Have had to use this emergency vet for my chihuahua a few times. It's a little pricey but understandable, it's an emergency clinic. Took very good care of my dog and I will bring any future pets here if need be. Read Less

My little girl Luna was sick again and when the Vet is closed Animal Emergency is the only place we trust to make her all better and calm our fears. When all hope was almost lost they once kept her in an incubator for 15 nights to save her life. It's been almost 2 years since then and we relied on them again for emergency care. I had their names written down on a business card but I already lost it! My cat got attacked by an animal and I thought he was going to die. I called them late on a Sunday and they told me to bring him in. They were extremely knowledgeable and polite. This place is not only a joke but a rip off as well. My daughter has a very sick dog this week. He was throwing up and wouldn't drink or eat. They put up a bill that was for 776.00. She ended up only doing a few of the test and still gave them everything she had 500.00. Then proceeded to tell her that the doctor had passed away and they were selling the business so they needed to make as much as they could, basically telling a naive 21 year old why their ripping her off. Then told her that if she was not going to continue care for him after he left they would just put him down. They told us a bunch of shit that didn't make sense to us, making it seem as though he was on deaths door. They said his liver and kidneys were failing. They didn't give him the proper amount of fluids for a dog they said was in shock. They sent us a bag of fluid yet didn't share how we should hook it up properly.  It's probably for the best they close this should be the last ppl you should take your animal to. Read Less

Arrived at clinic approximately 10 pm; met immediately by Lisa who listened to our concerns about my dog (who was in great pain without clear cause). The vet, Dr. Gants, then discussed symptoms with us and he listened carefully, assessed the situation and ask probing questions to determine the likely source of pain. He suggested course of action for the evening and Lisa then reviewed pain meds I'd been prescribed by regular vet for any dangerous interaction with shots they were going to give my dog. They were efficient, kind and for the consultation and care given, the price was very reasonable. My dog rested comfortably through the night and I will be following up with my vet for the next steps. I'd certainly recommend this facility to anyone with after hours pet care!! Read Less

I took my black lab to him who had been shot by my malicious neighbor with a 40 caliber pistol around noon one o clock this guy was awesome. He worked diligently to figure out what was wrong with her and how bad she was he got her pain under control pretty quickly. The front desk lady was very nice and generous these are very honest reliable people, I thank them so much to have my dog still alive! They will work with u income wise I am a family of five, and they actually were more than generous to discount my total bill I owed. Awesome people, awesome animal care :) Read Less

Do not take your Animal here unless your wealthy.  I called them desperate to get my service dog seen and they turned me away because I could not come up with the full amount.  They do not care about animals or their health, they do not care about the health and well being of their handlers who depend on service animals in matters of life and death.  Many Veterans rely on PTSD dogs to coexist in society, but Animal Emergency Center does not care if you laid down your life for this country or if not having the dog around is life threatening.   Animal Emergency Center should be ashamed of this greedy behavior, and I truly hope that no one has lost any animal service or otherwise because of it. The nighttime vet is awesome. He's down to earth, kind, reasonable, tells you what he's thinking. The place looks like it could use a face-lift, but by not over embellishing on design, he can keep his costs lower. It's about the vet care, not the paint. Read Less

I showed up with a dog that had been hit by a car. I went in to explain the situation and let them know that I needed help to get him out of the truck. I was told there were 8 people ahead of me and I would have to wait. An hour later I was still waiting for help so I decided to bring him up the road to BluePearl where they immediately went to the truck with a gurney and rushed him back to be checked. You are an emergency vet some situations might just be a little more important than others and first come first served doesn't always work in an emergency situation. Read Less

This past weekend, we had to make the horrible, difficult decision to put our beloved dog to sleep. Our usual vet had already closed up shop for the weekend, and as this wasn't something that could wait until Monday, they suggested that we go to Animal Emergency Center. And while the whole experience was emotionally awful for us, the vet and vet tech at the Center were so kind and compassionate that they definitely deserve 5 stars.They got us in right away, and let me do the paperwork while my husband sat with our dog in the car. They made sure that we knew what to expect with the procedure, explained our options when it came to having Sadie cremated, and let me pay up front so that we could simply leave after saying our goodbyes instead of having to deal with all of that after the fact. They made things as easy as possible for grieving pet parents, which I truly appreciated. They set up the closest room for us and also let us bring in our own blanket for Sadie to lie on, which was able to stay with her.When it was time to put her to sleep, they let us stay in the room, called Sadie by name, and petted her as they gently eased her suffering. The vet let us know when she was gone, and we were allowed to stay with her for as long as we needed to, so that we could say our goodbyes.This was a hard review to write, but I think it's important to let people know that places like this exist, and that you'll get the compassionate care that you need, not only for your pet, but also for yourself. Don't ever take your pet to this place. There is a vet that works there that refused to treat dogs if they bark. I had a scared, sick dog I took there, and when barged in the room with an attitude, she barked once, I was told to "control my dog" even though there was no issue. He would not even listen to my problem, and refused to treat my dog. When I spoke with the owner to complain he acted as if he could care less. Read Less

Thank god places like this exist. We had a little accident with our dog last night. Actually a big accident, involving a truck hitting her and speeding off. After finding her hiding spot, i immediately googled "emergency animal hospitals" and this place popped up. Being that I'm in the River Market, i figured this would be the closest i could find and we got her there ASAP.They were friendly, and immediately able to help her. I was worried it'd be like a human waiting room, and we'd be there for an hour before we could get her into a doctor, but sure enough, 5 minutes after walking in the door she was being examined. They were calm and caring towards the dog and towards (a slightly frantic) me. Thankfully nothing was seriously damaged, and they had her in and out of surgery in under 2 hours. I hope i never have to use their services again, but if i do, i would certainly bring my dog to Animal Emergency Center. Read Less
