Absolutely the worst experience. No customer service whatsoever. Pets are treated as poorly as their customers; awful. If you're looking for a great vet go to Forest Lake Veterinary.

We purchased a wellness plan for our pet. $400 later we go to get the teeth cleaning. After doing the bloodwork THAT'S INCLUDED they determined he was too high risk. We understand we won't be getting the 'free' teeth cleaning. BUT since they didn't complete that portion they now say we have to pay $120 for the blood work they did!!! Clearly they don't understand simple logic! If anything we should be getting money for saving them doctor/operating room/material costs to not do the procedure! Read Less

My first experience there was with Doctor Sarah Pierce. SHE IS AMAZING!!! She was so good and loving to my baby Yorkie of 6 months. We saw her twice and both times she checked my dog up and down and everywhere making sure that everything is good. :) My 3rd time I was there I believe I saw Doctor Q or something like it and she was at the receptionist desk talking to the girls and I waited for about 20 min. I didn't know she was going to be the vet that day. My baby Yorkie barely got checked. Customer service and being caring are very important. If it wasn't for Dr, PIERCE I would probably never go back. Sarah their receptionist is such a helpful and wonderful person as well!!! Read Less

Not impressed at all. After my dog was spayed, the vet literally didn't say one word to me when I went to pick her up. She saw me standing in the waiting area and walked into another room to see a patient (dog) and didn't wave, smile, nod nothing. The front desk staff discussed the surgery, prescribed meds, and gave the discharged orders. I saw the vet 2-3 times while I waited for my puppy and she didn't have the decency to simply say hello or give me 60 seconds of her time to say the surgery went well. During my first visit, I heard the vet tell a staff member that my 16 week old pup (at the time of the first visit) was crazy. I also had to clean the examination room we were in as it had dog hair on the table with clumps of hair on the floor. Clearly a sign that room was not cleaned after the last dog left. I saw some cleaning wipes in the room and cleaned the table and floor myself. So needless to say that first visit didn't sit well with me. I attempted to give the vet and this clinic another try as I wanted to be sure I was being reasonable and flexible. Not to mention, the vet is fairly young so I figured perhaps she was unaware she shouldn't talk about her patients in public. That perhaps she's not aware that she shouldn't have negative thoughts about her patients as it may conflict the the quality of care they should receive from her. I figured I had nothing to lose by giving her another shot because maybe she was having a bad day.....right. Well, after the lack of bedside manners she displayed after my dog's surgery, I decided my dog deserved better care from a vet who genuinely cares about her well being. Read Less

I was just at the Woodbury clinic and i will never take our puppy there again. We are on the puppy plan but will go back to Eagans location where their customer service is excellent. First off we were a little behind getting there bc i was feeding my infant and explained that when i called and told them i was pulling into tamarak as we were speaking and she replied rudely to get there as soon as possible. Appointment was at 11 we arrived at 1105. The ladies at the counter were beyond rude didnt even greet us just bossed my teenager rudely to put our puppy on the scale and when she moved the lady got annoyed with my son but she wasn't givinf clear directions to begin with.. then we sat down and listenedto them unprofessionally complain about customers name dropping and descriptions of the pets issues and every which was appauling.. we waited a good 10 min before being called back. Now the vet and the lady working with the vet were awesome but the receptionist ladies are.def the reason we wont be back to the woodbury location again. I certainly dont want to be the next customer they talk smack about in front of others or give way personal info haha. Just really shocked at how rude those ladies are.. wish they had friendlier front staff. Read Less

We have been Banfield clients for 9 years now.  We have used two locations - the Banfield in Merriam, KS and the Banfield in Woodbury, MN.  Our experiences with both have been wonderful.  We currently use the Woodbury location, and had no trouble transferring records from Kansas. We participate in the Wellness plans and feel that our dogs are better off because of it and have never felt pressure to have unnecessary procedures done on our girls.  The procedures that have been presented to us were given with an understanding of what information they hoped to gain from them.  In one instance it helped detect a cancerous tumor on our dog's foot early enough to get it completely removed with out reoccurrence.  We recently had an after hours emergency and decided to use emergency clinic near our house (we no longer live in Woodbury, but have stayed with them anyway for routine/annual visits).  Unfortunately, it was our senior dog's time and we had to make the difficult decision to put her down.  The emergency clinic staff must have notified Banfield and within days we received a empathy card in the mail from our clinic signed by all the staff.  It was so thoughtful.  I also just got off the phone with customer service for the Wellness Plan to discontinue the plan for the dog we had to put down and it was already taken care of.  Banfield has made a difficult time a bit easier. I have had the Wellness plan for two cats and a Doberman. Over 20 plus years worth of service. My pets receive 6 month checkups and all shot at no cost on the plan. Office visits are free and a discount on other services. They remind me every six months that it is time for the comprehesive exam. My cat lived to be 19 years old. My Doberman was 9 years old when our new landlord told us we could not keep her on his property (but that's another story) Doberman Rescue Alliance of WI took her to be adopted to a new family. They were amazed at how healthy and active she was. She is now in her new home and is 12 years old. My current cat just turned 15 years old and is very healthy. Banfield is a good place to bring your pets for care. The wellness plan has three levels and a monthly payment (NO deductable). When we got the pets we had the highest level for the first year, because they needed to be neutered or spayed. We were allowed to lower the coverage during the young healthy years and when a pet unexpectedly needed surgery the staff allowed us to increase our coverage to receive the increased discount. Banfield has not been perfect, a few times I was not happy, but they have done a great job keeping my pets healthy and to me that is what counts. Banfield has been good for my pets and I would recommend them to a friend. Read Less
