To say that I'm disappointed with the treatment I've received from this vet clinic would be an understatement. My family brought our Husky here for 15 years and I had always been treated with respect....
To say that I'm disappointed with the treatment I've received from this vet clinic would be an understatement. My family brought our Husky here for 15 years and I had always been treated with respect. However, I brought my puppy in for an unscheduled visit right at eight am( their opening time that day), because he was possibly severely injured. ( He was howling hysterically and held his leg at an awkward angle after running full speed into concrete steps.) I did call on the way, but was reprimanded for not scheduling an appointment first... I suppose I'm supposed to know when my dog is going to randomly run into things and hurt himself. I was told that I had inconvenienced the rest of their customers who had appointments that morning. ( when I left... there were no cars in the parking lot and no one in the building.hmm..) Fast forward to another visit in which I was trying to get his heart worm /tick medication. Koch-Stigge Vet clinic made several attempts to fax them my dog's info so I could pick up his medicine at this Belton clinic as I was in a hurry to get to work. The receptionists were not kind, and told me to ask the Koche-Stigge employees if they knew how to send a fax. As I try to treat people with a bit more respect, I of course didn't ask them this. However, the young lady from Koche-Stigge (who I had on the phone as we were trying to solve the issue), heard the question and said she actually has had this issue with them before, and also informed me that their phone line is linked with their fax machine and that is probably was why it wasn't working. Regardless of why, I now only go to Koche-Stigg in Harrisonville, as they know how to treat people and animals with respect, and get this... they cost less!! Usually I say you get what you pay for, but in this instance that couldn't be further from the truth. If you want to go to a better vet, with better prices, and Vets who will treat your pet with or without an appointment if necessary, DO NOT go to the Belton Vet Center. Try Koche-Stigg. It's not much further away and worth the extra time.

Well I would like to start by saying that I took my kitten this vets office when she was about eight weeks old to get shots and an examination. I was told by the doctor that my kitten was female. I then took my kitten back the next day because she became ill after being seen at the vet the previous day. She was medicated and treated appropriately and sent back home with me. I took her in for her second set of shots and everything was seemingly fine with that visit and she was still a female on that visit. I took her in yesterday to get spayed, declawed, and microchiped. I get a call that afternoon saying that they opened her up and couldn’t find a uterus that my cat was really a boy. So now my kitten has been surgically opened for no reason and now has stitches that have to be monitored and removed when the surgery that was performed was not even necessary in the first place. I go to pick my kitten up and they bring my kitten out to me in the wrong cat box. I have extreme concern with the vets office that can’t tell a female kitten from a male kitten at 5 1/2 months old and preform unnecessary procedures especially without first verifying the sex. I will no longer be taking my cat or my dog to this vets office. I will be finding a place to have her stitches removed elsewhere and to get competent treatment for her. In addition, there was no sort of damage control done to alleviate my concerns or even an apology for the inappropriate care that my kitten received. All the vet said was that she wish she hadn’t done that.

I have taken my animals (3 cats, 2 dogs) to this clinic for the last 13 years, and even though I am moving 30 minutes away, I will likely continue to do so for appointments and non-emergencies. I only board my dogs for 2-3 days tops, but their boarding rates are excellent. When I call or visit, they know my animals by name and by sight, and my dog is excited to be there even for boarding. In this case, going to the vet is not punishment. All rates are very reasonable, and every person on staff has a clear concern for my pets. I will say that there was one visit in all of 13 years that I felt the employee was out of line, but I've never seen that person there since, so clearly that was resolved in short order.

Recently, our family made the decision to say goodbye to our 14-year old Labrador, Wyatt Earp. The Veterinarian and her staff were amazing through this hard and difficult process. They allowed our family to have as much time with Wyatt in private as we needed and allowed us to move forward at our own pace when we were ready. Our oldest daughter even commented, as she was leaving with a family member, on how nice the staff was for recognizing that she and her sister were upset about saying goodbye. We are grateful for our final moments with Wyatt and the empathy the staff showed us. This is a great facility with staff that feel like part of the family. Thank you Belton Veterinarian Center.

After having a really awful experience at banfield and feeling hopeless about getting my kitty the treatment he needed, Dr. Vansickle came to my rescue and took care of everything my fur baby needed for a few dollars less than a single test at banfield. I left feeling like they really cared about me and my cat. I will never go anywhere else and will recommend them to all my friends and family.

Well I would like to start by saying that I took my kitten this vets office when she was about eight weeks old to get shots and an examination. I was told by the doctor that my kitten was female. They allowed our family to have as much time with Wyatt in private as we needed and allowed us to move forward at our own pace when we were ready. Our oldest daughter even commented, as she was leaving with a family member, on how nice the staff was for recognizing that she and her sister were upset about saying goodbye. We are grateful for our final moments with Wyatt and the empathy the staff showed us. This is a great facility with staff that feel like part of the family. Thank you Belton Veterinarian Center.

After having a really awful experience at banfield and feeling hopeless about getting my kitty the treatment he needed, Dr. Vansickle came to my rescue and took care of everything my fur baby needed for a few dollars less than a single test at banfield. I left feeling like they really cared about me and my cat. I will never go anywhere else and will recommend them to all my friends and family.
