I finally found a great place to take my animals that is close to my house. I called to make an appointment and was immediately impressed with Kim the tech. I took my two senior dogs for their checkups last week and Dr. Kennedy impressed me as well. He is extremely smart and noticed that Wally had some loose teeth that the other vets had not said anything about. We had his teeth cleaned before but his breath still smelled awful. So, today I took him in for a dental cleaning and tooth extraction. I am so happy because his breath no longer smells at all and he uncovered some serious problems that resulted in multiple extractions. Wally is doing great because Dr. Kennedy gave him a 24 hour pain shot and several days worth of anti inflammatory meds. Also, antibiotics before and after. Kim is so funny and personable. My kitten, Simba, was having a difficult time breathing and upon examination Dr. Kennedy found a mass in the back of his throat. We ran labwork and a FELV/FIV test to make sure this wasn't due to an underlying problem. He got Simba in for surgery the next day, he advised me that once he got in there that it could be worse than it looks and advised me that he would do everything he could for him. His staff was very caring and sweet and comforted me before I left him in their care. They called me in a very timely manner after surgery to let me know Simba did great and they were able to remove the mass without any complications and with some antibiotics and soft food he should recover very nicely. I went to pick Simba up after surgery and he looked wonderful. They talked to me in detail about post op care and sent home a detailed sheet with answers to most commonly asked questions. The girls at the front desk called and checked on Simba several times after his surgery. Dr. Kennedy and his staff are just the best and I will continue to take Simba and all my other pets to them. I had a sick stray cat with a severe wound, called to find out what the cost to put her to sleep and was told 3 times "little to nothing" "since you were helping a stray". He wasnt in and she said to bring her and drop her off. Long story short the charges little to nothing are $177. They gave me the burial free (?). I told her to cancel my account, I wont be back. Their little to nothing is too hefty for me...All Creatures came to my house in Canton and put a dear dog of mine to sleep a few years ago and charged me $100 and I was grateful. I called for a quote on a declaw of a cat. Was quoted $131.00 I get there the next day with my baby in tow and the girl greets me with I'm sorry I gave you the wrong quote. Understandable everyone can make mistakes, but they had my phone number and didn't bother to call to tell me that the price was different by $300. So not only did I put my cat through the stress of getting there but I was late for work for nothing more than wasted time. Will not be taking my baby there for anything.Read Less

I've been very impressed with Dr. Kennedy and the staff at Madison Veterinary Clinic since they opened. I can tell they care about my cats and I never feel like they're just "in it for the money". I will definitely continue to trust them with my cats. Read Less
