The Sulphur Springs Veterinary Clinic offers the finest care for your pet. Our programs for wellness care have been used as models for quality care by numerous authorities.
Should your pet have an illness, we have a state-of-the-art in house diagnostic laboratory that has the capabilities to preform routine laboratory tests that are needed for illness workups so you can receive a quick diagnosis. Most results are ready during your visit.
Though we look small from the outside we maintain a very well equipped clinic and hospital with the latest medicines and treatment protocols for dogs and cats. Our surgery team uses the finest anesthesia and monitoring equipment made. We offer most all orthopedic, soft tissue, abdominal and thoracic surgical procedures and have the latest in CO2 surgical laser equipment.

I will never take my pup here again. The moment the vet walked into the room, he took my dog by the scruff of his neck and shoved his head down to the floor because my dog “mouths” people to greet them. We had just gotten our dog from a rescue shelter and the entire visit the vet explained that it would be unlikely we would ever be able to trust our dog. By the end of the visit, my dog had to be muzzled and the tech was practically sitting on him. We have been to another vet in the area multiple times since then, and my pup has never had to be muzzled other than that time. I can’t believe how physical they were with my dog. Never again.

They have a passion for animals and make an effort to explain anything that's going on with your pet. My dog tore an ACL and they gave me a thorough explanation of how they came to that conclusion and what the surgery/recovery would entail. The total cost of all of that was also lower than I expected. They genuinely care and they are the absolute sweetest people.

Had my first visit yesterday. I had recently adopted a stray and wanted to find a quality vet with reasonable pricing. They did a wellness check up at no charge, got me discounted pricing on heart guard, answered every question I had, and were very friendly and helpful. This will be Buddy's vet, which is definitely a plus since it is a walk down the street from us.

I've been bringing my cats to Sulphur Springs veterinary clinic ever since I moved here 25 years ago, and I've always been pleased with the exceptional service. The doctors are very friendly and knowledgeable, very kind to the animals, and they've always been good about getting my cats in right away when they're sick. All the doctors are excellent, and the staff is wonderful as well, very compassionate. I always feel confident that my pets will be treated well when I bring them to this clinic.

I brought my cat into the clinic because she was sick with a virus and walked out with a $150 bill. I was not told about any of the services or injections I was going to be charged for before hand, and was not given the new client new pet examination fee wavier. I was a new client and my cat had never been seen before. After calling them, they still did not take it off my bill. I was given an expensive medication that treated bacterial infections, and other treatments I question were necessary. If I had known my cat just had a virus before going in, I would have chosen not to spend the $150. As a college student with limited finances I think it's important for a vet to be clear on what they are doing, why, and how much it will cost, so you can make an informed decision.

Dr. Vertucci is a wonderful vet. She is always so caring and takes the time to answer all my questions. She even gave me her cell phone when my baby was sick. The other vet is wonderful as well. When we had an x-ray done he took me back to the viewer and told me what was what and that there was no break. He even let me keep a copy of the x-ray to show my husband.

I had used the Humane Society of MO Veterinary Medical Center for many years but had a terrible experience with bloodwork results being delayed and ended up losing my cat due to kidney failure that went untreated after 3 visits/exams. Working in the animal field, I had been to many vets with client's dogs and found that Sulpher Springs gave me the best overall service and my dog loved Dr. Irwin (which says alot!). The staff is extremly friendly, the hospital has the ability to do labwork in-house and Dr. Irwin takes all the time in the world to explain things to us lay people. The hospital make not look fancy. but the quality of care is so far above anywhere else I have gone, that I never worry when one of my babies gets sick - I know they are always in good hands!

The doctors are very friendly and knowledgeable, very kind to the animals, and they've always been good about getting my cats in right away when they're sick.
