I really like the staff at Imperial Animal Hospital and my dogs always get great care when there is availability. That is my only complaint I have called on several occasions to make arrangements to kennel my dogs or have them groomed and there is never any availability. I have been having to use other another kennel when going on vacation. I have even tried calling a month or two in advance with no luck! Read Less

We went to IAH on the recommendation from a friend. We had a pup injured and they went above and beyond. They cut the cost everywhere they could since my husband and I are on fixed income and they waited so I could borrow some money and we got our Buddy fixed. I recently boarded my senior cat here and there were several issues. There seems to be a problem with communication coming from the people at the intake desk. I requested that my cat be shaved the morning that I was to pick her up. As it turns out, she was shaved very early in her stay. I was disappointed that my wishes were disregarded and my cat was left with the stress of being shaved for the first time in her 18 years alone in her crate with her family not returning for an entire week. Additionally, the staff over fed my cat. She was supposed to receive 1/2 can twice a day. Instead, she was given two cans a day! This can be very dangerous for her as she is a diabetic cat. I spoke to Dr. Bates (Mrs.) and was surprised to find her defensive and rude. She was only interested in defending her employee's actions. She was not at all apologetic and made me feel as though I was the one who had done something wrong. I cannot recommend this practice. Read Less

The office is organized and seems to be clean and well run. Everyone is very nice. They are easy to get a hold of and have taken our calls. We unfortunately had a terrible experience nutuering our male dog and male cat. The healthy male cat after surgery was dead within two days. We have no idea why and there were no signs. This may or may not be related. It sucks though. Our healthy dog has had a terrible time recovering, and a week later still has extensive purple bruising along the entire groin area and what may possibly be poorly done stitches. Not sure, I think he need a few more stitches for better healing. But lose stitches help with scarring and puckering. He has needed around the clock pain meds and can hardly walk. He has had a possible low level infection and antibiotics. We got the recommended scrotal ablation with the surgery. We have had dozens of dogs and cats be fixed in our 20+ year farm life and never have we seen or had anything happen like this. I cannot in good faith recommend going here since we had trouble. I love this animal hospital. The staff is excellent to you and your pet. What I really enjoy is taking my dog to get groomed, first your pet does not mingle with others they have their own cage. Also you have a personal groomer so every time you go back you get the same groomer so your pet becomes accustom to this. They also take a picture so they know how you like your pet hair groomed. ALSO!!! The vet does a quick check over your pet as they get groomed. Excellent prices as well. Yearly shots and checkups they have great packages at an affordable price. Read Less

So we waited too long to reserve a stay at Imperial Animal Hospital over Christmas. We were put on a wait list and this morning we received the best Christmas present. I've been a long time customer now. This is, by far, the best vet office I've been a customer of. I attribute this mostly to the owner, Dr. Bates. He is the most caring and honest vet I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. He hires the most courteous and helpful staff. We had our first visit this week even though our big guy Gus had been taken there before by our daughter. Our experience was so great from calling to make the appointment to making our follow-up appointment! All the staff were so personable! I had been going to a more local vet for years with my animals from the past and other two cats (this is a house of three cats), but from now on everyone will be going to Imperial Animal Hospital even though it's a little further for us! I recently had the heartbreaking decision of giving my dear sweet Cheyenne over to Heaven. Anyone who has ever had to make the decision to let their fur baby go knows how hard this is. From the moment we arrived the staff at Imperial Animal Hospital were incredible. They done everything possible to help us through this process, from what was going to happen to letting us spend our last moments with her. The best by far vet / boarding facility I have encountered.They have never not been able to see my dogs on short notice for illness. Doctors Emo, Worth and Church have all treated my dogs with nothing less than loving tender care. They treat your animals like their own.Their diagnosis and treatment is always dead on with great results.The boarding side is fantastic. The 2 dogs love to be together and they accommodate the need. They get excercise, fed regularly with vitamins and prescriptions administered to your directions.They are bathed for weeklong stays.Pics of them are posted or emailed to you. This is the vet I've been going to for years with multiple animals. The staff is always so kind. I don't know if any of them have a mean bone in them! They always go above and beyond. All the doctors are professional. But Dr. Worth and Dr. Church are exceptional. They don't think of your dogs as just dogs and they understand that they are part of the family. I would give FIVE stars. The reason why I gave 2 stars is because of one of the receptionist. I can't remember her name but she's older with the curly blond hair. If you make an appointment with her, you have to state a specific problem. If you come on the day itself and tell her your pet has additional problems, she would tell you to make another appointment for the additional problem. Dafuq! You are not the vet! Read Less

This is the most awesome place you could ever choose to board your pet. We travel a LOT and our big boy Golden Retriever is such a baby. But he gets lots of hugs and loves with plenty of people time. I appreciate them taking one dog at a time for play time--safer and healthier. They are so tuned into the needs of each pet. The doctors (we've seen Dr. Turner and Dr. Worth, and I know we saw another doctor, but I cannot remember which one) are great because they are very caring toward myself and my dog and my huge compliment on their entire organization is that they always try to answer any question I have to the fullest and to make sure I understand and am comfortable with my knowledge of the situation when I leave the office or get of the telephone. They have gone above my expectations several times by reaching out to me after the initial contact to check on my animal and see if I had all the information I needed and/or asked for. They have online accounts so you can see your recent visits and information on your pet and they have long hours which makes it convenient to set appointments or to make an emergency visit, if needed, in the evenings. When our regular vet didn't open until ten I decided to take a chance and go to Imperial Animal Hospital. It is right by my work and every day I drive by and see dogs playing outside in the yard and it is the highlight of my morning. When I walked in as soon as they opened without an appointment they fit me in diagnosed my boston in a few minutes and we were off with two medicines. It was really clean and nice and also very inexpensive. The workers were absolutely the friendliest you could ask for. Okay, While some people don't consider their pet's to be kids... Well this person here does. I've got two of the crazies cats around. One of them thinks he is a dog and the other is afraid of her own shadow. (Both are another story all together). I've been comming here for years to get them all checked out to their little kitty's heart content. I must say that they are very, very very patient with my boy gus, he's a little wiggy when he sees the carrier come out and has bitten a few of the poor people there. They also did a wonderful job when he was hurt badly and they got him all back up to snuff! I have never wriiten a review for anyone before, but Imperial Animal Hospital is worth me taking the time. The staff is very friendley and careing and truely love what they are doing. I had a sick dog that i rushed in there the staff quickly got him to the back and did everything they could to help them, they treated my pet the same way they would treat one of there own. they even stayed four hours after they closed to help my dog. All I can say is Dr. Wallach is amazing!! I am the proud mother of two adorable little pugs (Ninja, who is black and Samurai, who is fawn/tan) and if you are familiar with this breed they are extremely michievious and rambunctious, always getting into EVERYTHING!! Well you name it and Ninja has gotten into it, he has had many trips to the emergency vet in the middle of the night and I have made many calls to Imperial animal hospital with random questions regarding my puggies. In February of 2008 Ninja ate a leaf off of a peace lilly on a visit to my mothers, needless to say his liver started to fail and he could not stop throwing up. Dr Wallach did everything she could for him and ME! She was so familiar with our little family that she knew I was worried sick and always was completely honest and down to earth. She knew exactly how to ease my frustration and at the time saddness. Ninja was in the intensive care for about 2 full weeks and only got to come home a couple of times in the evening to sleep at home and them had to return the next morning at 8:00 sharp to be put back on IV fluids. Dr. Wallach went the extra mile to find out what was wrong with him and after thousands of dollars later Ninja fully recovered and finnaly got to come home for good!! She is my personal favorite vet at the Imperial Animal Hostipal and if you are looking for a relatealble vet than she is your gal! When all of the vet techs and receptionist thought I was crazy she did not. She saved our Ninja and I truley think she is the best!!!! Read Less
