorations to make it feel warm and cozy. There are also treats available to make everyone feel comfortable while here! Cost: My basic vet visit, seeing a doctor but no shots, just checking in and ensuring a persistent itch wasn't severe, was around $60. Like many vet offices, they go over preventative actions you can do to help reduce the number of visits you need to make, and which visits will be cheaper because they won't require a doctor, just a tech. You pay at the time of your visit. They accept credit, debit, checks, & cash. (will update this as future visits give more insight to various costs) Friendliness: Nothing lacking here. Everyone was as friendly as could be and all seemed excited and happy to be helping our puppy. Location: Google Maps doesn't completely get you to the parking lot on their directions - it doesn't tell you to turn into the driveway by turning off of Vinewood (take the first left if coming from the lights). It's attached to several other businesses that all share a parking lot so there's almost always parking available somewhere. Read Less

Front desk staff are cheerful and professional, veterinarian...nurses(?) are just the same way, and the primary veterinarians explained differences in care options clearly, concisely, and completely. Absolutely love this vet office! Professional, courteous, prompt and always will find a way to fit you in for any urgent needs. My wife and I have an english bulldog, a high maintenance breed even when you keep them as healthy as ours! We had a few appointments within the last year, each doctor and tech was polite and always complimentary of pet parenting.Definitely a patient focused clinic, love their pet portal online. Makes it easy to request appointments and monitor any vaccinations your pet is due for.Highly recommend this facility and staff! Read Less

Today was my first visit with my new dog Maddy to the Rockford Road Animal Hospital. I was greeted by Tucker and Chrissy who were so kind and welcoming to Maddy and I, offering us treats and coffee and walking me through the paperwork. My technician was Bri who was extremely kind to my dog, professional and funny with me, and spent a lot of time wrestling poor Maddy down so we could get some eye drops in her eye. She was so wonderful with Maddy, working with her right on the floor and answering all my questions quickly and professionally. Dr. Morrow is a fantastic and wonderful vet. I can tell her heart is here with the animals as she spoke to Maddy with a soothing and reassuring voice. She handled all our issues and answered my questions quickly and honestly and was overall just so kind to myself and my dog. I have no reservations about this hospital and although I hope Maddy stays perfectly healthy for her whole life, I will not make a second thought to book an appointment at this hospital, and neither should you! Our family has been well served by every single person at RRAH, from phone contact, vet tech, and all the vets. Our kids gave the hamster a bath--got eye infection--the vet didn't miss a beat in my quest to use the teachable moment. Soon after that we got our first dog, and the kids learned so much, again with the kindness of vet tech's, secretaries and of course Drs. Morrow, Brewer, and Hanson. She developed cancer, they referred us to the U of MN, and let us decide best course of action. After several years, and one summer where we were at RRAH nearly weekly, the ultimate was when we had to put her down and it was handled sensitively as possible. Now with 2 collies we are always in good hands. Some people say this place is more costly, I say, it is an excellent value for my hard-earned dollars since I am always given good information, options, and cost estimates before making choices. I absolutely love the doctors and staff at Rockford Road Animal Hospital! They have always epitomized excellence in caring for my dog over the past four years. The doctors are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in explaining medical issues, side effects, and they always offer alternative treatments. The front desk people couldn't be any more friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. My dog even loves the medical technicians despite the fact that they sometimes have to perform tasks that she dislikes. They take her temperature and give shots in a kind and gentle manner. My first impression of the Rockford Road Animal Hospital was positive. The staff was kind, the decor was updated and the office overall had a nice feel. I waited quite awhile once in the room, which isn't that big of a deal. As I sat there, I started having all the tell-tale signs of an allergy attack - my nose was running, ear canals itching, and my chin was starting to itch (strange, yes I know). Upon leaving to check out, I noticed a cat on the counter right in front of me. When I asked about them, the receptionist informed me that they had 3 (or 4 - can't remember) office cats that had ""the run of the place"" - I think that this is a bit inconsiderate due to the large amount of people allergic to cats. We're so glad we chose RRAH to care for our 2 beagles. All of the staff we have ever met are the nicest people who genuinely love animals. We brought both our dogs there starting when they were little pups. They always get a lot of love & attention there, the staff really seem to look forward to seeing and playing with them; the dogs are not at all afraid to go to the vet. The staff are great on the phone with any questions or concerns, also gave great follow up care after both dogs got fixed. We wouldn't take them anywhere else! Read Less
