After many years and pets under this vet clinics care, I have moved on to another vet. For the record, the staff here have been consistently friendly (I have been at this vet for probably 10 years). It's a clean place, I always felt welcomed coming in and the staff are genuine animal lovers. I have taken a lot of pets here and because the good typically outweighed the bad I stayed. However, Cinnamon, my cat that I took there was the last straw. When I took a step back to evaluate the care I've had here I realized that this vet has fooled me by convincing me to spend money I didn't need to spend, and has some serious clerical issues. I finally decided to switch. Here are the pets I took there and a scenario for each to exemplify my point. Cat Sparkles - I took her in because she was acting lethargic and not going to the bathroom. Paid for an x ray and they said she was constipated, I think they gave her something to move it along. Said she should stay at the clinic overnight so they could keep an eye on her. Paid for a night and when I picked her up the next morning they said because she was in an unfamiliar place and probably uncomfortable, she never used the bathroom. So...why did I pay for an overnight visit?Dog Velvet - Had a lot of good care for her with no complaints...until she passed away. Went in for a quote of cremation and they printed one out. I ended up getting her cremated elsewhere. (somewhere that had a lower price and included a beautiful box and lock of her hair as well as a poem and her paw print. I recommend them: stookeypetcremationservi… ) Well, then the bills started coming. First one said I owed for her cremation. I called them and said I didn't get her cremated there. I got another one and ignored it thinking it had made it in the mail before I called. Got a third one, saying that I was going to be sent to collections if I didn't pay for my dogs cremation that I didn't have done there. Called furious, the girl said "yes we have her remains would you like to pick them up?" Seriously? What would have happened if I went in there and asked to pick up her ashes? Whose would I have even gotten?Cat Mittens - Had blood work done for her at their request. They lost the blood or it got contaminated or something. So I had to go back. Went back to get more blood taken (already annoying enough) and they were closed for some event. Not to mention I had called their office before I left to tell them I was coming. They didn't answer but there was no message on their machine saying they were going to be closed for normal business hours that day.Dog Jazmine - took her in for a routine check up, everything fine. Took her in a week later because she was acting funny, they did nothing except for talk to me about her behavior. Then charged me for another visit. If the policy is to charge for a second visit, then you better look in her ears and clip her toenails or do some actual work instead of just talking to me for five minutes and sending me on my way.Cat Cinnamon - decided to try a different vet for her. I went there, the new vet called Clarkson-Wilson to get her records. The girl from Clarkson-Wilson on the phone said "Oh yes I see her records. We have that she is positive for Feline AIDS and we have never taken her weight". Well, given that I had never been told my cat had aids (and was possibly giving it to other cats as I take my cat on walks outside), I freaked out. When I was done crying (I have no idea how long a cat has after contracting AIDS), I ran myself over to Clarkson-Wilson. I demanded that I was given a copy of every animal's records I had taken there and how on earth could my cat have tested positive for FIV and no one tell her owner?! The lady handed me Cinnamon's records and I could see at once FIV was checked negative and her weight was 8 pounds. I asked how could someone make a mistake and scare a pet owner like this? She apologized a million times and said it was some new girl. New or not, I did not enjoy the panic I got from being told some completely wrong information by a girl who works in a vet clinic yet cannot read simple vet records. So ten years of service and 5 big issues. You can draw your own conclusions. Read Less
