I applied for a job here, but when I toured the facility, it was very clean! Sweet people, sweet creatures. It had a very "homey" feel to it, and I definitely would take my pets! ViP sections, runs for the dogs, and plenty of clean and sanitize kennel spacing. There was a very open floor plan and quaint and sanitized surgery room. Oakdale was by far one of the best facilities I have seen.

I would give a zero if I could. We took our dog into the vet for his first check up with them so that we could get trifexis with them since we had just moved. It is not unusual for the vet to want to know the dog before allowing you to get medicine through their office. Short story sweet; an hour and $490 later; my dog is in a haze from being drugged (without my explicit permission or any talk of price), and no longer trust people because before they drugged him two "aides" wrestled him to the ground and used their body weight to hold him down. This caused him to spray from fear out of his butt. We had been taking him to another vet before hay and he had never had any issues there. There were no wrestling bouts or drugs needed to just examine him. Dr. Sullivan said that he would never see him again if he were not drugged. Yea, after giving him a fight for his life I wouldn't trust him either the next time. Avoid at all costs. I'm sure there are better veterinarians out there capable of actually developing relationships with animals instead of brute force.

one of our cats, spook, had had several urinary blockages (blocked cat) before we visited in June. we had attempted to treat them with conventional therapy (ammonium chloride) as in the past. his condition worsened, and we needed immediate help/intervention. we had never been to Oakdale before- called and explained situation, staff told us to "head this way", which was Saturday (we live in Grenada) He was admitted on what was not a normal business day. Dr Gray was candid about condition and prognosis. our friend was saved from expert medical care and intervention.we eventually had to have a perineal urethrostomy performed (at Oakdale). was surprised that they have a full service laboratory ( I am a medical technologist myself) all staff were knowledgeable, courteous and went above and beyond our expectations. all facets of there service receive 5+ out of five stares. would recommend services to anyone.

I took my dog to the vet this morning and as I got out of my car I heard a dog barking and realized the dog was in the next car without the car running or the windows cracked it was 82 outside which means it was 92 in the car.I went inside and said who owns the white car - a woman at the counter said "I do" I said your dog is in the hot car without the windows cracked. She said "he"s fine". I said, "you need to go crack the window". She said, "I take care of my animals". I then said "you are not taking care of them now and you are also breaking the law".I called my sister and she advised me to take a picture of the license plate and call the police. As I was walking outside the awful dog owner screamed at me saying I was crazy. Then one of the vet employees followed me outside and yelled at me to stop harassing their customers! I asked to speak to Dr Sullivan. He told me I was very astute but that I had embarrassed and humiliated their customer and if I could please agree that if I saw another customer breaking the law I would wait quietly in the parking lot to point out their errors!Shocked, I asked him if he would wait quietly in the parking lot if he saw a baby in a hot car with the windows rolled up. He admitted he would react the same way I did if it were a child, but that he values people a little more than animals! I demanded an apology from Katie. After waiting 20 more minutes for my apology, Katie and the office manager came in the room. Katie continued to justify her actions of yelling at me and said their client did not leave the dog in the hot car "that long". I explained to her that the law clearly states NOT AT ALL! As she angrily left the room, she said either "you are crazy or this is crazy" I couldn't clearly hear the first part. The office manager did not even reprimand her for speaking to a customer this way!I will be looking for a new vet I am still in shock that the vet and the employees were not concerned and were angry with me that I was trying to make sure the animal in the hot car was ok.As a side note, I feel Dr. Grey is a good vet and has always done a great job with my dogs. However, I cannot support a vet who allows their employee to yell at me for pointing out someone who is breaking a law and who admits to me he would react differently if it were a child in a hot car rather than a dog. Not the kind of doctor I want to entrust my fur babies with. :(

Filed out all my paperwork and even tho I told them how sick he was they still let him lay there struggling to breath for 45 minutes while taking other fur babies back for check ups I informed them yet again how SICK he was the worker behind the counter informed me they had to work him n. So I left to find another dr and my sweet baby passed away n the back seat of my car on the way . I know he was really sick and maybe they couldn't have saved him but at least I could have been holding him when he crossed the Rainbow Bridge instead of n the back seat of my car!!!!

I have never been so impressed with an overall experience of a veterinarian clinic as I have at Oakdale. Our aging cat had a major episode a few weeks ago, and the staff treated us and her with first-class care. Dr. Sullivan and Dr. Zieren directly helped our cat back to health and were willing to tell us point-blank what the problems may be and the results. The entire staff is friendly and supportive and share the mission of the hospital. We look forward to many years with this clinic!

I am so impressed with Oakdale's performance with my little companion, Harvey. Harvey had been feeling sick over the weekend, and my regular visit veterinary clinic had a full schedule and was unable to fit him in - Oakdale was extremely accommodating and told me to bring him in as soon as I could. They made sure he was cared for properly and allowed me to calm down by answering every question I asked. (Dr. Sullivan is the veterinarian that worked with us). They are super sweet and truly do treat your pet as their own! Safe to say I have a new veterinarian/clinic!

I would give a zero if I could. We took our dog into the vet for his first check up with them so that we could get trifexis with them since we had just moved. It is not unusual for the vet to want to know the dog before allowing you to get medicine through their office. Short story sweet; an hour and $490 later; my dog is in a haze from being drugged (without my explicit permission or any talk of price), and no longer trust people because before they drugged him two "aides" wrestled him to the ground and used their body weight to hold him down. This caused him to spray from fear out of his butt. We had been taking him to another vet before hay and he had never had any issues there. There were no wrestling bouts or drugs needed to just examine him. Dr. Sullivan said that he would never see him again if he were not drugged. Yea, after giving him a fight for his life I wouldn't trust him either the next time. Avoid at all costs. I'm sure there are better veterinarians out there capable of actually developing relationships with animals instead of brute force.

one of our cats, spook, had had several urinary blockages (blocked cat) before we visited in June. we had attempted to treat them with conventional therapy (ammonium chloride) as in the past. his condition worsened, and we needed immediate help/intervention. we had never been to Oakdale before- called and explained situation, staff told us to "head this way", which was Saturday (we live in Grenada) He was admitted on what was not a normal business day. Dr Gray was candid about condition and prognosis. our friend was saved from expert medical care and intervention.we eventually had to have a perineal urethrostomy performed (at Oakdale). was surprised that they have a full service laboratory ( I am a medical technologist myself) all staff were knowledgeable, courteous and went above and beyond our expectations. all facets of there service receive 5+ out of five stares. would recommend services to anyone.

I took my dog to the vet this morning and as I got out of my car I heard a dog barking and realized the dog was in the next car without the car running or the windows cracked it was 82 outside which means it was 92 in the car.I went inside and said who owns the white car - a woman at the counter said "I do" I said your dog is in the hot car without the windows cracked. She said "he"s fine". I said, "you need to go crack the window". She said, "I take care of my animals". I then said "you are not taking care of them now and you are also breaking the law".I called my sister and she advised me to take a picture of the license plate and call the police. As I was walking outside the awful dog owner screamed at me saying I was crazy. Then one of the vet employees followed me outside and yelled at me to stop harassing their customers! I asked to speak to Dr Sullivan. He told me I was very astute but that I had embarrassed and humiliated their customer and if I could please agree that if I saw another customer breaking the law I would wait quietly in the parking lot to point out their errors!Shocked, I asked him if he would wait quietly in the parking lot if he saw a baby in a hot car with the windows rolled up. He admitted he would react the same way I did if it were a child, but that he values people a little more than animals! I demanded an apology from Katie. After waiting 20 more minutes for my apology, Katie and the office manager came in the room. Katie continued to justify her actions of yelling at me and said their client did not leave the dog in the hot car "that long". I explained to her that the law clearly states NOT AT ALL! As she angrily left the room, she said either "you are crazy or this is crazy" I couldn't clearly hear the first part. The office manager did not even reprimand her for speaking to a customer this way!I will be looking for a new vet I am still in shock that the vet and the employees were not concerned and were angry with me that I was trying to make sure the animal in the hot car was ok.As a side note, I feel Dr. Grey is a good vet and has always done a great job with my dogs. However, I cannot support a vet who allows their employee to yell at me for pointing out someone who is breaking a law and who admits to me he would react differently if it were a child in a hot car rather than a dog. Not the kind of doctor I want to entrust my fur babies with. :(

Today was our first trip and it was a better experience than our last vet in Brandon. The tech was gentle with our pet and the vet seemed thorough and knowledgable. Prices were reasonable.

We moved to the area in May and one of our dear boxers had a sudden onset of degenerative neuropathy. Dr. Sullivan exhausted all efforts to hopefully help us find a way to make him more comfortable and extend his time with us. I took my very sick fur baby there this morning. Filed out all my paperwork and even tho I told them how sick he was they still let him lay there struggling to breath for 45 minutes while taking other fur babies back for check ups I informed them yet again how SICK he was the worker behind the counter informed me they had to work him n. So I left to find another dr and my sweet baby passed away n the back seat of my car on the way . I know he was really sick and maybe they couldn't have saved him but at least I could have been holding him when he crossed the Rainbow Bridge instead of n the back seat of my car!!!!

I have never been so impressed with an overall experience of a veterinarian clinic as I have at Oakdale. Our aging cat had a major episode a few weeks ago, and the staff treated us and her with first-class care. Dr. Sullivan and Dr. Zieren directly helped our cat back to health and were willing to tell us point-blank what the problems may be and the results. The entire staff is friendly and supportive and share the mission of the hospital. We look forward to many years with this clinic!

I am so impressed with Oakdale's performance with my little companion, Harvey. Harvey had been feeling sick over the weekend, and my regular visit veterinary clinic had a full schedule and was unable to fit him in - Oakdale was extremely accommodating and told me to bring him in as soon as I could. They made sure he was cared for properly and allowed me to calm down by answering every question I asked. (Dr. Sullivan is the veterinarian that worked with us). They are super sweet and truly do treat your pet as their own! Safe to say I have a new veterinarian/clinic!

We've been taking our two cats to Oakdale for a year. The time and attention we get from everyone at Oakdale is more than we could ask. Dr. Sullivan always takes the time to answer all of our questions, and usually answers them before we even think of them. I love that they are reachable via e-mail! Everyone is extremely friendly and professional, and the facilities are clean and attractive.
