Very frustrating office staff. When I dropped off my dog to be boarded, I asked for his anal gland to be expressed. When I picked up my dog, I asked if the simple procedure had happened. They couldn't find any record of it. I shared my concern, to which the front desk told me not to worry about it. I told them no, I needed to know if it had happened, and if not I would like it done. Again, I was told not to worry about it. I explained that my dog has "expressed" recently on furniture and that I was worried that he might do it again. The staff tried to assure me that he probably wouldn't do it again. I asked one more time if they could just do it to make sure the gland was empty. Finally, they let me know that no one was in the office that could do it, and that I would have to bring him back if I wanted it done.
To recap, I requested the procedure when I dropped off my dog for boarding. They had the dog for several days. When I picked them up, they could not find any record of if they did, or did not, do the procedure. The front desk staff told me not to worry about it multiple times even though they did not know if the procedure was done. When I asked for it to be done while I was still there, they told me again not to worry about it. And finally, they conceded that no one was there to do it. And the whopper is that I would have to make another appointment.
PS., No apologies were offered for the inconvenience on not knowing nor for directing me to make another appointment. Fortunately, there are several other vet centers in the area. Read Less
