We took our newly acquired dog to see Dr. Roberts last week. As a shelter dog, we knew very little about her past health and medical issues. Because she showed so much anxiety at being examined by strangers, it was recommended - and might I add right so for the best interest of Bella's mental health - to return so that she could be sedated for a complete and thorough exam. I understand that people want to know ahead of time exactly what services will cost, I do too, but sometimes it is impossible to predict what all will or will not be found on complete examination. Balance that with wanting the best for your dog and it can put dog owners in a predicament. However, for me, doing what is best for my dog will always win out. I will NEVER blame Dr. Roberts or her clinic staff for not knowing exactly to the penny what services will cost ahead of time. Several issues were discovered upon sedation that required - REQUIRED - medical treatment but my dog is in better health today because of Dr. Roberts' expert advice on a coarse of not only treatment, but examination. I have read some of these reviews, and I can assure you, that anyone complaining about this clinic's pricing is just uneducated on the value of veterinarian services. NO vet can accurately predict what a dental examination will cost because there is no way to know what they will find until the animal is sedated and they can examine the teeth. I just shake my head at reviews complaining about such things. I will take my animals to Dr. Roberts as long as I have animals - she has been treating my animals for at least eight years and I have NEVER known her to overcharge or have less than the best interest of my animals in mind. Dr. Roberts is super knowledgeable and really takes the time to listen and assess your concerns about your fur-baby. I took my dog in for a swollen foot and they were accommodating with a last minute appointment and attentive to my concerns. Everyone's vibe is cheerful and relaxed. Heather is an energetic office manager, she answers the phone with the best attitude even if the waiting room is full of barking dogs. Wow, it's almost been a year since this company tried to scam me. I would never had remembered the anniversary of your office trying to rip me off if you hadn't sent me a reminder card (hint: take me off your mailing list). Customers beware. This office will tell you one price up front and then change it as soon as you bring your pet in for whatever service or operation they are going to be getting. For instance I was told last year that my dog's teeth cleaning would be $200. I asked two or three times if that price was right and I was assured it was. Then when I brought my pup in for a teeth cleaning they basically told me it would be $350 if I actually wanted the procedure done safely. $200 is if you are cool with gambling your pet's life. In short, these guys are bait and switch scam artists. Avoid them. Read Less

My fur son Java had to stay here for 7 nights and almost 8 days. He had eaten part of a towel/blanket at his boarding place when we were out of town and we took him here, they did multiple x-rays and really monitored him well. He is back to his normal self! He seemed to love this place and I love Dr. Roberts. She was very informative and positive. Though my husband and I came in the first day in so much despair and sadness that he may need surgery, she took it day by day with us by not jumping to surgery since he was getting better and better. The staff there is super friendly, and Jean, who is pictured here putting Java back in his kennel who took them on walks and cooked for them was so helpful, gracious and kind. Java seemed to really like her and she even offered to make him an omelette with the stuff I brought him because he was having issues with eating and she was so kind to him and I can tell he really was comfortable there and was well cared for. Also I noticed that Jean and whoever else there kept the facility really nice and clean. Java had made the floors all messy with his slobbering and when I left for a walk with him and came back, she not only had emptied the trash already but also mopped up the floor. Dr. Roberts and her staff at BWAC are extremely helpful and loving towards my cat, Sammy. Dr. Robert's commitment to making sure Sammy heals properly from his procedure, and going above and beyond what might be normal for most cats, to make sure of it. My sister recommended me to the ACBS to have my cat declawed. I was very nervous about having this procedure done to my cat. The Doctor at the clinic was understanding and I could tell she would take very good care of my cat Sammy. The Doctor kept Sammy for a full week because of his size. She felt he needed extra time to heal because he is a large cat. The clinic was very glad to receive my calls checking up on Sammy's' progress. Overall, I am very pleased with the results of Sammy's surgery, and I am looking forward to his follow up visit, in hopes that he is healing as well as expected. Read Less

Panda, my 9 month old English Bulldog pup, is an amazing bundle of energy. Anything not quicker then her is instant food. A few weeks ago she decided go to war with a shower sponge, the sponge lost but so did Panda. The folks at Boardwalk were great. They got her in right away and kept her overnight to make sure the sponge had made a timely exit. Panda is back to normal and we now have a sponge on a rope hanging up. I really like this clinic. I've used them a couple times now. Last week my dog seemed to have an eye infection, and they were able to get him in the next day - which I appreciated. They gave great care to Moses and are always really helpful. The clinic is clean and right off Barry road so super convenient for us Northlanders. It did end up costing me over $100 just for the visit and some eye drops which I felt was a bit much, but I have no idea how that compares to other providers. But his eye is much improved now, and that is what matters most to me! Read Less

The care for your pet doesn't get any better than Dr Roberts and her team at Boardwalk Square! My dog Otis got into some rat poison after hours, the emergency vet didn't calm my nerves at all. I visited your clinic on Saturday for an appointment with Dr. Winters and learned that my senior dog would best be helped by pain medications. Dr. Roberts was kind enough to fit us in her schedule and gave my senior dog a very thorough exam. I am thankful for the patience of the staff and Dr. Roberts. I have been researching a more holistic, healthy approach to medicine for for my family & my dogs. I found Dr. Linda Faris and she was closer than I expected! She addresses my concerns and explains options that I have been looking into. She is very caring with my fur babies and they are less stressed seeing her than past visits to the vet. Update 2/15/17: My once very sick Australian Shepherd puppy is now 2 years old and thriving. I never thought we would see her healthy again but with Dr Roberts help she is very healthy again. Dr Roberts has continued to be extremely helpful when it comes to my 9 1/2 year old Cocker Spaniel and minor arthritis. We noticed her walking slower and having trouble jumping up about a year ago and with Dr Roberts help, she acts like a young pup again, running around and constantly playing with toys! Dr Roberts, Heather, and the rest of the wonderful staff have been so great to us. I have recently started bringing my 10 month old Australian Shepherd and my 8 year old Cocker Spaniel to Animal Clinic of Boardwalk Square and I have nothing but great things to say about them. Our old vet left us without answers as to why my aussie was so thin and sick but with the help of Dr. Faris, she is a new dog and continues to put on weight. She has been nothing short of amazing for us. Dr. Roberts has seen both my dogs and I can tell she thinks highly of my animals and really cares. I cannot say enough kind words about my experience with Animal Clinic of Boardwalk Square. The staff are very professional and courteous. I have the most experience with Dr. Faris as she cared for my previous beloved pet and gave us two quality years with him that we would not have had if it had not been for the excellent care he received. My current furry friend is now receiving the same care and I know is getting the best care he possibly can. Dr. Roberts has also given some great advice when needed.
