We recently brought our 15 year old cat here as he was very sick. After talking with the doctor, we ultimately had to make the difficult decision to have him euthanized. The doctor and staff were absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. They were very supportive, understanding, and kind to my family and were very gentle with our cat. I am so grateful to the entire staff and especially Doctor Madeline Shaw for helping us through this difficult time. Read Less

Ditto all the negative comments. Brought our mini yorkie in because she was hyperventilating and in distress. After checking her vitals and doing an ultrasound, the Vet told us it was most likely an intestinal issue treatable with antibiotics. Then she said she would work up an estimate. She returned with a $600 estimate for an xray and blood work. We said no thank you, just give us the antibiotics. Then the Vets demeanor changed and she was visible angry. The focus quickly turned to money. We won't be going back. Read Less

They deserve less than 0!!!!! They were the most non-caring staff that I have ever known!!!!! Way overpriced, non-caring, poor perspective on the condition of the pet and then giving oral medication when the dog was having a difficult time breathing. The staff seemed to have no idea of the severity of the condition of the animal and would rather have money than a caring spirit. Care was based on how much to pay and not on the focus of how the pet was doing. It is a sad day when all you do is care for money, money and have no feeling for others!!!!!!! or for the creatures you are taking care of!!!!!!! Read Less

I have two experiences to share regarding this EVS Hospital. One was with our ten year old Jack Russell Terrier six years ago now. Diggby was very lethargic and he had several episodes of this over the course of a month, but would recover slowly. We first thought he might be having small strokes because of his age. One night very late he had a bad one. When we arrived in the hospital around 2am they did the examination and were told that it most likely was a stroke or brain tumor. They wanted to run expensive tests and we just could afford the thousands it was going to become. They offered to euthanize and we reluctantly agreed. While we were filling out the release forms to allow the procedure he came running out of the room and was fine like many times before. Very long story short? He was having hypoglycemic episodes resulting from a dog water additive called Xylitol. It was and is used in many products human and animal as an artificial sweetener. It can be toxic to smaller dogs and cause the exact symptoms he was having. The hospital couldn't have known. We took Diggby home where he lived with us happily for another three years. ( very close call ) My second story is of our cat Junior. Tonight March 13th, 2018. I called about our 10 year old male cat that has been diagnosed with a UTI and had received a shot of extended release antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory. He was crying out and his penis was out and he couldn't sit down. I called and spoke with a really nice vet technician "Courtney". She gave me great advice and spoke with the doc on call. I do high recommend these wonderful people because they do have great compassion and they guide you with the best advice and allow you to make the decision. Thanks to the wonderful staff for being there in times when we have needed you. Read Less

I'm disappointed in recent visit. I brought my Golden here years ago and had a good experience but this weekend was a let down. I brought my English bulldog in for a cherry eye that was looking bad. They said sorry we can't do anything for that and it is cosmetic to surgically repair. I asked about steroids after reading on normal vets site and the employee stated she had never heard of that as a treatment option and sent us on our way. 2 days later and at the regular vet, puppy has to spend the day there getting doses of steroid ointment to attempt to reduce swelling and inflammation. Likely will have the ointment for a few days. I get that a cherry eye is not life threatening but apparently is more than just cosmetic at times. Read Less

Not compassionate at all. All they cared about was making sure we had the money to pay for the exam and tests. I would not recommend going here. It seemed as if they did not care about the health of my dog, and just making sure that they get paid. They would not continue with anything until they knew we had the money. They had to make sure we could pay in order to even run tests to diagnose the issue. Read Less

Never ever go to this vets. They did nothing for my 6 week old kitten. All wanted is money up front before even telling us what was wrong. All they kept saying is he could have this or could have this the list when on and on but each of these options were mounting up by the hundreds and they didn't even no what they were talking about. He was dehydrated but they would not help with that until looked at him all over again. In the end we walked out in disgust. I'm afraid to say my little kitten died this morning. If it hadn't been during the night we wouldn't have taken him there but had no choice. Our other vet would have helped with the dehydration and shot antibiotics. Worst vet i have ever been to. All they could talk about was the fee was payable on the day of service. 122 dollars that covers absolutely nothing except them telling you they have no idea what the problem is but for a few hundred more they could run tests. They thought our kitten would be dead from dehydration by morning but refused to even hydrate him without paying for more tests. Unless you are desperate and willing to pay 1000 dollars with no hope of anything except more payments i suggest skipping this place and bringing your animal to your own vet as soon as they can see you. Met some of the staff last week, I had rushed in with my best friend, Mae, who died on my lap at home that night. She had a heart attack and I was crying my heart out when I brought her in. The staff were very understanding and compassionate with what had happened. They let me have a final 10 minutes in a room with her so I could say my goodbye. A week later I received a sympathy card in the mail sending their regards and they signed it. I had no idea they would care that much. I appreciate it so much that they understood the pain I felt, but I know she's in a happier place now and herself again. Very kind, thoughtful, and considerate staff. I appreciated their help a lot.
