First of all; be cautious-- As far as my family's experience with Crain, we took our mixed-breed in for the basic maintenance; an ear cleaning, nail clip, shots, and teeth cleaning. Much to our surprise our energetic, healthy, busy, social, very much loved family pet was returned to us with news of heart problems, an odd infection of his urinary tract that set in within a week of taking the heart med, and TOTALLY DEAF. Totally, irreparably DEAF. No apology from the staff, no explanation other than, "Well, sometimes that happens". We are just sick. He was hearing fine when he went in, but now responds to no noise at all since the day he came home. Heart breaking, to see him become more dejected by the day... We took him to another vet, by the way, who told us there was nothing to be done about the hearing loss now, and that the dog didn't at all need the heart medication. Sick. Read Less
