Needed to get my dog groomed and they are the only place who could get us an appt within a few days. Now I realize why. My dog looked like a large rat. My kids screamed when they saw her. I can't say enough good things about this veterinarian. The entire staff is so friendly and compassionate. They are not only affordable but in my opinion are the best at what they do. I followed them from their other location. They always work around our schedule (including weekends). The location is really convenient and located right off highway 40. There's plenty of parking and the waiting room is nicely sized and is always clean. They definitely are great with time management and have never kept us waiting long. That's a huge benefit for us! Since I have a Rottweiler they take the extra time to not schedule anyone before or after us by 15 minutes. They are very caring and treat both of my dogs as I'd imagine they'd treat their own. Requires Bordatella every 6 months and my schnauzer gets her shots exactly as she is supposed to. Rude front desk.My vet said Bordatella isn't necessary every 6 months and frankly, I want my 14 year old schnauzer around and not over or under vaccinated. I keep up her shots as I have to. I don't like it when non veterinarians suggest over vaccinating my dogs. I will go elsewhere for grooming. Read Less

I have 2 dogs. One is a schnauzer, one is a mix of chihuahua and bird dog. The mix only requires nail care and he is pesty about it.The schnauzer needs pampering and grooming to maintain the cut. She is 14, and we keep up her vaccinations. My last schnauzer was allergic to certain vaccine mixes so I now space them out on all my schnauzers. My groomer I loved retired and so far most every groomer we;ve tried has been a miss.First of all, the groomer told me to have the dog there at 8. I said, "My dogs don't get up that early." (It sounds bunk, but I get up at 6:15, and my dogs don't get up that early.) I asked if I needed to bring anything. She said, "Vaccine papers." Then she gave a time to pick her up: 2:00 or 4:00.I went to the vet to get the vaccine papers, making sure she is current as this is a new groomer. My mom took my dog to Arrowhead Veterinary services at 8: 00, and the front desk lady said they can't groom my dog. She doesn't have all her vaccines. Apparently some groomers require certain vaccines every 6 months. My dog got so upset, she peed on the floor there which she doesn't do. The lady at the desk said, "There are too many dogs here in and out." Apparently she was as rude in person as on the phone to me.My mom got home and we were both surprised. Not only by the rudeness but by demanding our dog gets an extra shot and they are not veterinarians. I called my vet who said, "No, Bordatella (sorry if I spelled that wrong), is only required once a year." Well, I won't be going back to Arrowhead for anything. They need to improve on customer service. Unfortunately I still don't have a groomer except for the one with our vet who is so/so. Read Less

Love the docs, love the staff, love the day care, love the kennel options. I hate leaving my dogs, but if I have to, this is the place. The docs have Boxers, and we do too, so it's a great fit for us. Read Less

I love this place, they have always taken great care of my babies. They have been busy but have always found the time to call me back and answer all my questions. I brought my dogs for boarding and was a little nervous leaving them but the staff was so kind and my pups loved them the minute we walked in the door. I really liked the play yards and how the staff took pictures and posted them on Facebook so i could check on my dogs while i was gone it was great seeing the staff interact and see the play groups. This is the best place to kennel a dog. I feel like the staff really cares about Prudence. They never complain about the amount of medications she takes, and she never comes back traumatized. I won't go anywhere else. Read Less

I have been using Arrowhead Vet for years now and have always had a wonderful experience. Saddly, yesterday I had to put my beloved dog to sleep. The staff did an EXCELLENT job of making it a very comforting and "nice" experience. They even offered to give me a paw print to remember her by. I would recommend this group to anybody out there. Love that there's a place like this close to home. I don't trust many people to care for our girls, but feel ok leaving them here every year when we vacation. They enjoy the boarding staff and we always hear stories about them and their interactions when we pick them up. Very happy and have recommended them to many friends. Read Less
