I took my GS Norman to be groomed at Hidden Valley, I dropped him off at around 8:30 am , I verified what he was having done and my contact number. At 11:34 am I called because I hadn't received a call from them yet, I thought that they closed at 12:00 per the website, they told me Norman wasn't done yet. I told her that I wanted to make sure I was there to get him before they close at twelve, she corrected me and said that they don't close until three o'clock and that they would call me when he was done. I waited, 3:00, still not call, I thought maybe they were backed up and still finishing with the dogs, no biggie, I will just head up there and wait, I tried calling while en-route, no answer, called again, still no answer, called again, got the "were closed" message. I went into panic mode, I knew that I had not missed a call from them, I had my phone with me all day and had been checking. When I pulled into the lot there were three cars, I thought, yeah they were just backed up, all is good, until I saw the CLOSED sign on the door. I jumped out of my car, knocked on the door, nothing, no one in site, I pounded on the door, I went to the clinic entrance door, pounded, went to the side door, saw a door bell, I rang and rang and rang, I could hear Norman barking, I was sick to my stomach. I circled the building again still pounding on all the doors, I went to my car and honked the horn, I knew there had to be someone still there, because of the cars. During all this I manage to get the number to the Vet, I call leave two frantic messages about the situation. I called my daughter and she suggested I call the police, I was doing all this while knocking on every door and peering in every window. Finally, I saw someone, she was just sort of standing in a hallway, I wouldn't have seen her if I hadn't been peering in the windows. I told her"you have my dog Norman, no one called me", she tried explaining through the glass that they had called me and my line had been busy, then they had called another number and got voice message, she said she couldn't open the door, that she couldn't help me. After a few moments of me pleading with her to give me my dog and swearing that I hadn't gotten a call, she came to one of the back doors and stepped outside. After a lot of insisting on both our parts of what had or had not happened, she said that she had called her manager and that there was nothing they could do and that she, the girl, couldn't take money from me because she was just the cleaning crew. I finally told her that I had left two messages with the Veterinarian and that I would wait until he called me back but that I wasn't leaving without my Norman. She agreed to call the manager back and goes back inside and about this time my daughter arrives, then the girl comes back out and says the manager will come and let me have Norman. While we waited I checked my phone again, no missed calls from anyone, I hadn't been on the phone, the girl had said the line was busy, I have call waiting, my stupid phone, I felt like hurling the piece of crap across the parking lot, I figured there must be something wrong with it. I couldn't stop blaming myself for not just coming up there to see what was going on sooner, why had I taken their word that they would call me. The manager arrives and the first thing she said was, "we close at three o'clock you know, I mean you think you would know....", I took a deep breath and thought she's right, I apologized to her for any inconvenience this had caused her got Norman and left. It turns out, there wasn't anything wrong with my phone, the other number they had tried to call was my husbands, his ringer was on mute he wasn't expecting a call, I was. There were 3 missed calls on his phone starting at 2:48 and ending at 3:15, they had tried calling but on the wrong phone number. Not sure why they didn't answer when I tried calling them, I know they were there because they were still attempting to call the wrong number. Read Less
