Everyone at St. Paul Pet Hospital has been wonderful. From admission to exam and surgery, they've been great.
They explain everything so the treatment is clear (along with the cost) and are constantly reaching out to check in and follow up after treatment. All the staff members have been great to work with and it's obvious they love that they do.
If you're looking for a veterinarian, St. Paul Pet Hospital is highly recommended. They'll take care of your pet like it's their own.

The doctors and vet techs are more than amazing! However, the admin staff does not have the same caring and professional work ethic.
I am very disappointed and heart broken by the customer service I have received. I tried calling several times over 4 months ago about an accounting issue. No one answer the phone, the voicemail message said they were closed (during business hours) and when I followed the prompts to leave a message, it said 'invalided option'. I honestly thought they closed down because I could not get a hold of anyone. I stopped calling and figured they would call me if there was a problem with my account. However, I never got a call. Months later, I received an email that it was time to schedule an appointment.
I called on Monday, someone actually picked up the phone on my 3rd call, and was told that they would leave a message for someone to call me back about my account. I received a call 3 days later and was told that my account was closed and sent to collections a couple months ago. I could not schedule an appointment because of the balance. She also would not let me clear up my account with her, said that I had to go through collection agency. I never received any bill from them or the collection agency. I do not know who I even need to contact to clear this up. I am very disappointing that no one could pick up the phone; when I called or to call me to let me know about my account before it went to collections.
The doctors and vet techs are the best I have ever come across and I would pay my balance two-fold just to be able to continue care with them. Unfortunately, their front desk and admin staff will ruin their reputation if this sort of treatment is normal procedure.

Amazing service. I called Thursday trying to schedule an appointment for Friday and unfortunately they didn’t have any openings. The receptionist informed me they had block periods and I can call the next day to get my dog in. Within 5 mins of hanging up she called me back to let me know they had openings Friday and could get us in. I was extremely grateful that the receptionist took the time to call me back and schedule an appointment right away. I was really impressed with her customer service. They did a great job with following up on how Achilles was doing and were really fast at getting his test results back. I loved how personal they were . I think we found the perfect clinic to keep taking our dog to. Great job!

My wife and I have been taking our puppy to the pet hospital for the past 7 months, ever since we got him. The pet hospital is a very warm and welcoming environment, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. My wife and I have really enjoyed taking our puppy to the pet hospital, and wouldn't take him anywhere else. We highly recommend this pet hospital to anyone in the Twin Cities area.

We've been customers of SPPH for almost two years. From the quality of care to stellar professionalism across the board, I'm so impressed. I don't know how there is a group of people that are individually and collectively: 1. Animal lovers 2. Great communicators 3. Veritable customer service pros. Dr. Melinda helped us choose their wellness plan for the first year of our dog's life, patiently reviewing typical costs with me and admitting that after a spay it may not be worth continuing the wellness plan. That's just one example of their honesty and transparency. The vet techs are among the most friendly, professional, on-top-of-it 20somethings I've ever met!There aren't many places we'll come back to when we move over to Minneapolis from SPPH's Cathedral Hill neighborhood, but this is definitely top of list!

I got my teddy bear puppy, Jax, on Sunday, SPPH on Thursday.... and what a great choice! First.. it's just down the street, so we get exercise going to the vet. Second: I walked in to the cutest, most comfy environment for me and my boy. Third: AJ ... I kinda just want to go have a drink with her! She took great care of Jax during his microchip, answered all my q's, comforted him when he was squirmy, and was just nice to chat with! Last: Dr Eric. He gave lots of info about how doggy meds had changed since my last dog, answered potty training and underbite q's,and had good advice for puppy training!It's just nice to be so close to a great clinic!! One month follow up should be just as successful!

I really appreciate the care the staff and doctors take in my furry children. They understand that pets are family. Plus, their facility is always clean which really helps my peace of mind. St. Paul Pet Hospital may be a little more expensive then an average clinic, but I completely trust them and that is worth every extra penny when it comes to my furry children.

The vets, techs and staff at St Paul Pet are such a great fit for my dog family. Dr. Eric is always engaged with my dogs when we come in and will offer a range of options for in treatments. Recently he and Melinda treated one of my dogs for an emergency partial tail amputation and really worked with how I wanted to approach the injury, while keeping my dog's well-being top priority.

After a less than ideal experience with our former vet, we were in the market for a place to take our pups. Not only was SPPH conveniently located, they whole staff there is wonderful. They went above and beyond with our old dog during his last few months. He was always relaxed there and they were so good with him as he aged. And when the day came, they really did make it as smooth and comforting as possible. And now, they are equally as great with our younger dog. She is a handful (read: crazy) and they are so good with her. I would, and do, recommend Dr. Eric and everyone to all pet owners I meet.

We were the previous owners of the 8 puppies And all they told my mother was to leave them at the hospital or else if she took them home they would all die instead of giving her other options like paying for some of their treatments or going through a bank of a credit card to pay it off instead of helping us out giving us other organizations that could help us out with the treatments for parvo that we later on found out and the fact they said we abandoned them is defiantly not what happened they should of told the whole story as it is and not say we abandoned them this was our first litter ever and then all of a sudden one of the pups had parvo and we had no idea of what parvo was all the other pups we had in the past were never exposed to this disease ever in the past. They tired blaming us for being irrasponsible when they were they ones telling us to wait till they had 8 weeks for shots. This is the worst vet clinic ever. They could of helped us out way more than just to leave them. We would have never turned them in if we would have known more about those other options that we had known about later on .

I came here with my free Pet Exam and the vibe of this place was AMAZING! It is in the most darling neighborhood, and the building is beautiful. Jennifer, the vet tech, was so awesome. She answered all of my questions honestly and cared for my kitten. I could have sat and talked about cats with her all day! Dr. Eric was just as awesome - I loved his clear answers and could feel how much he genuinely cares about his clinic and the animals he serves. He was rooted in research and science, which I really appreciated. I will make this my permanent clinic for my two cats. Amazing place!

Very expensive, I will not be returning. I went for a routine nail trim. My dog is a drama queen, but most places have said he's just noisy. They recommended I get a sedative called Ace for him, so I scraped together $20 for that. Then when we arrived, they insisted he be sedated even more. They did not tell me that I would have to be paying for that as well. After the nail trim they gave me the bill of $80! I had to use a credit card to pay this huge bill. Then for the rest of the day my poor dog was drugged and whined and whined. He was so sad and upset from the trauma of being sedated. Usually after a nail trim, he gets over the ordeal once he's outside. But in this instance he was traumatized beyond belief. So, what should have been an appointment paid for with my wellness plan turned out to be a $100 ordeal.

If you need a veterinarian in Saint Paul I would highly recommend St. Paul Pet Hospital! The staff is super nice and answered all of my millions of new dog mom questions! After I adopted my German Shepherd from the Humane Society I called about a dozen hospitals and clinics to find a veterinarian I felt comfortable bringing her to. All the other facilities didn't even ask me about my new dog or about myself. They just answered my basic list of questions and didn't even offer to set me up with an appointment or even for me to stop by to check them out. During the visit the Vet Tech went through the cost and options for all the vaccines, boosters, heart worm, micro chipping, etc. She even gave me the estimated cost for the entire year for everything I wanted so I would know what to expect. Ben, Maegan and Dr. Eric are amazing! Sophia and I will definitely be back!

The vet techs are among the most friendly, professional, on-top-of-it 20somethings I've ever met!There aren't many places we'll come back to when we move over to Minneapolis from SPPH's Cathedral Hill neighborhood, but this is definitely top of list!

I got my teddy bear puppy, Jax, on Sunday, SPPH on Thursday.... and what a great choice! First.. it's just down the street, so we get exercise going to the vet. Second: I walked in to the cutest, most comfy environment for me and my boy. Third: AJ ... I kinda just want to go have a drink with her! She took great care of Jax during his microchip, answered all my q's, comforted him when he was squirmy, and was just nice to chat with! Last: Dr Eric. He gave lots of info about how doggy meds had changed since my last dog, answered potty training and underbite q's,and had good advice for puppy training!It's just nice to be so close to a great clinic!! One month follow up should be just as successful!

Doesn't look or feel like your normal vet office. They reassured me that my cat would be in good hands and there was no fuss! Also, they have free caribou k-cups with a keurig in the lobby.

I really appreciate the care the staff and doctors take in my furry children. They understand that pets are family. Plus, their facility is always clean which really helps my peace of mind. St. Paul Pet Hospital may be a little more expensive then an average clinic, but I completely trust them and that is worth every extra penny when it comes to my furry children.

St. Paul Pet Hospital is wonderful. My cat has asthma and we go to the vet somewhat frequently. Dr. Melinda is always happy to answer all my questions and truly cares about the animals she treats. The rest of the staff is very friendly and makes sure my concerns are heard over the phone or in-person. I highly recommend taking your pet to St. Paul Pet Hospital!

They are wonderful. Each staff member and doctor provides exceptional care. I've reused them with the care of my first baby, a Yorkie for nearly two years. Really enjoy coming to St. Paul Pet Hospital as even though it is further away to come here it is worth it. Always friendly service, and I know that my kitten is getting great care every time I bring him there. Also, I love how transparent they are about costs as their wellness plans are perfect! Definitely come here if you have not found a vet that you like. :-)

The vets, techs and staff at St Paul Pet are such a great fit for my dog family. Dr. Eric is always engaged with my dogs when we come in and will offer a range of options for in treatments. Recently he and Melinda treated one of my dogs for an emergency partial tail amputation and really worked with how I wanted to approach the injury, while keeping my dog's well-being top priority.

After a less than ideal experience with our former vet, we were in the market for a place to take our pups. Not only was SPPH conveniently located, they whole staff there is wonderful. They went above and beyond with our old dog during his last few months. He was always relaxed there and they were so good with him as he aged. And when the day came, they really did make it as smooth and comforting as possible. And now, they are equally as great with our younger dog. She is a handful (read: crazy) and they are so good with her. I would, and do, recommend Dr. Eric and everyone to all pet owners I meet.

We were the previous owners of the 8 puppies And all they told my mother was to leave them at the hospital or else if she took them home they would all die instead of giving her other options like paying for some of their treatments or going through a bank of a credit card to pay it off instead of helping us out giving us other organizations that could help us out with the treatments for parvo that we later on found out and the fact they said we abandoned them is defiantly not what happened they should of told the whole story as it is and not say we abandoned them this was our first litter ever and then all of a sudden one of the pups had parvo and we had no idea of what parvo was all the other pups we had in the past were never exposed to this disease ever in the past. They tired blaming us for being irrasponsible when they were they ones telling us to wait till they had 8 weeks for shots. This is the worst vet clinic ever. They could of helped us out way more than just to leave them. We would have never turned them in if we would have known more about those other options that we had known about later on .

I came here with my free Pet Exam and the vibe of this place was AMAZING! It is in the most darling neighborhood, and the building is beautiful. Jennifer, the vet tech, was so awesome. She answered all of my questions honestly and cared for my kitten. I could have sat and talked about cats with her all day! Dr. Eric was just as awesome - I loved his clear answers and could feel how much he genuinely cares about his clinic and the animals he serves. He was rooted in research and science, which I really appreciated. I will make this my permanent clinic for my two cats. Amazing place!

Very expensive, I will not be returning. I went for a routine nail trim. My dog is a drama queen, but most places have said he's just noisy. They recommended I get a sedative called Ace for him, so I scraped together $20 for that. Then when we arrived, they insisted he be sedated even more. They did not tell me that I would have to be paying for that as well. After the nail trim they gave me the bill of $80! I had to use a credit card to pay this huge bill. Then for the rest of the day my poor dog was drugged and whined and whined. He was so sad and upset from the trauma of being sedated. Usually after a nail trim, he gets over the ordeal once he's outside. But in this instance he was traumatized beyond belief. So, what should have been an appointment paid for with my wellness plan turned out to be a $100 ordeal.

If you need a veterinarian in Saint Paul I would highly recommend St. Paul Pet Hospital! The staff is super nice and answered all of my millions of new dog mom questions! After I adopted my German Shepherd from the Humane Society I called about a dozen hospitals and clinics to find a veterinarian I felt comfortable bringing her to. All the other facilities didn't even ask me about my new dog or about myself. They just answered my basic list of questions and didn't even offer to set me up with an appointment or even for me to stop by to check them out. During the visit the Vet Tech went through the cost and options for all the vaccines, boosters, heart worm, micro chipping, etc. She even gave me the estimated cost for the entire year for everything I wanted so I would know what to expect. Ben, Maegan and Dr. Eric are amazing! Sophia and I will definitely be back!
