Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. We employ trained animal behaviorists who help determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior, and then develop a treatment regimen for the client.
CARE FOR POCKET PETS (small mammals) AND TURTLES
Veterinary medicine for exotic pets is growing as the popularity of these animals increase. With better public education in health, nutritional and environmental management, all species have a greater chance for living longer and healthier lives. We employ staff veterinarians who possess experience in the care and treatments of ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, other small rodents, and turtles. We also do routine nail and beak trims on small birds.
SPECIALIZED DENTAL CARE
Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. The doctors polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. Advanced dental care is available: including root canals, caps and braces.
EMERGENCY AND CRITICAL CARE
In any emergency, seconds count. Our experienced staff is backed up by our mobile resuscitation unit, stocked and equipped to administer the ABCs of basic life support – Airway, Breathing, Circulation/Cardiac compressions. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours. In addition, we use the services of a local, fully staffed emergency center.

Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program; spay and neuter package; and specialized blood tests for all life stages.
INTERNAL MEDICINE

Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery.

Wonderful service! They have an app for all of your veterinary needs that even has helpful resources. I'm going to use it to find diabetic dog food recipes. They gave me a great deal, and didn't charge me an office visit fee since I had gotten my cat a rabies vaccination. I wish I could bring my dog here, but he is already enrolled in a wellness plan for another 5 mos with Banfield.

My family has used this vet for 7-8 years, our pets always got an appointment in a timely manner. My 1 cat & 2 dog's saw all 3 vets. All are knowledgeable & very up to date on current medical info. All vets are thorough, give detailed info, lay all options out for your pet & will explain so you can & do understand. When it came time to let our beloved cat go, everyone treated my cat and I with respect & where very supportive during and afterwards. About 1 week after letting her go we received a card with a caring message from all that worked there! I highly recommend them for several reasons.. Great service, affordable, & very informed vets!!

Our family have been patients at Bridgeton animal hospital for years and continue to come to this practice even after moving to St. Charles for the care and love given to our fur babies when they are needed. Bear broke his dew claw Saturday morning just before 8am and I called right as the girls opened the office to see what could be done. The wonderful staff told me to head up with him and they would get us taken care of. So glad to have them!

(FIRST REVIEW WOULD BE A (5 OUT OF 5 STAR RATING)The first review will be for Dr. Kay Tung and also Dr. Pierre Tung. Both of these veterinarians are extremely thorough when they check out your pets. They are both highly qualified in there Field of work and I would recommend both of these veterinarians if you choose Bridgeton Animal Hospital they both know what they are doing and will only do what ever they think is necessary, I have never had either one of these two Doctors just try and guess what is wrong. They have helped a couple of our four legged family members, and as for Dr.Kay and Dr.Pierre they were both very Informative and knew what tests to run and was very qualified at Diagnosing what was wrong with our pets that they helped. AGAIN AS FOR AS DOCTORS THAT PRACTICE AT BRIDGETON ANIMAL HOSPITAL I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR.KAY TUNG AND/OR DR.PIERRE TUNG AND I WOULD GIVE THESE TWO DOCTORS A FIVE STAR RATING. They are by far not the cheapest hospital in the St.Louis Area in fact they charge more then most specialized veterinarians and/or most emergency animal hospitals. AS FOR AS THEIR SECOND REVIEW FOR DR.ERICK LUTZEIER (SECOND REVIEW WOULD BE (0 OUT OF 5 STAR RATING) Dr.Erick seen our dog and when we met him we told Dr.Erick that after starting our dog on a specific anabiotic our dog became very lethargic and lame, and after we seen this happen to our dog after starting this anabiotic we did research on this specific antibiotic and found that this has happened in purebred dogs and it also said to see a veterinarian if your dog has this Side Effect. That is when I called BRIDGETON ANIMAL HOSPITAL and I asked the front desk to pacifically see Dr.Kay or Dr.Pierre and was told that they were not available and was told that Dr.Erick was able to see our dog and I asked if he was as qualified and experienced as Dr.Kay or Dr.Pierre and the front desk receptionist got very rude and said he wouldn't have been hired if he wasn't good so I took her word for it and set up an appointment to see this Dr.Erick Lutzeier, after meeting with him and letting him know that this all did not start until right after our dog started this medication the doctor suggested x-rays that we thought was unnecessary due to the fact that we seen this has happened to other purebred dogs that have taken this medication and that our dog did not fall, trip, or even stumble so I asked why would x-rays be necessary and he stated that is where they would start out. I asked if the could do a blood panel and he stated that since we don't know what is wrong he wouldn't know what type of blood work to draw for, I suggested a full blood panel and he kept saying he needs x-rays we finally said if you will be able to see what is wrong by doing an x-Ray go ahead but I don't know what a medication can do to my dogs bones that an x-Ray will show. He took our dog in the back and a few minutes later brought our dog back out to us. Just a few minutes later Dr.Erick came into the room with his laptop and said the x-rays came back perfect and stated and showed us on his laptop that our dogs joints, bones, hips and knees were in perfect shape. So he said we should stop the medication, which we had already done after reading about the medication. And he didn't state how many x-rays he was doing, which at the most should have been two, one of the front leg and one of the back leg since those were the only two legs that were lame and since Dr.Erick said he needed x-rays. He took four x-rays without letting us know how many x-rays they were taking, so for the four x-rays that were not necessary at all and Dr.Erick saying he is not sure what is wrong we was charged $302.00 to find out nothing. The next day we called back and let them know our dog is getting worse and I asked Dr.Erick again if they could do a blood panel and again he said he wouldn't know what to test for. The next day my wife called back again letting Dr.Erick know that our dog was doing a lot worse and Dr.Erick stated that since he doesn't know what is wrong with our dog the best thing to do would be to do the humane thing for our dog my wife and I both asked to speak to either Dr.Kay Tung or Dr.Pierre Tung and the girl at the front desk said since we seen Dr.Erick and since he was the one taking care of our dog then the other doctors wouldn't talk to us. Dr.Erick recommended that we have our dog euthanized and after not being able to talk to the doctors at BRIDGETON ANIMAL HOSPITAL. Two days later after Dr. Erick recommended that we have our dog euthanized our dog has started acting like his normal self lameness is gone and he is eating and drinking and feeling great again after Medication got out of his system. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DR.ERICK LUTZEIER TO ANYONE AT ALL. Thankfully we did not Euthanize our dog as the doctor recommended.

I can't say enough great things about this hospital! I've been a vet tech for 10 years and Bridgeton is one of only a few places in the area I trust with my dogs. When my pup needed dental work I was recommended to go here by several of my friends in the veterinary world, and I'm so thankful they did! Dr. Pierre was wonderful with my dog as was the rest of the staff. They're knowledgeable, flexible, and so incredibly kind and compassionate. No doubt vet care is expensive but they are very reasonable on cost. I have had no problems getting an appointment quickly whenever I need to come in. When I walk in the door, my dog wags her tail like crazy and jumps up on the counter to say hi- so I know she loves them as much as I do! I would recommend them to anyone who loves their pets and wants the best medical care for them!

We love Bridgeton Animal hospital! We switched to them after another vet wanted to do some pretty dramatic, life changing and expensive procedures on our dog, who was only 4 at the time. The vets at BAH helped us, find less invasive and more conservative ways to help our dog. They were not about getting money, they wanted the best for her. She is now 10, perfectly healthy and happy - thanks to the caring vets and vet techs at Bridgeton Animal hospital! We have experienced nothing but kindness and compassion since switching to BAH. I am happy with our choice, thankful for all at BAH and recommend them to any and everyone!

BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE
Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. We employ trained animal behaviorists who help determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior, and then develop a treatment regimen for the client.
CARE FOR POCKET PETS (small mammals) AND TURTLES
Veterinary medicine for exotic pets is growing as the popularity of these animals increase. With better public education in health, nutritional and environmental management, all species have a greater chance for living longer and healthier lives. We employ staff veterinarians who possess experience in the care and treatments of ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, other small rodents, and turtles. We also do routine nail and beak trims on small birds.
SPECIALIZED DENTAL CARE
Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. The doctors polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. Advanced dental care is available: including root canals, caps and braces.
EMERGENCY AND CRITICAL CARE
In any emergency, seconds count. Our experienced staff is backed up by our mobile resuscitation unit, stocked and equipped to administer the ABCs of basic life support – Airway, Breathing, Circulation/Cardiac compressions. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours. In addition, we use the services of a local, fully staffed emergency center.

Wonderful service! They have an app for all of your veterinary needs that even has helpful resources. I'm going to use it to find diabetic dog food recipes. They gave me a great deal, and didn't charge me an office visit fee since I had gotten my cat a rabies vaccination. I wish I could bring my dog here, but he is already enrolled in a wellness plan for another 5 mos with Banfield.

My family has used this vet for 7-8 years, our pets always got an appointment in a timely manner. My 1 cat & 2 dog's saw all 3 vets. All are knowledgeable & very up to date on current medical info. All vets are thorough, give detailed info, lay all options out for your pet & will explain so you can & do understand. When it came time to let our beloved cat go, everyone treated my cat and I with respect & where very supportive during and afterwards. About 1 week after letting her go we received a card with a caring message from all that worked there! I highly recommend them for several reasons.. Great service, affordable, & very informed vets!!

Our family have been patients at Bridgeton animal hospital for years and continue to come to this practice even after moving to St. Charles for the care and love given to our fur babies when they are needed. Bear broke his dew claw Saturday morning just before 8am and I called right as the girls opened the office to see what could be done. The wonderful staff told me to head up with him and they would get us taken care of. So glad to have them!

(FIRST REVIEW WOULD BE A (5 OUT OF 5 STAR RATING)The first review will be for Dr. Kay Tung and also Dr. Pierre Tung. Both of these veterinarians are extremely thorough when they check out your pets. They are both highly qualified in there Field of work and I would recommend both of these veterinarians if you choose Bridgeton Animal Hospital they both know what they are doing and will only do what ever they think is necessary, I have never had either one of these two Doctors just try and guess what is wrong. They have helped a couple of our four legged family members, and as for Dr.Kay and Dr.Pierre they were both very Informative and knew what tests to run and was very qualified at Diagnosing what was wrong with our pets that they helped. AGAIN AS FOR AS DOCTORS THAT PRACTICE AT BRIDGETON ANIMAL HOSPITAL I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR.KAY TUNG AND/OR DR.PIERRE TUNG AND I WOULD GIVE THESE TWO DOCTORS A FIVE STAR RATING. They are by far not the cheapest hospital in the St.Louis Area in fact they charge more then most specialized veterinarians and/or most emergency animal hospitals. AS FOR AS THEIR SECOND REVIEW FOR DR.ERICK LUTZEIER (SECOND REVIEW WOULD BE (0 OUT OF 5 STAR RATING) Dr.Erick seen our dog and when we met him we told Dr.Erick that after starting our dog on a specific anabiotic our dog became very lethargic and lame, and after we seen this happen to our dog after starting this anabiotic we did research on this specific antibiotic and found that this has happened in purebred dogs and it also said to see a veterinarian if your dog has this Side Effect. That is when I called BRIDGETON ANIMAL HOSPITAL and I asked the front desk to pacifically see Dr.Kay or Dr.Pierre and was told that they were not available and was told that Dr.Erick was able to see our dog and I asked if he was as qualified and experienced as Dr.Kay or Dr.Pierre and the front desk receptionist got very rude and said he wouldn't have been hired if he wasn't good so I took her word for it and set up an appointment to see this Dr.Erick Lutzeier, after meeting with him and letting him know that this all did not start until right after our dog started this medication the doctor suggested x-rays that we thought was unnecessary due to the fact that we seen this has happened to other purebred dogs that have taken this medication and that our dog did not fall, trip, or even stumble so I asked why would x-rays be necessary and he stated that is where they would start out. I asked if the could do a blood panel and he stated that since we don't know what is wrong he wouldn't know what type of blood work to draw for, I suggested a full blood panel and he kept saying he needs x-rays we finally said if you will be able to see what is wrong by doing an x-Ray go ahead but I don't know what a medication can do to my dogs bones that an x-Ray will show. He took our dog in the back and a few minutes later brought our dog back out to us. Just a few minutes later Dr.Erick came into the room with his laptop and said the x-rays came back perfect and stated and showed us on his laptop that our dogs joints, bones, hips and knees were in perfect shape. So he said we should stop the medication, which we had already done after reading about the medication. And he didn't state how many x-rays he was doing, which at the most should have been two, one of the front leg and one of the back leg since those were the only two legs that were lame and since Dr.Erick said he needed x-rays. He took four x-rays without letting us know how many x-rays they were taking, so for the four x-rays that were not necessary at all and Dr.Erick saying he is not sure what is wrong we was charged $302.00 to find out nothing. The next day we called back and let them know our dog is getting worse and I asked Dr.Erick again if they could do a blood panel and again he said he wouldn't know what to test for. The next day my wife called back again letting Dr.Erick know that our dog was doing a lot worse and Dr.Erick stated that since he doesn't know what is wrong with our dog the best thing to do would be to do the humane thing for our dog my wife and I both asked to speak to either Dr.Kay Tung or Dr.Pierre Tung and the girl at the front desk said since we seen Dr.Erick and since he was the one taking care of our dog then the other doctors wouldn't talk to us. Dr.Erick recommended that we have our dog euthanized and after not being able to talk to the doctors at BRIDGETON ANIMAL HOSPITAL. Two days later after Dr. Erick recommended that we have our dog euthanized our dog has started acting like his normal self lameness is gone and he is eating and drinking and feeling great again after Medication got out of his system. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DR.ERICK LUTZEIER TO ANYONE AT ALL. Thankfully we did not Euthanize our dog as the doctor recommended.

I can't say enough great things about this hospital! I've been a vet tech for 10 years and Bridgeton is one of only a few places in the area I trust with my dogs. When my pup needed dental work I was recommended to go here by several of my friends in the veterinary world, and I'm so thankful they did! Dr. Pierre was wonderful with my dog as was the rest of the staff. They're knowledgeable, flexible, and so incredibly kind and compassionate. No doubt vet care is expensive but they are very reasonable on cost. I have had no problems getting an appointment quickly whenever I need to come in. When I walk in the door, my dog wags her tail like crazy and jumps up on the counter to say hi- so I know she loves them as much as I do! I would recommend them to anyone who loves their pets and wants the best medical care for them!

We love Bridgeton Animal hospital! We switched to them after another vet wanted to do some pretty dramatic, life changing and expensive procedures on our dog, who was only 4 at the time. The vets at BAH helped us, find less invasive and more conservative ways to help our dog. They were not about getting money, they wanted the best for her. She is now 10, perfectly healthy and happy - thanks to the caring vets and vet techs at Bridgeton Animal hospital! We have experienced nothing but kindness and compassion since switching to BAH. I am happy with our choice, thankful for all at BAH and recommend them to any and everyone!
