Northeast Animal Hospital

Ridgeland, Mississippi
General Info
Northeast Animal Hospital, located in Ridgeland, is a veterinary practice that is committed to comprehensive care of pets throughout the region. The clinic is located in Ridgeland, United States. It is known for its professional and reliable approach to animal health, creating a supportive environment for both pets and their owners. The experienced team provides personalized wellness plans and regular check-ups. Some of the services are Hospice and Palliative Care, Pain Management, Wellness Exams, Dental Care, Oncology Services, Reptiles Services, Nutritional Counseling. These procedures are performed with the utmost attention to detail and have a dual focus on prevention and rectification. The hospital is fully equipped, and the animals are comfortable during their visits, which is essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment. Pet owners often praise the staff’s caring and attentive approach, which fosters trust and long-term loyalty. Northeast Animal Hospital continues to grow as a cornerstone of the Ridgeland pet-owning community. From helping young pets start their lives healthy to assisting older ones in managing chronic diseases, the professionals are always ready to help. Their advocacy for animals’ well-being is on display as they continue educating themselves and improving their knowledge. This ensures that every pet receives the best care possible. It also advocates for responsible pet ownership and community involvement, making it more than just a practice but a part of the local pet-loving family. Northeast Animal Hospital offers services to animal families in Ridgeland and the surrounding Mississippi areas through its behavior-as-dialogue approach, which synchronizes animal comfort and family input with clinical procedures in real-time. For the examinations to commence, attention rather than touch is needed. Staff observe how the animal makes eye contact or changes breathing when it hears people talking as well as how it moves in response to motion. Care then unfolds in parts. The observation of a pet’s skin coat and joints is based on its anchoring movements, leaning behaviors, and stiffening actions. When trust signs appear, the system checks the teeth, stomach and heart. Pet owners also provide information on how their daily routines change, what new sounds do pets react to and how walking or feeding habits alter. Northeast Animal Hospital offers services such as early-life exams and diagnostics, energy balance strategies, oral health planning, age-related joint tracking, and illness-specific mapping. Times frames are behavior dependent. Numerous sessions grow rapidly because they have obvious approval signs. Several developmental stages unfold gradually to give the animal ample time to understand the steps better. Pets that need recalibration to move further will benefit from knowing there are quiet and pause zones. The essence of post-visit care is the household application (or “translation”) of the instructions. Monitor sleep patterns as routines are reinstated, and look for silent signs like family alienation, appetite decline, or spatial isolation. Owners should also monitor timing as well as other symptoms. At what time does restlessness appear? During which daily period does hesitation reach its maximum occurrence? By recognizing that behavior is an important communication signal, Northeast Animal Hospital helps pets’ families in Ridgeland and nearby Mississippi areas to focus on everyday actions instead of crisis responses.

It depends on what doctor you get. I went on a Monday and had Dr. Bird (female) she was fantastic, very friendly, answered any questions. Can tell she has a passion for what she does. Dr. Kennedy (old male) was a rude, arrogant man. I am new to puppy life, and was peeved I was back in the vet on the following Saturday, because my dog had worms, which on Monday they checked for, for $35.00. I said this in a fairly steady tone, he immediately started talking over me when I voiced my concerns. And told me if I would listen he would tell me the medical reason, at that point I was not even talking. He told me I had an attitude, and made me feel an inch big. The vet tech was also just standing there, probably feeling uncomfortable. He told me "You will pay the same amount you would have paid on Monday if your dog got this shot." In a very rude tone. He also said, "we can sit here and argue but I will out-argue you." I am 23. I would have liked a chance to speak, I may be young but I am quite intelligent. After hearing the medical reason I was content with treatment. All I asked or suggested is that they clarify that tapeworm may not show up in a poop exam. I have never been humiliated at a vet, and would never expect to. I put in my chart that I refuse to see him again. I am pretty sure I will not go back to the vet once my dog is done with all of her puppy shots. If you have any concerns and questions about treatment don't expect to be heard. Read Less

I moved to the Ridgeland area recently and had to find a vet for my cat, winding up at this clinic. The health services were fine, but I was amazed at how much more expensive the treatment was than my last vet's. And I recently needed a vet's prescription to get flea medicine from an online pet medicine service, (1800Petmeds) so I provided this vet's contact info to the vendor. (1800Petmeds will try to get the prescription for you). However, I was notified later that they could not get the prescription from Northeast Pet clinic. So, I checked with the clinic who agreed to give me a hand written prescription but refused to provide it to 1800Petmeds, saying, "We just don't do that." Then I asked if they could fax the script, as the fax number is free. They refused. At last, I asked if they sold the same product. Why yes, for almost $80 more! My last vet was was always happy to provide presctiption info as a service to their clientele. Whose interests are more important here? Read Less
