I have been coming to Apache Animal Hospital for almost 15 years with at least 8 different pets over the years (1 dog and the rest cats.) I could go to closer vets, and there could be cheaper vets. But I'm not checking prices; I love this clinic and the staff and vets are incredibly understanding and patient. They help you figure out priorities if you cannot financially go for the whole recommended list of services. They help you when emergencies arise and when you have to make end-of-life decisions. We have going to Apache animal hospital For a couple years now. We live by three different vet offices and choose to drive 30 min just to bring out dogs to them. They are very informative and don’t scare you or use any high pressure sales pitches. They explain the situation and let you make an informed decision. Apache animal Hospital has proven time after time to be there for my dog. She hasn't been the healthiest pup but the wonderful people at Apache have been so resourceful and determined to make my dog's quality of life the very best it can be. Easy appointment scheduling and reminders are great. And I'll be honest, my dog is not too friendly towards other dogs. Apache has been so helpful! A week after being spayed, my dog began peeing blood. I panicked and just jumped in my car to go to Apache. They saw me immediately, which was incredibly kind. They figured out that she had a UTI, and prescribed antibiotics. My pup is back in action now. It was so great to have a very responsive vet, one that clearly cared greatly about my dog's health! I called this place this morning, thinking I could bring in my English Bulldog sometime next week. They were able to get us in within a few hours. She started going bald a few years ago. She was also drinking and peeing more than usual. We brought her to Banfield and they said it was just temporary baldness, nothing more, and that it would grow back. It never did. Someone referred us to Elm Creek Animal Hospital out in Champlin, saying that one specific doctor there was excellent. We were told it was alopecia, nothing more, and that if we gave her melatonin it would grow back. It never did. We went to a third doctor, Pet Dermetology in Plymouth, and again were told that it was simply cosmetic, and were given some ointment to put on her really dry patches. A year later, she is still bald and has some sores on her skin. She is still drinking and peeing a lot, but now she is even puking. We took her in today to Apache and they spent some time with her before doing any poking around. She was wagging her tail and being somewhat affectionate. Very rare for a doctor visit.  This place did VERY comprehensive testing. They took blood, poop, and urine. (At the other places, the only way they tried to get urine was to bring her outside and try to hold a catcher under her crotch when peeing. She hated it and they were never able to get a urine sample.) This place has a special way to extract urine. Finally, we got an answer. She has Cushin's Disease. It makes total sense - she has almost every symptom of it. I really wish one of the three doctors we had seen earlier would have been able to get to the bottom of this. All this time we could have been treating her. Dr. Travis is who we worked with. He was very patient, explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. My dog liked him, he was super gentle and an all around nice guy. I would highly recommend this doctor. The place was very clean. Friendly staff. We will continue to go to this doctor. Read Less

My experience with Apache has been nothing but stellar. From the front desk ladies to the vet techs to the vets themselves, everyone is kind, caring, and clearly wants the best for my animals. The vet techs are an amazing group who obviously love animals. The vets are extremely knowledgeable, kind, and are sure to spend however much time it takes for you to understand the problem, the options, and the recommended course of action. My cat recently had a bad reaction to some new medication. I called Apache and they got me in that day, just a couple hours after I called! The vets have made follow-up calls to make sure my girls are doing well, something I've never had other vets do before. I will always bring my fur babies to Apache and will always recommend Apache to anyone I know who is in need of high quality veterinary care at a reasonable cost. We have been taking our pets to Apache Animal Hospital for years. First it was our cats. After they crossed the Rainbow Bridge we became the proud mamas to a Yorkiepoo. We stayed with this vet because we always appreciated the attention everyone gives our animals and the patience they have when caring for them. Our puppy was recently ill and they got us in to see the vet right away. They did all the right tests, made a diagnosis and got her onto the road to recovery. We used to bring our dog to a vet clinic associated with a pet supply store and felt dissatisfied with the care, appointment availability, and corporate feel of their clinic. Apache Animal Hospital was a like a breath of fresh air. Appointment availability was much better and the staff was very friendly, thorough, knowledgeable and trusting. We like working with a local clinic as well. They were very clear and upfront about costs. They also offered discounts for basic medications like heartworm and flea/tick prevention. We were temporary caregivers for two pit bulls who initially needed shots and then medical care. Our experience at Apache Animal Hospital was worth more than a five star rating. They were kind and particularly good with our large and sometimes unruly dogs. The dogs ran in each time we visited as if going to see old friends. I will choose the next location I live purely based on its proximity to this animal hospital. They are BEYOND wonderful with their service. My cat loves it here, I love the staff, and they are completely transparent on exactly what is going on. Over the last 10 years I've taken three kitties to Apache and it's always been a good experience. The first kitty I took there had diabetes and everyone was helpful and supportive in teaching me how to give shots.  My two current kitties have been going since they were kittens and have always been treated well. We started going to Apache last summer after we moved to the neighborhood and adopted our dog. They were very helpful when our dog injured her leg and later, when she had a bout of worms. It's nice that they provide estimates before performing services or giving products. Typically they suggest more than services than I find necessary but are never pushy when I decline something. We recently moved to the area, and needed a new vet clinic for our elderly cat. I had planned to "shop around" later this month, as her vaccinations were due. However, she started showing signs of pain & discomfort today, I called around, and the only place that could get me in immediately was Apache Animal Hospital. The staff was wonderful. Brooke was so kind & patient with our cat, and Dr. Dahlen set up a thorough plan to get to the bottom of her issues. The staff at Apache Animal Hospital are so helpful and experienced. I needed them to help me with a particularly nervous dog my husband and I are fostering for our daughter. We do not have a dog of our own so the information we gained in talking them was extremely helpful. The clinic is clean and set up to be extremely user friendly. The scale for the dogs weight is in the floor and the dogs are not aware of even being weighed, very clever! When I went there with our cat yesterday we went to an exam room immediately which allowed me to help Daisy become more comfortable before Dr. Travis examined her. I love this place! We have been coming to Apache Animal Hospital for over 3 years. We have two senior cats with all kinds of issues, but with the help of these professionals we have been able to keep my furry loves healthy and alive. The front desk ladies are very polite and kind and always greet your right away with a smile. It always makes me feel like I am seeing family when I arrive; they give you such a warm welcome. The nurses are all very professional, gentle and caring, they will always let you know if the doctor is running late and apologies multiple times if things are a little delayed. Last time they were running a little late because of the other patient and as a little bonus they offered to trim my cat's nails- that was so nice of them! BUT all this said, the main reason I keep coming back to this place is Dr Dahlin. He's the BEST Vet I have ever worked with: so caring, so attentive. He spends time with you and your pet, he talks to you about all kinds of options and will make sure you have a good plan that you're comfortable with. We have taken our dogs here for some years. Our regular vet left the practice. The veterinarian who saw us in her place, I think it was the owner, didn't like my boxer puppy because he was energetic and not neutered. He spent almost no time examining the dog because of this and stated we could "fix this problem" by having him neutered. We decided on a new vet instead. Read Less

I love Apache Animal Hospital!  My senior cat has severe dental disease.  Their quote was half of another quote for the surgery to fix his teeth.  The vet tech and the veterinarian were so friendly, knowledgeable and really enjoyed my cat.    My cat goes tomorrow for the dental surgery and I know he is in good hands.  I highly recommend! I love Apache! The ladies there are always SO friendly and excited to see my dog - and he LOVES going there. They remember him by name - and I've never felt that they were recommending anything unnecessary. I have heard that they are more expensive than other vets, but I had no issues paying a higher price for the level of service.They're also very flexible about appointment times - and I felt that it was easy to see someone whenever I needed to without feeling squished.The only reason I don't still use them is because I moved out of the state.
