We had the heartbreaking experience of putting our beloved boy down last week. He was our first "baby" and everything about this was understandably heartbreaking. Today we received a beautiful card with our buddy's paw print inside. While it may get monotonous for the staff (and I'm talking 8-10 people) to sign these cards and impart words to comfort pet owners, please know that this brought incredible comfort to our family. We took our English Bulldog here to get him neutered and the staff was wonderful, the doc was great, they were very thorough in explaining everything, I definitely woud recommend them and we will continue to go here. Read Less

Easy to schedule and good care for my pet but I ended up owing $54 more for dollars for service (yearly and some vaccines) than I was quoted in the treatment room and they just sort of shrugged and said they couldn't do anything about it. Very frustrated and will not be returning. Read Less

Thank you Animal Medical Center for taking care of my doggie. She tore her ACL and the doctors, nurses and aides really took care of her. The surgeon even called me to follow-up. It's been almost three months and she's back to her old self. And your fees are reasonable. Thanks! Read Less

The HS was great with us..... Had a problem with our dog and my VET could not get us in & they did right away. Surveyed her situation and was going to do what needed to be done. But unfortunately she was too far gone and we lost her. But they were great on the opposite end helping with the final things for her & gave condolences and support. Timely! Super friendly--my sweet dog pooped as soon as we walked into the examining room, and I went to clean it up (since it is MY responsibility, as I see it), but the assistant insisted on cleaning it up, and she was so friendly and positive that I didn't feel awkward with the incident! The doctor was quite open, explaining even the most "simple" shot, and she twice asked if I had any questions. I also appreciate them letting me know the prices/total bill before I made a decision on the different treatments. Lastly, the young woman who took my credit card explained the new program and its benefits, and was quite helpful with printing a boarding certificate for me to take to my kennel the next day. I have taken my dog here since he was puppy 8 weeks old, and No I didn't get him from the humane society I made the choice to bring him to the Animal Medical center for Vet care on my own. I LOVE THEM they give my full undivided attention when we are there they my an effort to know my dog and they really really care from the receptionist to the call center to vet techs to the Drs. My dog got really sick when he was puppy and they called me several times throughout the day to check on him for days even on the weekend. They always follow after a vist\treatment. A bonus is apportion of my cost goes to the humane society to help, it a win win. some people think you cant have a one on one vet\dr if you go here , that's no true either you can choose to see only one vet if you want, which is another plus of going here because you can see several Drs until you find one that you just love if you want then stick with him or her! I will never ever get a pet from the Humane Society again. 4 days ago we adopted a cat. The cat was supposed to be wormed, treated for fleas, nails clipped, and in good health. The cat was very skinny and looked shabby but because it was just spayed 2 days before we took her home, we got her anyway because we fell in love. Once we got her home we discovered she was flea infested and worms crawling out of her back side. Health certificate stated she had been treated for all prior to the adoption. Needless to say our other pet has been exposed as well as our family is at risk for health problems. We now have to take both cats to our vet and our little one to the pediatrician. Just a warning to beware of what you are actually getting from the Humane Society. Read Less

We take our English bulldog here.  Their staff is very nice (the front desk people could use some smiles and manners though) and they are very thorough with our dog.  They take the time to explain everything, ask questions, you name it. Read Less

One month ago we brought in our two Akitas (age 10) to the Maryland Heights location. One of our concerns was that Remy was not getting around very well and I was worried about his joint heath and how he would survive another bitterly cold winter. The Doctor we saw recommended adding Fish Oil to their food. 2500 mg max a day. The same fish oil we find at our pharmacy. Pop an end with a pin, squeeze over their food. So easy. I found 1200 mg caplets at my local pharmacy on sale. It has been a month and this is my testimonial and official THANK YOU!!!*** Within two weeks we noticed their coat had more luster. Their nails splintered less when being groomed. At three weeks we noticed the silence. No more snap, crackle and pop when either dog was getting up off the floor. Remy no longer made a clicking sound when walking through the house in the middle of the night. I started taking Remy on walks again. And he has more pep in his step than he has in years! He trots after deer and squirrels again. He also climbs on the couch for long naps when everyone else is asleep. Something he hasn't made the effort to do in over a year. Bad dog but we don't care as we are just so happy to see this dramatic improvement in his agility. We started bringing our dogs to Animal Medical Center of Mid-America only in the last two years. Our dogs love it there and are so much more at ease than at their previous Vet's office. The examination rooms are large enough to accomodate the Doctor, his assistants, both Akita's and my husband and I. The experienced team of people there are great and friendly. I have been in 3 times in the last 4 days with my cat Henry. He was withering away in front on my eyes. He wasn't eating, or drinking. He was so skinny. We were trying to rule out all possibilities for why. Finally yesterday an X-ray was done, and we were able to see that he ate something he wasn't supposed to...and a lot of it. He had emergency surgery, and did well. Thanks to everyone in the office that saved my cat's life. I can't imagine having gone anywhere else. Read Less
