We took our Puggle Rydell there for physical therapy , And regular care . I highly recommend this office . Our doctor is Abby Snyder and Wendy was the tech that cared for him daily while in the hospital .All of the staff is caring and compassionate . I have got to hand it to the Grandview Animal Hospital! A couple weeks ago, I noticed a significant weight loss in my cat, Zeus. He was originally my Dad's cat, but when my Dad died last year, I inherited him. He has been a joy and source of hilarity since he was born, and a special favorite of everyone. I took him to GV AH and they checked him out thoroughly, with blood work, urinalysis, X-rays, etc. The diagnosis was kidney disease and a large mass in his abdomen, and ...the prognosis was not good. They were very kind and compassionate in telling me what the options were, and letting me decide how to handle it. We decided there was no point to exploratory surgery, and that the kindest thing to do was to euthanize Zeus. On the day I took him in to be euthanized, I was greeted very kindly and sympathetically, and taken into a private room. They took him to put in an IV and brought him back to me in a blanket, and allowed me time to cuddle and comfort him. The vet assistant was crying almost as much as I was, and when it was done, they gently took him from me and assured me they would make sure his cremation was done with respect. The staff here is great. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. The Doctor was wonderful; explaining the issue completely and giving me plenty of home remedies to save me money and time. Amazing people they helped my dog so much even though he didn't make it though the surgery doctor took care great care of him, I cannot be more grateful I had the chance to get to know them... I have 3 corgis the mom and her two boys and they have been there for them from the time they were born to now almost 2 years later. They are always so nice and very easy to work with even when when the mom hates having her nails trimmed they always take great care of them and give them lots of treats. Read Less

They are the nicest people! I have 2 dogs, 1 is pug boxer and the other is a difficult stubborn american bulldog. They made me feel better and my american bulldog loves them. He figured out right away how to get treats from the nurses! They take great care of the pets and always work with you to get them in for appointments. They even call to check on them when they give prescriptions and know there could be issues. They have some of the most accommodating hours of any vet I've seen. Read Less

Truly wonderful and caring staff! My Jack Russell is very well taken care of every time we visit their office whether it is for a check up or something unpleasant. They have gone out of their way to make sure we understand what our dog needs. Last fall when our dog needed some emergency treatment they took great care of him! The Dr's and staff provided me with researched information as to why our dog may have gotten sick and what we needed to do to treat him as well as future prevention. My pup's allergies were in rear form and he was really uncomfortable. I called for an apt and was told there was nothing for a few days, then the lovely receptionist said let me get a tech on the phone maybe they can give you some remedies until we can get him in. I explained what was going on to the tech and she said bring him in tomorrow anytime before lunch, we don't have any appointments but the Vet will take a look at him throughout her day and in between cases. I did, and throughout the day Dr. Courtney kept me updated on his exam and what she recommended. I picked him up later with some scripts and 2 days later he is feeling 100%! I was so touched they cared enough about his comfort not to let him wait or for me to have to take him somewhere else. Fantastic care! Just moved to the area. My dog was so relaxed even during exam and procedures. Dr. Snyder was patient, asked tons of questions, and asked if I had questions or concerns she hadn't covered. Staff was super helpful. My husband and I just moved to the Kansas City area. Moving can be extremely stressful especially when finding replacements for the things that matter most such who is going to care for our pets. We love our pets dearly. The joy they bring to our lives cant be measured. So, I was very, very nervous and worried about who I was going to take my dog and cat to. We thought we were going to live in the Grandview area so I made an appointment at Grandview Animal Hospital considering that it had great reviews and was about 3 minutes away from our home. Fast forward to this week we will now be living in Independence due to a crazy situation. Our new home is about 20-30 minutes away but I decided to keep our appointment. I am so glad that I did! This has been the best experience I have had a vets office. Elwood, our dog, is a huge baby. He does not like his nails trimmed and usually screams. He did amazing here! No screaming. He loved our vet assistant and he loved our vet Dr. Twigg as well. I have had great vets but none yet have been as understanding about Elwoods need to give kisses as Dr. Twigg was. Our dog is a cuddle bug and he was right at home here. Patty, our cat, is not used to the vet but they did so well with her. I get nervous when taking my pets to the vet and tend to talk a lot. Our vet and vet tech answered all the questions I had and were extremely helpful. The staff deserves a big thank you as well. So many people forget that those manning the desks are the first faces you see and can determine how you feel about a business. The front office staff was amazing. Very friendly! The staff is always friendly, nice & knowledgable. I wish my dang animals would quit getting sick all of the time but it's nice to know that GAH is there for us when we need it. My chihuahua papillon mix was sick last week and had to stay overnight at the vets for IV fluids. I felt totally comfortable leaving him there & they even let my husband & I come visit after we dropped him off, a whole 24 hours before we were even able to pick him up! Read Less

I've had a few experiences at the office. And my pets (now and for the future) will never go anywhere else! My Ted has been gone for 2 years now, but Dr. Twigg was the one to help him cross over to the Rainbow Bridge. After it was all said and done Dr. Twigg gave me the biggest hug and let me cry for a little bit on his shoulder. I couldn't of handled that had it been with anyone else. My dog Shelly has now been transferred to this vet office, and Dr. Twigg has been awesome with helping me take care of her situation. He's very informative and makes sure I understand what's going on. I haven't had a chance to work with Dr. Snyder, but if she's anything like Dr. Twigg this hospital will do some amazing things for animals that really need it!!! Keep up the great work everyone!! I took my dog for the first time. We just move to MO. The vet took the time to throughly examine our pooch.I am very excited to know that this vet is so close to home. I have been through a lot of vets back where I came from just because it always seemed they wanted me to tell them what I wanted looked at.She took the time to find any other issues that may need addressed and gave us more information than we have had before.I recommend the practice to anyone.Update: Once again they go above and beyond.I found two stray dogs over this last weekend and they took the time out to come check for a microchip and look at a bald patch one of the dogs for us.This is the best vet I have ever experienced.
