Cats were evaluated on metal table. No towel or blanket to make them feel more secure. Not a good experience for my cats.

We chose Fork Union when we moved to Palmyra to care for our three dogs. This past Saturday at 11:45 a.m. I made a desperate phone call to them stating that my dog needed to be put down right away. She was in severe respiratory distress and suffering and the response I got from the vet there was I'm sorry sir we close at 12 o'clock. And what time could I have been there with my dog 1205 p.m. but again they run a business they look at the bottom line the compassion I receive when asking to put my dog down was disgusting. So needless to say we had to sit and watch our dog suffer and die on the floor of our bedroom. I hope that no one ever has to experience watching their beloved pet gasping to breathe and die in your arms because I could not get there until 5 minutes after they closed. Please do not let these people do this to you! Find someone that truly cares about animals and not the bottom line of a spreadsheet. Never in my life have I ever experienced anything as horrific and heartbreaking to watch my dog died suffering horribly while a veterinarian 20 minutes from my home refused to allow me to bring my sweet girl in to be put down. You all disgust me.Read Less

You make people have no other option but to have their pets unnecessary euthanized, you greedy mongers take all pleasure out of having and loving our pets not everyone has tons of money for you to look at the pets much less help them without gouging our pockets, I found out,14 years ago I would find other alternative's for my loved ones, I try to warn everyone about fork union vets!! The folks at Fork Union Animal Clinic are truly amazing. Dr. Kendra Philman has been working with my Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Cochise, for a few years now trying to minimize his pain (arthritis) He turned 13 on June 24 & still has a spark when he sees a squirrel & can actually chase the darn thing now some because of the pain management suggested by Dr. Kendra. Without her, Cochise would not be enjoying his senior years as much. Thank you Dr. Kendra and all the staff at Fork Union Animal Clinic! You're the best! Read Less

The staff shows caring not only for the animals, but also for their owners by inquiring about the pet or remembering a small detail that is dear to the owner. The care my pets receive is comprehensive and thorough. I like receiving reminders for my pets' appointments. I am given several options for care if possible, not just the most expensive. When I had to euthanize two pets the vets showed so much caring and concern. I really appreciated the sympathy card I received from the staff. I have been bringing my pet to Fork Union for years and will continue to do so in the future. I highly recommend Fork Union every opportunity I have to do so. Thank you for being such a caring clinic! Read Less
