I can't say enough great things about Assisi Drive Animal Hospital. Every single person is so friendly and caring to both me and my pets. They do a thorough exam and take as much time with each dog as necessary. They never seem rushed and always have time for questions. Both of my dogs love them. Even my very anxious dog is at ease with them! They give several options for treatment ranging from the most minimal intervention to the most aggressive treatment possible without ever pushing you into making one decision over another. Brought dog in for teeth cleaning and a few teeth extractions, was called and told they had to remove all teeth and breed has a tendency for bad teeth.  They have seen this dog since we got it in 2011, and this is the first time bad teeth would be a problem with this breed, even though previous dog of same breed was never a problem nor mentioned.  When complained that they dropped the ball on not telling me of this over the past years I was told to go elsewhere.  Place is more concerned about the billing than animal care. I am so happy with this clinic! We are traveling for work and it was time for Fred to get his annual shots. Being that we are away from home (six hours away) we had to find a vet here in Rochester. I can honestly say that I wish Dr. Trainor from this vet clinic is our regular vet. The clinic is very nice and quiet with a comfortable waiting area for pets and their parents. The lady who checked us in was very friendly, and the vet...nurse? tech?....was also very friendly. Fred is honestly a very well-behaved little boy so I wasn't worried about her having to accommodate an poor behavior either way. She was very helpful and knowledgeable and kindly answered my questions regarding dental care for Fred. Dr. Trainor was awesome. So gentle and sweet with Fred. He was taken to the back to have blood drawn and for his Bordetella vaccine and after being brought back was very stressed out. Like the point where Dr. Trainor thought it would be best to check his blood pressure. She was very thorough, which I appreciate so much. Fred is my baby and I truly appreciate the fact that his odd behavior was taken seriously and not just brushed off. After all of his vitals came back normal it was suggested by Dr. Trainor that I bring Fred back after the weekend for his second vaccination (a shot...don't remember the name) to make sure Fred basically wasn't overloaded. This was last Friday. I took Fred back today for his second vaccination, and he is doing just fine. Little Man just had a bad case of being stressed out Friday =) Everyone I encountered at this clinic was so friendly and helpful. Dr. Emrich is a fantastic vet. I have never had experience with a vet that examines a dog the way a doctor does a complete physical on a human. You can tell that he really enjoys animals and is very knowledgeable. I really do feel that he has my dog's best interest at heart and isn't just trying to get us in and out of the office as quick as possible. We had our first Vet appointment today here at Assisi with Tobin Emrich, DVM.  First, when we called to make an appointment, the staffer was extremely nice and helpful.  She answered all of our questions as new dog owners and scheduled us promptly.Today, we arrived at 9am and there was ample parking.  The lobby is very quaint and comfortable and Sally was very happy to be there.  The staff were very knowledgeable and treated her so well.In particular, the veterinary technician spent nearly 1 hour answering questions and getting to know Sally.  She was able to draw blood from Sally on the first poke and without any obvious discomfort.  Tobin made Sally very comfortable as well and explained everything very thoroughly.  After we left, we were given access to an online pharmacy, online service dedicated to Assisi Animal Hospital and plenty of information.  Furthermore, they are available even by telephone to help answer any concerns we have.Great experience! We feel very fortunate that our dog groomer recommended this veterinary service. As we walked our dog from the car, one of the staff opened the door and welcomed us. They knew our dog's name and the reason for the visit. We went quickly to the scale for the weigh-in. The staff took us to the exam room and did the preliminary work. The veterinarian came in and introduced himself making very clear eye contact with us and our dog. After his exam, he dropped to one knee to tell my wife, at her eye level, what the issue was, the prognosis, and the options, and the recommended treatment. He suggested a teeth cleaning too. That service was more of the same outstanding caring people working with the dog and we humans. Exceptional people at this veterinary hospital. Read Less
