I'm disgusted and appalled at this so called scam of a place that masquerades as a veterinarian office. I took my cat to have a bump on her head looked at, and I know as much about it now as I did prior to taking her there. My first issue: I stood at the check in desk waiting for Hannah and Joyce to finish their conversation. Joyce turned her back to the desk facing Hannah while they both discussed whatever was more important then checking me and my cat in for her appointment. My second issue: Amanda came in and told me my cat was obese, yes I know that but I'm here for a medical problem, and how she wanted to get her on prescription food. I told her I didn't remember the brand I was advised before but it should be in their computer because my other cat comes here. Well, wouldn't you know it, they couldn't find that information. Amanda then proceeded to tell me that for $400.00ish I could enroll her in a Active Prevention Wellness program, and additional 24.00ish a month they could add on PLUS Active Prevention Services ..I wish I could remember it all but she threw a bunch of figures at me. She said these programs covered vaccinations, x-rays for preventive care, dental cleanings, blood work, BUT it didn't cover medical problems. Amanda listened to her heart for 5 seconds and then told me my cat was probably miserable because she's so obese and told me how to go about changing her feeding schedule and even though she may look happy she's miserable because of her weight. Then the above program was discussed again, more briefly this time. Amanda pulled up the program on the computer and said, oh yeah there is a start up price of $38.00 and some monthly fee, all of this was a year contract. My third issue: the doctor comes in and BIG SURPRISE, says oh my, you are a big kitty. (My cat is 15lbs, big but not something to write home about). She said Amanda was really excited to talk to me about her being overweight and how to fix it. The dr. looks at the bump for 10-15 seconds and says yeah, I think it's a sebaceous cyst and for $1000.00 they could cut it out, and send it away for biopsy, or, for $250.00 they could "skirt around it" and put her under to clean her teeth and cut it out and send it for biopsy which would be around $400.00 and save myself a couple hundred dollars, OR I could purchase the Wellness program and then I'd only have to pay the additional $400.00 for sending it to be biopsied while she was under for her dental cleaning. I told her financially this wasn't feasible. She said well you could watch it and try antibiotics. I opted for that. She priced out an injection which cost $72.00 ( which she LOVED,) or oral antibiotics which was $32.00. She said she hadn't priced out antibiotics for a cat as obese as mine in a long time. (I get it!!! My cat is fat, I knew that!!!) Finally my last issue: all was fine checking out, final bill was $107.51. Here comes Amanda. She pulls out a calculator to calculate how much food my giant, offensively obese cats should be eating. As she's doing the calculations I look at the package and say, "about 2/3 cup?" She pushed a bunch of buttons and says, "yeah, about 2/3 cup". She said to bring them back in for a weight check in a few months. Yeah right, I'M NEVER COMING BACK!!! You people don't give a shit about anyone's animals. You're only out for money. You're strictly a business who impersonates a veterinarians office. I'll be finding a better, caring, less corporate place for my cats future visits. Read Less
