We simply love Shakopee Vet Clinic. We have an elderly pet and all three doctors have provided fantastic care over the past few years. In addition to being exceptionally competent, the entire staff (doctors, techs and front desk staff) is exceptionally loving and compassionate. Dr. Spanish has been calling our home weekly to check in on our old guy and this above-and-beyond service and care is so appreciated. I would recommend this practice without reservation to anyone.

Jack was a well- disciplined, loyal, smart, & perfect dog for us. He was in Rob's life for 16 1/2 yrs., & mine for 12 yrs. We're grateful for the many years we enjoyed with him. Our dogs have gone to Shakopee Vet Clinic for the last 13 years. We are so impressed with the staff. Everyone there has treated our pets as if they are family. I couldn't be happier with the care and the prices are very reasonable. They are clean & organized & their staff is ALWAYS so friendly and understanding! They have been more then accommodating with scheduling and really go above and beyond to make your furbabies feel comfortable. They even do follow ups on your pet to make sure that all is well and to see if you have any questions! That is wonderful customer service! We love our clinic!

If you want to experience a GREAT place for your animal care, SVC is the best option. We always have many pets (cats and dogs), so finding a helpful and affordable clinic is important to us. Dr. Spanish, Dr. O'Brien, and their staff are our "go to" for all out pet needs . Here's just a small list of "excellent" qualities you will find here...very professional, easy to contact and make appointments, call backs from even the doctors are prompt, do their best to squeeze you in during special times, very compassionate and caring, extremely trustworthy and confident with care options, never do we feel over-charged or "sold" additional services, provide optional house calls if needed, and all very affordable...they really do care about you and your pets, it's like having a friend in the veterinary business!

Our little guy vince does not play well with others!!! he does bite ,after a horrible experience with a local vet office he ended up biting one of the techs he was then kicked out I didn't know what to do, I called Shakopee Veterinary office and told them the situation they got Vincent's records and looked them over , they made a appointment to see vince and they handled him great , vince is a rescue dog with issues he seizures once in awhile and he doesn't mean to bite others he is a sweet boy and we have been bringing him here for a couple years he has not biten any staff or the vet. We want to thank Shakopee veterinary office for giving vince a Chance also for being so patient with him , you all are awsome .thank you very much !!

We faced a horrible situation with our dog, as we had to find a new vet to put her down. (Normal vet was "too busy" to help us.) One call to Shakopee Vet Clinic and I knew that we were going to get the compassionate care that the situation required. Diane was my initial contact, and she was so sympathetic. When I called back to make the appointment, Abby was sweet and caring. On the dreaded day, Bethany was fantastic in handling the delicate situation with getting us a room quickly for us to say our last goodbyes. Dr. Spanish was calm and understanding when she came in to the room. Going to a new vet is hard enough under normal circumstances, and in ours was even tougher. The peace of mind Shakopee Vet Clinic gave my boyfriend and I was priceless. We know that when the time comes for our two cats currently at home and for any future pet we bring into our home, our one and only call will be to Shakopee Vet Clinic. Thank you all so much for your amazing care!

Hands down the best vet care! I have 5 pets and I have been to a couple different vets before stumbling across Shakopee Vet Clinc. I will now no longer bring my pets to any other vet! Even living 40 mins away. From regular yearly vet visits to emergency services I am never let down by the great team at S.V.C.!!! All the doctors are so kind, caring and compassionate and always follow up throughly. I can not say enough great things about this clinic. The front desk gals and assistants are just as great! Everyone here goes out of there way to know you are satisfied. Truly the best!

I've been here a few times with my cat that I adopted recently. I have always been able to get an appointment within a reasonable amount of time, and the staff are friendly. My cat has been having litterbox problems, and the veterinarian went out of her way to tell me to call her with any problems. She told me not to feel like I was "alone" in this, which I really appreciated, as my situation has been very frustrating and disheartening. She has always returned my calls in a timely manner, and I have never felt like I was being rushed through the phone calls. She has offered many suggestions (which don't involve me coming back to the vet, so she clearly isn't primarily concerned about selling me unnecessary services), and she is very sympathetic to my situation. It's comforting to know I have a great professional to give me advice when I need it.(Also they have a Keurig in the lobby which is great for early morning appointments!)

After I moved to Shakopee, I needed to find a new vet. I have a diabetic kitty named Rocky that was on 8 units of insulin with one brand. He was still not regulated after working with my previous vet for a few months. After switching him to a different insulin and a couple visits, he was regulated on 2 units and has been for over 10 months . Dr. O'brien is an absolute pleasure to work with and she makes me feel confident leaving my baby in their capable hands. Thank you to all of you who work there, it is obvious that you all have a passion for what you do and take pride in caring for our furry family members!

I really like the clinic, and the vet techs/vets are great. They don't pressure you or try to "up-sell," they just give you the facts and let you make the decisions. The quality of care is excellent, and it isn't outrageously priced (I wish that wasn't a factor, but it does help!)That said, the receptionist is horribly rude. Every time I have called she has snapped, interrupted me, spoken in clipped, half-sentences and been generally abrupt and harsh. Having to take your pet to the vet is stressful enough without someone sighing at you and cutting you off in the middle of a sentence to growl at you. I wish she would take the time to collect herself before answering the phone. I like the care enough that I'll give them another chance or two, but if I keep being treated like that on the phone, I can't say I won't start looking elsewhere.

Okay I'm not going to lie, the building this place is in leaves something to be desired. I often wish that they'd somehow put in at least some decor in the waiting room. It's just so... bleh. That along with the wait time, which we have experienced a handful of times, can be rough. These are the only two reasons I am not giving this place a five star rating.But these things aside - both veterinarians here are fantastic. They have both been thorough and answered any questions we have about our pup. Often times we'll call in "freak out" mode and these guys will reassure us, gladly. They are VERY thorough, to ensure your pet is getting the best care possible. I have a soft place for Dr. Spanish, but Dr. Kelso is also great!

We simply love Shakopee Vet Clinic. We have an elderly pet and all three doctors have provided fantastic care over the past few years. In addition to being exceptionally competent, the entire staff (doctors, techs and front desk staff) is exceptionally loving and compassionate. Dr. Spanish has been calling our home weekly to check in on our old guy and this above-and-beyond service and care is so appreciated. I would recommend this practice without reservation to anyone.

Thankful for Veterinarians that do home visits: Dr. O & technician Jess came out to our home today to assist with providing Jack a peaceful death in a familiar, comfortable, & safe place which he loved. Jack was a well- disciplined, loyal, smart, & perfect dog for us. He was in Rob's life for 16 1/2 yrs., & mine for 12 yrs. We're grateful for the many years we enjoyed with him. He was well loved & his paw prints have left a lasting impression on us & will forever be imbedded within our hearts & memories. Our dogs have gone to Shakopee Vet Clinic for the last 13 years. We are so impressed with the staff. Everyone there has treated our pets as if they are family. I couldn't be happier with the care and the prices are very reasonable. They are clean & organized & their staff is ALWAYS so friendly and understanding! They have been more then accommodating with scheduling and really go above and beyond to make your furbabies feel comfortable. They even do follow ups on your pet to make sure that all is well and to see if you have any questions! That is wonderful customer service! We love our clinic!

If you want to experience a GREAT place for your animal care, SVC is the best option. We always have many pets (cats and dogs), so finding a helpful and affordable clinic is important to us. Dr. Spanish, Dr. O'Brien, and their staff are our "go to" for all out pet needs . Here's just a small list of "excellent" qualities you will find here...very professional, easy to contact and make appointments, call backs from even the doctors are prompt, do their best to squeeze you in during special times, very compassionate and caring, extremely trustworthy and confident with care options, never do we feel over-charged or "sold" additional services, provide optional house calls if needed, and all very affordable...they really do care about you and your pets, it's like having a friend in the veterinary business!

Their prices are very affordable and they have never pushed us to make sales like other clinics have. We recommend SVC to 150% of people who ask.

Our little guy vince does not play well with others!!! he does bite ,after a horrible experience with a local vet office he ended up biting one of the techs he was then kicked out I didn't know what to do, I called Shakopee Veterinary office and told them the situation they got Vincent's records and looked them over , they made a appointment to see vince and they handled him great , vince is a rescue dog with issues he seizures once in awhile and he doesn't mean to bite others he is a sweet boy and we have been bringing him here for a couple years he has not biten any staff or the vet. We want to thank Shakopee veterinary office for giving vince a Chance also for being so patient with him , you all are awsome .thank you very much !!

We faced a horrible situation with our dog, as we had to find a new vet to put her down. (Normal vet was "too busy" to help us.) One call to Shakopee Vet Clinic and I knew that we were going to get the compassionate care that the situation required. Diane was my initial contact, and she was so sympathetic. When I called back to make the appointment, Abby was sweet and caring. On the dreaded day, Bethany was fantastic in handling the delicate situation with getting us a room quickly for us to say our last goodbyes. Dr. Spanish was calm and understanding when she came in to the room. Going to a new vet is hard enough under normal circumstances, and in ours was even tougher. The peace of mind Shakopee Vet Clinic gave my boyfriend and I was priceless. We know that when the time comes for our two cats currently at home and for any future pet we bring into our home, our one and only call will be to Shakopee Vet Clinic. Thank you all so much for your amazing care!

Hands down the best vet care! I have 5 pets and I have been to a couple different vets before stumbling across Shakopee Vet Clinc. I will now no longer bring my pets to any other vet! Even living 40 mins away. From regular yearly vet visits to emergency services I am never let down by the great team at S.V.C.!!! All the doctors are so kind, caring and compassionate and always follow up throughly. I can not say enough great things about this clinic. The front desk gals and assistants are just as great! Everyone here goes out of there way to know you are satisfied. Truly the best!

I've been here a few times with my cat that I adopted recently. I have always been able to get an appointment within a reasonable amount of time, and the staff are friendly. My cat has been having litterbox problems, and the veterinarian went out of her way to tell me to call her with any problems. She told me not to feel like I was "alone" in this, which I really appreciated, as my situation has been very frustrating and disheartening. She has always returned my calls in a timely manner, and I have never felt like I was being rushed through the phone calls. She has offered many suggestions (which don't involve me coming back to the vet, so she clearly isn't primarily concerned about selling me unnecessary services), and she is very sympathetic to my situation. It's comforting to know I have a great professional to give me advice when I need it.(Also they have a Keurig in the lobby which is great for early morning appointments!)

After I moved to Shakopee, I needed to find a new vet. I have a diabetic kitty named Rocky that was on 8 units of insulin with one brand. He was still not regulated after working with my previous vet for a few months. After switching him to a different insulin and a couple visits, he was regulated on 2 units and has been for over 10 months . Dr. O'brien is an absolute pleasure to work with and she makes me feel confident leaving my baby in their capable hands. Thank you to all of you who work there, it is obvious that you all have a passion for what you do and take pride in caring for our furry family members!

I really like the clinic, and the vet techs/vets are great. They don't pressure you or try to "up-sell," they just give you the facts and let you make the decisions. The quality of care is excellent, and it isn't outrageously priced (I wish that wasn't a factor, but it does help!)That said, the receptionist is horribly rude. Every time I have called she has snapped, interrupted me, spoken in clipped, half-sentences and been generally abrupt and harsh. Having to take your pet to the vet is stressful enough without someone sighing at you and cutting you off in the middle of a sentence to growl at you. I wish she would take the time to collect herself before answering the phone. I like the care enough that I'll give them another chance or two, but if I keep being treated like that on the phone, I can't say I won't start looking elsewhere.

Okay I'm not going to lie, the building this place is in leaves something to be desired. I often wish that they'd somehow put in at least some decor in the waiting room. It's just so... bleh. That along with the wait time, which we have experienced a handful of times, can be rough. These are the only two reasons I am not giving this place a five star rating.But these things aside - both veterinarians here are fantastic. They have both been thorough and answered any questions we have about our pup. Often times we'll call in "freak out" mode and these guys will reassure us, gladly. They are VERY thorough, to ensure your pet is getting the best care possible. I have a soft place for Dr. Spanish, but Dr. Kelso is also great!
