Great practice! My dog Ellie is comfortable there and they are all very kind. The vets are quick, answer any questions, and are great with my fur baby. They also have grooming and boarding, which I have yet to use but I would be comfortable taking her there for grooming services in the future. I asked about grooming cost and it's a great price in comparison to what I've seen for quotes in the area. We live in Chesterfield and drove over half an hour because the reviews were so high and we thought this a better choice than the dozen of vets we passed from our house to this location. When we arrived, I was not greeted at the window. Once I finally received my new client paperwork, no one was at the window to accept the paperwork. With the forms, I attached the puppy shot/health history. Once we saw the Vet, we realized they didn't give the vet any of the history we provided. I walked from the vet appt to ask the front desk if they had the paperwork and they didn't know what I was talking about. They kept questioning me as if I lost it. When I went back to my appointment I told the vet they were looking for it but it significantly delayed our puppy shot appt because they lost the previous records. They found it after the Vet herself had to leave the appointment and speak to the front desk in order to get things moving faster. After finally getting those things found (they were our originals so finding them was IMPERATIVE) we were able to finish the appt. The appointment itself was dissatisfying. We had some concerns and were trying to understand the suggestions but the vet kept repeating the same words and seemed annoyed at talking the time to explain. The Vet was extremely robotic and I started to feel ashamed with asking her questions and explaining my concerns. For example, we explained that our puppy was mostly housebroken and crate trained but the past few days he had multiple accidents in the house and seemed frantic in his crate. She simply said 'Maybe you need to take him out more.' I was put off by this comment because since he is a pup we take him out at LEAST once an hour. After water, naps, playtime, eating, after even relaxing on the couch. Then she asked if we were new dog owners. We were not, but I felt even less confident with her attitude. Then, at the end of the visit we were checking out and I explained since we got our pet from a shelter, that the hospital was listed as providing the pet checkup for free. They needed to see the contract which was fine, but the office worker tried to read through and highlight/mark on our original contract! I showed her the list that FAH was listed on and she said that a pet visit was $59.95(somewhere in that range) and that it was already included in the vaccinations so we weren't able to use our referral. Her demeanor was 'welp, It's already included so too bad.' Since she mentioned how much a standalone visit was, I wondered why she wasn't able to discount that from amount we had to pay for vaccinations. I was growing frustrated with them losing the paperwork, the uninterested vet, and trying to ruin our original copies, that I decided to not argue further and just leave as quickly as possible. Individual pet attention and reasonable pricing keeps us coming back. Grooming services are often used by other patrons when I take our animals in for annual vaccines. They must accel in that area. Although, we've never tried them for that. Read Less

They r the best.. the Dr's are the very best.. Hope Renee has been going to them for 3 yrs.. I will always recommend them.. as well as the girls at the front Debbie, Dara, &, Brandy are amazing.. there always there when I call & have questions or an emergency.. my dog Hope Renee loves the girls... yesterday they handle a allergic reaction with my dog with kindness, love, &, quickness.. her meds were ready as soon as we got there.. they calmed me down & loved on Hope Renee right away getting her meds in her.. They are a wonderful animal hospital & always there for pet-children as well as the pet parents. My kitty,Hurley, was acting very sick,not eating or peeing.. I called my usual vet,who I have been using for over 20 years and explained the emergency situation I had. They said they could see me in 4 days. ARE YOU KIDDING ? This is an emergency! So I called Florissant Animal Hospital. They saw my Hurley right away. Turns out,Hurley had a massive bladder obstruction. He needed surgery to insert a catheter and two days in hospital . Dr.Leger was beyond amazing! Dr. Leger takes great care of the kiddos! It's never difficult to get an appointment, and staff members are always willing to answer questions and help. I've bounced from vet to vet for a while before finding FAH, and it's very comforting to know I can depend on them consistently. Let me just say that this is my first puppy. Ariel is a chihuahua and about 3 pounds and only 13 weeks old. She is so tiny and I was afraid when we walked in because she was scared. I quickly found they made me feel comfortable and they are very patient, kind and wonderful with my baby. Any time I have a question they are always available and have no problem with answering me. After a very bad experience with my German shepherd somewhere else my anxiety was HIGH bringing him somewhere new. The staff here handled our situation SOO well. I wasn't berated for having a protective, and high strung, large dog. The issues were addressed professionally with actual solutions. BE very careful of being overcharged!!!  I specifically told the vet that I did NOT want the extra lab work done, which was $50, for my dog.  They obviously took advantage of me because I was there with my dog, 2 kittens & 2 kids,  I did not have time to pick apart the bill since we had already been there 2 hours.  I looked at my bill & decided to take my kittens else where for their boosters & spay, as they charged twice as much as Webster Vets I have typically gone to.  I noticed they DID charge me for the $50 I had said no to.  So I called the vet (this was actually 2 weeks after our appointment).  And asked if I could get a copy of my dog's lab results.  They said they would send it but instead they called me the following day & said the lab 'lost' his blood so we would need to come in again.  Very funny that nobody had said a word to me prior to this, they were just going to keep my $50 and do nothing.  I also can tell you I paid to have both my kittens spayed & have their booster shots, for the price Florissant Animal hospital wanted to charge me for just one kitten to be spayed.   I will NEVER go there again. I will never take my animals there again! I took my cat there to be spay. The service charges were 3 times the amount I was originally quoted. I had asked about all charges, including hidden fees, before I brought my cat to them. And when I argued about the charges the receptionist became very rude, blaming me for her incompetence! Thanks to a friend of mine being a sales rep for Vectra, and the Yelp review, and a few personal references, I am in love with Florissant Animal Hospital.  The 2 seperate entrances is very clever, I have 2 cats and a dog, and I know my cats stress out so much more at the vet, I think not seeing other random dogs around would be beneficial. Today, I brought in my dog Nube for his annual shots.  I have had him for 2 years and had not been happy with the Humane Society so I decided to call FLOAH to ask about their prices for shots, the prices were pretty much the same, and FLOAH is closer to home than any of STL's Humane Societys.  Not that the people or my experience at the Humane Society was ever terrible, or dissatisfying, but the ladies at FLOAH and the doctor were beyond nice, they answered all of my questions, and the cashier made sure I did not throw away my mail-in rebate when I receive it.  Also, my dog was not trembling on the table... My theory is that because it's not a cold metal table, it's a normal kind of, kitchen counter top table... But it could also be that it was his first time there and he didn't know what was coming yet.I heart mail-in rebates! Read Less

I've been taking my dogs here for years. The people are so nice and helpful. They send us Christmas cards every year. They even sent a sympathy card when one of our dogs died. I really enjoy their personable service and have recommeneded them to my friends. Also, the place is clean and doesn't smell. I don't understand how they do it! Read Less
