Love this place and the people. Dr. Schweitzer is phenomenal with his patients and their human parents. I always feel like our family is part of his family. He's helped us through long illnesses, heart breaking losses and continuous loving palliative care. It's obvious he loves his profession. We try to schedule when Dr. Schweitzer is at Animed in Blue Springs, but will drive the few extra miles for his expertise and love of our pets. The staff is great there as well. Read Less

Took my cat there and they found he had an infection and had lost a lot of weight. They gave me antibiotics to help him and I am happy to say he is eating well, gaining weight and even playing again. I highly recommend Crysler Animal Hospital! Read Less

Be prepared to pay extra fees for nothing. Took my 12 year old lab who is literally on her last leg for her rabies shot. Forced to pay an extra 44$ for a “well check”. Asked multiple times for them to not do the test. I know she’s old and on her last leg. I don’t need to pay 44$ for them to tell me that. Place is just too high with phony fees. So, earlier this year I moved here from Texas with a cat with chronic respiratory issues. For years we've had to do monthly visits to get shots just to keep it under control. Which wasn't cheap. Brought my cat here to see Dr. Ray and she had a different solution that no other doctors ever mentioned to me. And it's been working great! No more monthly visits and my cat is living comfortably. She also recommended my cat to be on a different diet to help her flaky skin and that's helped too! Seriously good doctors here. You can't go wrong with any of them. Doctor failed to give me accurate advice for my dog. She gave the impression that my min pin had more time to live. My dog actually had less than 10 days to live. The doctor basically milked me for money over charging for expensive medications, services that had not been agreed to including expensive medication. She failed to inform me of blood work (received on a Saturday) indicating my dog's blood sugar of 500 (diabetes ketoacidosis) until Monday failed to indicate critical care for dog until that Friday. Informed by doctor to monitor blood sugar every hour for 12 hours before insulin could be adjusted. (The dog's blood sugar was 740. Fast acting insulin not suggested only an after hours hospitalization for $3500 to $5000 fee. My dog died 8 hrs later. Informed the doctor, no condolence or anything established from doctor or staff after calling office. Cruel and heartless service. Service is not for me. Would not recommend. I paid over $500 for services btw. Nothing can replace the pain of my experience. Also, office is still charging me for a $60 for an a service not agreed on. I must pay to avoid credit damage. I have been taking my 11 year old Bichon to this animal hospital for several years. This is the cleanest animal Hospital I have ever seen. The veterinarians and staff are the best! When my Bichon had to have knee surgery, they took excellent care of him. I would highly recommend them! Read Less

I have been taking my dogs and cats to Dr. Schweizer with this group for over 15 years. They are professional and caring across the board. The techs are always friendly and treat my pets with love. The prices are fair, and Dr. Schweizer has always given my pets extraordinary care. We have had to have treatment for everything from UTIs on our cats and yeast infections on our dogs to major surgeries, and they have been wonderful. We wouldn't go anywhere else! We used to live in Blue Springs but moved to Columbia. I make the trip back to Blue Springs at least twice a year for check ups on the animals because we are loyal to this clinic. they have treated a number of our animals and done a wonderful job for years! We first tried them when I couldn't get an appointment with our current vet at the time. They were very considerate and got us in and over time we switched all our animals to them. Have been very pleased with the care-response-communication - friendliness as well as the clinic and cost. Having had bad experiences other places this is a place I feel I want to recommend. When we had to have one of our dogs put down they were extremely considerate and caring giving me all the time I needed with Buddy and sat on the floor next to us assuring me and informing me throughout the process. I am from out of town and had to go in for an emergency, they were able to get me as soon as possible. Right as a walked in, they were enthusiastic and kind about the situation. I didn't wait for more than 5 minutes before my dog was seen by the vet. They handled everything professionally as well as saying kind words to my dog who was shaking and scared with horrible hives. The women that work here are so nice!  It's a well kept facility.  I have taken my cat and dog.  They are organized and kind.  I do find that $250 for a canine dental service is an abnormally high price point.  So I would check other facilities for this service. Read Less
