This review is long overdue, but time gets away and I wanted have the time to sit down and say everything that needs to be said about how well we like Advantage.
The staff at advantage is the best. We have been taking all of our pets there for over 12 years now. They are always friendly and professional. No matter who you talk with, they will take the time to listen to your concerns and will then explain to you any issues so that you can understand what's going on with the pet.
When we had to euthanize our cat James, the Advantage staff made a difficult time a lot easier by talking to us and showing compassion that you know is real.
Without Dr. Giraudo suggesting to start doing blood work on him several years before because of him getting older, we may have not had him with us as long as we did. About three years ago his blood tests showed slight kidney issues. He was put on a special diet and he did great for a couple of years until age and liver problems (this was found on his last blood draw) caught up with him. Not wanting him to suffer, we talked with Dr. Giraudo and Lizzy and ultimately made the difficult decision. After all, quality of life is what we want for all our animals and Advantage is one of our best resources to help us with that.
We still have our other two pets-a cat (Frank) and a dog (Sally). You can bet they will continue to get their care from Advantage.
One last thing to mention is that Dr. Giraudo even took the time to send a condolence card.

Advantage Veterinary Center has been amazing. They immediately took care of my dog, without an appt, when an infection set in from a dog bite. They were busy but took her in, looked after and treated her.
Also, when my cat needed to be put to sleep, they were so compassionate and explained everything in a manner that my children and I could understand. They gave us a generous amount of time to say goodbye before and after. It made the healing process easier for us all. Within 24 hours we received a condolence card with the staffs signature and a post card with our fur babies paw prints. The cremated remains were returned in a beautifully packaged container again with another sincere note.
Follow up call have always been placed by the Vet or a staff member to check in the status of our animals after any illness.
I highly recommend Advantage. Their pricing is fair and their love and compassion for each of their patients and families is in priceless.

We've been coming here since our Malamute was 8 weeks old. Everybody here is so kind (with the exception of one tech, but I won't get into that) and great with our dog. Dr. Schatz is professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Johanson is super compassionate and love how she interacts with our "kids". What I like the most is that after each visit, the doctors call us to check up on the dogs - which is more than what I can say for my own healthcare professionals! Prices are very reasonable and they have let us come in on a very short notice (emergencies). The office itself is so clean and organized. I would definitely recommend this establishment to any of my pet lovers!

I have been bringing my dog Kobe here since I first adopted him 3 years ago. I took my previous dog elsewhere but when he passed and I adopted Kobe, I knew I wanted to go somewhere else. Advantage was recommended to me by friends and I am very pleased! The prices are much more reasonable then my previous vet. Something to consider, unlike my previous veternarian, Advantage has multiple vets. We have seen 2 different vets and both of them have been great. I assume if you like one particular vet you can request to see the same Dr every visit. In addition to veterinary services, I purchase Kobe's dog food here, the prices are very reasonable, and the quality is great. But most importantly, Kobe receives top notch, excellent care! Highly recommend Advantage!

We take all of our animals there and recently had a stray kitten show up at the house injured. I walked in and Heather took the time to look him over and get him the essentials to start him back to getting better. The next day we found him a good home and he is expected to live a normal life, even with a messed up lower lip. A great facilty is made by its great people. Heather is one of the many at Advantage.

We took our beloved Mac there before he passed and they were wonderful. Then when he had complications from surgery and ended up passing away they were amazing. Let us bring the kids up late at night to say our hi and pray with him that he would make it through the night but sadly he didn't. The next day they were so compassionate towards us and did everything they could to help him and our family through that. We just got a puppy and will continue using them for his care now. I highly recommend them for your babies.

Love this place. I had been taking my dogs to Webster Groves Animal Hospital prior, but I much prefer Advantage for convenience and customer experience. They are so nice and kind to my dogs. They always give out treats too after looking at my dogs ears and teeth which isn't always pleasant for her. The treats make the vet visit a little more tolerable them.

If we could, we would rate it a 0 out of 5 stars. The first time we went into this Vet, we fell in love. Heather is a truly nice woman and you can tell she cares a lot about her patients and their furry friends. This second time we went in, was an awful experience. The vet tech that we had this time, a woman whose name i don't feel necessary to post, was very unfriendly and caused our dog pain that was unnecessary to get her for her shots. Our dog yiped and cried for the first time in her 3 months of life. You could tell that it was because Riley was in pain, not because she was "shy" like the vet and vet tech went on to tell us. Our dog has been nothing but loving and welcome to new people. She has even been taken to a couple of our families homes where she has never been before and welcomed everyone with open arms. She runs up to people and wags her little tail every time she meets someone new. I would hate to know how this vet tech treats animals when it is time for an extensive surgery. We get that a vet is a new environment and it is just instinct for all animals to be afraid of the vet, but there was absolutely no need for that vet tech to grab and pinch her collar the way she did and make our dog cry. She even went on with saying "oh stop it you're fine" as if its standard to hurt a puppy who has never been afraid of anyone. At the time of the incident our pup was not even being held down for a procedure, she was simply sitting out of arms reach and she felt it necessary to practically punish her for not coming when called...something that a 3 month old puppy has trouble with in their own home. We will NOT be going back to this vet simply because of the way she treated her. We have nothing bad to say about Heather or any of the other members of the staff. They have always been very welcoming and nice. But the experience we had with this one woman is enough for us to never go back.

They checked him out because he had been itching a lot, probably because of being in the cold weather and traveling, so they prescribed him some medication for 7 days. Everything was affordable and the level of service was great.

I had to take my 3 year old cocker spaniel in for an ear infection, and also a respiraratory infection. I was very pleased with service and patience that the office took, and the veteranarian. He is tempermental sometimes, and since he was not feeling good, he bit the doctor. She was very understanding and good about the situation and kept a very good demeanor. I got my dog from a shelter, and he had been through some things in a puppy mill situation so he takes extra special attention. I would not trade him for anything, and will definitely be a regular customer from now on. The care and understanding that was given was greatly appreciated.Thank you!!

This review is long overdue, but time gets away and I wanted have the time to sit down and say everything that needs to be said about how well we like Advantage.
The staff at advantage is the best. We have been taking all of our pets there for over 12 years now. They are always friendly and professional. No matter who you talk with, they will take the time to listen to your concerns and will then explain to you any issues so that you can understand what's going on with the pet.
When we had to euthanize our cat James, the Advantage staff made a difficult time a lot easier by talking to us and showing compassion that you know is real.
Without Dr. Giraudo suggesting to start doing blood work on him several years before because of him getting older, we may have not had him with us as long as we did. About three years ago his blood tests showed slight kidney issues. He was put on a special diet and he did great for a couple of years until age and liver problems (this was found on his last blood draw) caught up with him. Not wanting him to suffer, we talked with Dr. Giraudo and Lizzy and ultimately made the difficult decision. After all, quality of life is what we want for all our animals and Advantage is one of our best resources to help us with that.
We still have our other two pets-a cat (Frank) and a dog (Sally). You can bet they will continue to get their care from Advantage.
One last thing to mention is that Dr. Giraudo even took the time to send a condolence card.

Advantage Veterinary Center has been amazing. They immediately took care of my dog, without an appt, when an infection set in from a dog bite. They were busy but took her in, looked after and treated her.
Also, when my cat needed to be put to sleep, they were so compassionate and explained everything in a manner that my children and I could understand. They gave us a generous amount of time to say goodbye before and after. It made the healing process easier for us all. Within 24 hours we received a condolence card with the staffs signature and a post card with our fur babies paw prints. The cremated remains were returned in a beautifully packaged container again with another sincere note.
Follow up call have always been placed by the Vet or a staff member to check in the status of our animals after any illness.
I highly recommend Advantage. Their pricing is fair and their love and compassion for each of their patients and families is in priceless.

We've been coming here since our Malamute was 8 weeks old. Everybody here is so kind (with the exception of one tech, but I won't get into that) and great with our dog. Dr. Schatz is professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Johanson is super compassionate and love how she interacts with our "kids". What I like the most is that after each visit, the doctors call us to check up on the dogs - which is more than what I can say for my own healthcare professionals! Prices are very reasonable and they have let us come in on a very short notice (emergencies). The office itself is so clean and organized. I would definitely recommend this establishment to any of my pet lovers!

I have been bringing my dog Kobe here since I first adopted him 3 years ago. I took my previous dog elsewhere but when he passed and I adopted Kobe, I knew I wanted to go somewhere else. Advantage was recommended to me by friends and I am very pleased! The prices are much more reasonable then my previous vet. Something to consider, unlike my previous veternarian, Advantage has multiple vets. We have seen 2 different vets and both of them have been great. I assume if you like one particular vet you can request to see the same Dr every visit. In addition to veterinary services, I purchase Kobe's dog food here, the prices are very reasonable, and the quality is great. But most importantly, Kobe receives top notch, excellent care! Highly recommend Advantage!

We take all of our animals there and recently had a stray kitten show up at the house injured. I walked in and Heather took the time to look him over and get him the essentials to start him back to getting better. The next day we found him a good home and he is expected to live a normal life, even with a messed up lower lip. A great facilty is made by its great people. Heather is one of the many at Advantage.

We took our beloved Mac there before he passed and they were wonderful. Then when he had complications from surgery and ended up passing away they were amazing. Let us bring the kids up late at night to say our hi and pray with him that he would make it through the night but sadly he didn't. The next day they were so compassionate towards us and did everything they could to help him and our family through that. We just got a puppy and will continue using them for his care now. I highly recommend them for your babies.

Love this place. I had been taking my dogs to Webster Groves Animal Hospital prior, but I much prefer Advantage for convenience and customer experience. They are so nice and kind to my dogs. They always give out treats too after looking at my dogs ears and teeth which isn't always pleasant for her. The treats make the vet visit a little more tolerable them.

If we could, we would rate it a 0 out of 5 stars. The first time we went into this Vet, we fell in love. Heather is a truly nice woman and you can tell she cares a lot about her patients and their furry friends. This second time we went in, was an awful experience. The vet tech that we had this time, a woman whose name i don't feel necessary to post, was very unfriendly and caused our dog pain that was unnecessary to get her for her shots. Our dog yiped and cried for the first time in her 3 months of life. You could tell that it was because Riley was in pain, not because she was "shy" like the vet and vet tech went on to tell us. Our dog has been nothing but loving and welcome to new people. She has even been taken to a couple of our families homes where she has never been before and welcomed everyone with open arms. She runs up to people and wags her little tail every time she meets someone new. I would hate to know how this vet tech treats animals when it is time for an extensive surgery. We get that a vet is a new environment and it is just instinct for all animals to be afraid of the vet, but there was absolutely no need for that vet tech to grab and pinch her collar the way she did and make our dog cry. She even went on with saying "oh stop it you're fine" as if its standard to hurt a puppy who has never been afraid of anyone. At the time of the incident our pup was not even being held down for a procedure, she was simply sitting out of arms reach and she felt it necessary to practically punish her for not coming when called...something that a 3 month old puppy has trouble with in their own home. We will NOT be going back to this vet simply because of the way she treated her. We have nothing bad to say about Heather or any of the other members of the staff. They have always been very welcoming and nice. But the experience we had with this one woman is enough for us to never go back.

They checked him out because he had been itching a lot, probably because of being in the cold weather and traveling, so they prescribed him some medication for 7 days. Everything was affordable and the level of service was great.

I had to take my 3 year old cocker spaniel in for an ear infection, and also a respiraratory infection. I was very pleased with service and patience that the office took, and the veteranarian. He is tempermental sometimes, and since he was not feeling good, he bit the doctor. She was very understanding and good about the situation and kept a very good demeanor. I got my dog from a shelter, and he had been through some things in a puppy mill situation so he takes extra special attention. I would not trade him for anything, and will definitely be a regular customer from now on. The care and understanding that was given was greatly appreciated.Thank you!!
