I was bitten by their monkey. Come to find out they refuse to let it go to any primate sanctuary, and have been refusing for years, guessing he makes a nice attraction. He has no human contact, and will probably die alone in that little kennel, suffering from mental disorders brought on by such confinement. First off, the decor is amazing! Silly thing to comment on, but this place LOOKS awesome. Their staff is absolutely incredible. Never have I felt so welcome and my kitty was so very taken care of. The vet tech, Casey, was super awesome and Dr. Allen was phenomenal. If you need veterinary care, this is the place to go. And they weren't too expensive either. Went in there about 7 months ago for a C-section, about 2 days after my female had her pups I noticed pus coming out of her while I was cleaning the wound, and I also noticed that there was part of the wound that didn't have any stitches on so I had to take her back and get treated and also get some antibiotics. Today (3/20/2017) like a dummy I go in for a progesterone test on the same female and after they brought her back from pulling the blood I immediately notice how agitated she was, red watery eyes and her mouth super red and she kept on licking her top lip like it was burning. After I notice all of these I asked to talk to the lady that pull the blood and when they went in and call her they told me she was busy doing surgery (which sounded like complete bull crap to me). One of the other vets was telling me she had been there when the blood was pulled and all they did was hold her by the neck, which is a complete lie because holding a dog by the neck wouldn't make their lips red, I guess they think they're dealing with an uneducated breeder. All they had to do was explain to me that they did use a little bit of force or something else to draw the blood, I understand that dogs sometimes don't like to help, I keep asking myself if the fact that she is an American Bully might have been the reason why they put something around her mouth to prevent them from getting bit and if that's the case then they're very ignorant. They acted very unprofessional when I told them I didn't want the results and to take the charges off of my card, all they said was OK with a smile instead of trying to offer better customer service or an explanation. Every time I go in there I spend a pretty good amount of money but I guess my business is not welcomed or appreciated but that's ok because I would never come back to a place where they have to use violence or mistreat animals in order to provide a service. I've seen vets use all type of methods from giving treats to holding them tight just to get a little bit of blood from a dog but the vets at cat&cow are completely clueless on how to do something like that. My dog recently spent 8 days there hospitalized from ingesting a foreign body. We saw Dr. Joe initially, and then Dr. Christy took over her case. They are both very compassionate vets. Dr. Christy saved my dog's life. She and all the techs took great care of my dog while I was there. The girls at the front were always willing to help when I called to check on her. I won't take my animals anywhere else. I saw someone mention that wait times can be very long. This can be true at times because they are a very popular vet in the area, and they do not rush through their appointments. They are all very willing to answer any questions. Personally, I'd rather wait a bit longer than be rushed through an appointment. Read Less

Staff was extremely caring towards my older dogs. Due to moving around the country the last several years, we have had the boys at several vets. Cat and Cow was the best experience I've had when taking the boys for a check up. My older dog tends to be a bit grumpy when poke and prodded. I have a little miniature pincher. And I have used cat & cow clinic for the last nearly 3 years. The doctors and staff are all very caring and knowledgeable. You can tell by the atmosphere when you walk in the door how wonderful this clinic is. My mother and I moved from southeast Texas almost three years ago, and we have been bringing our Penni Sue to Cat & Cow ever since. My aunt has been using Cat & Cow for years and she is who told us where to bring Penni Sue. And I am so happy that we did. They spend as much time as needed with us. We've used Cat & Cow since our Weimaraner was a pup. They are always friendly and can usually work us in if needed. Many times we forget to schedule appointments due to our work schedules, but never have a problem getting either of our dogs in and out. From emergency visits to annual visits they are always quick and thorough; it is also known that they genuinely care about each and every animal that steps paws into the door. If you have questions, just ask and if you forget just give them a call! They also got our approval for the adoption of our second dog completed as soon as I gave the shelter their number. My sister uses this clinic for all of her animals and I have had the privilege to accompany her on her visits. Each time everyone has been very kind and professional towards my sister, myself, and the animals. They have gotten us in as quickly as possible, have been extremely gentle with the animals, very informative with us, have always figured out the problem and have been extremely reasonable on prices. The staff here cares for their customer's and the pets they see, and are more concerned with the animals' wellbeing than monetary gain. I took my dog to Cat and Cow after suspecting my dog had been misdiagnosed and given unnecessary medications. The last vet I took her to had her on 3 medications she did not even need and was treating her for mange which she did not have. She had a skin infection. I walked out of the last vet I took her to with a $400 bill. Lewis and Dr. Allen were WONDERFUL!! He spent as much time with us as we needed even though they were very busy and he answered all our questions very thoroughly. Without a doubt, these people take all the worry and stress out of getting your pets looked at and/or boarded. My husband and I were behind on shots and needed to get our dogs boarded on short notice so we could check on places to move---Cat and Cow was SO accommodating and kind! They answered all of our questions, offered to let us take a look around before we made an appointment, and were polite and friendly through the whole experience! Even when a customer came in with a bad attitude, they were polite and friendly and treated her pet just as wonderfully as if she'd paid a lot of money to be there.That's another good thing about Cat and Cow---cost. These folks are easily the cheapest, yet best quality, that we've seen thus far! Their costs are VERY reasonable, they even include a bath for boarded pets, and staff are completely unfazed by big dogs!I ADORE this place, and their farm! This is the best vet clinic I have been to.  I live in Midtown, so the drive can take a toll, but the price and care is worth it.  The cost for both my dog and cat to receive ALL of their shots is less than $120- one bill.  To further emphasize this, I ask for them to give my pets every shot they require for the year with no picking and choosing.  In addition, because the drive can be a hassle, I ordered my dog's flea medication from 1-800-PETMEDS this year; instead, the office staff called me to explain that Dr. Allen would match their price.  Looks like I'm driving to the OB!This clinic is wonderful with my animals and my schedule, taking all walk-ins, even on a Saturday.  I have been going to them for three years and wouldn't think of going anywhere else, despite how much closer four vet clinics are within a mile radius to my house.  The staff is always friendly and helpful, including the sleeping kittie on the counter who helps you check out. I have been using Cat and Cow as my vet for years. I went last week and immediately noticed the improved outside appearance. The inside was also cleaner and service was faster. I found out that Dr. Ann had sold the clinic to the Drs. Allen (husband and wife vets). I was initially worried the quality care I had received in the past may become an issue, but my fears were put to rest when Dr. Allen(male) came in friendly and treated my baby like I do. I have only been going to see Dr. Ann and Dr. Joe for about 3 years now and I absolutely LOVE them!!! I lost my best friend last September and they were absolutely wonderful and caring. Dr. John Loftin is now working there and he is one of the best vets in the south if not the country. He genuinely cares for your pet and has a terrific bedside manner. He has been our vet for over 40 years. He even treated our horses back when he was still doing a large animal practice too. We had one dog neutered, no complications, no complaints. After our adopted shelter puppy became ill, we took him to a vet in another town, paid a lot of $$ and he was worse. We immediately took him to Cat & Cow, and even though he had to stay overnight for several days, he is much, much, improved and after five days of overnight care, meds, food, etc, our bill was only slightly higher than the one night stay/supposed care at the other vet. Very disappointed in the other place, but extremely pleased with Cat & Cow. Although it is an hour from our house, we will never go to another clinic besides Cat & Cow. I was a new client with three dogs with diarrhea. All three dogs received a thorough examination by an extremely caring vet. He talked to me at length about them (we had just moved and there was a lot of stress involved with all four of us) and spent at least 45 minutes with us AFTER closing. The meds that were prescribed did the trick and they were better in two days. The bill was 1/3 of what it would have been at my old vet's office in middle Tennessee.
