Today I had to do one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do and say goodbye to my best friend. He was a Boston Terrier named Gizzmo and he was my world for over 15 years. Dr. Roach has alawys been his vet and the love and support they gave me through this process was unbelievable. This vet and his staff have always treated my boy with such love and amazing care. Have been going here for over 14 years for all of my kiddos. Have always taken great care of my dogs. All of the employees have been around for awhile and are always so friendly and helpful. Dr. Roach always gives advice and his recommendations but is never one to make you feel pressured into doing something you’re not comfortable with. Great place! Dr. Roach is an excellent vet he took care of our baby Casper for 12 years. That wasn't always easy because our Dog Kasper did not like strangers and would growl at people he did not know but dr. Roach was not put off by his growling he wasn't scared of him like some vets would be. He just ignored his growing and showed no fear and talk nice to him and would get through the visit unscaved. Recently when my dog got lymphoma and had to be put down him and his staff was very kind considerate and gentle about everything made this very heartbreaking experience as easy as they possibly could for me and I thank them from the bottom of my heart . Dr. Roach and his staff have been caring my my pup, Lola for almost 12 years. Lola earned her doggy wings yesterday due to advanced heart disease. Dr. Roach and his staff were so kind, considerate and caring when discussing and explaining our options. They went above and beyond to give us all the time we needed to say our goodbyes. Their compassion for our 4-legged family members is exceptional. Although Lola is greatly missed, we are looking forward to adding another chihuahua to our family. Dr Roach is amazing. He truly is an animal lover himself. I've been taking my animals there for years however wanted to share an experience I just had when my 13 year old cat broke her leg. I took her in the first time and she was taken care of with love and compassion by every single member of the staff. They truly loved her. She is pretty special however not everyone has to think so. Money was an issue for me but my baby girl kitty was never treated different due to this. I had to bring her back several times for follow ups to check the cast and have it changed. They didn't charge me for the follow up visits. I don't know many places that would do that. Also had to add they put a bling on her cast once. So cute. I won't go anywhere else!! They followed up on her so many times and it wasn't like they were reading from a script. They are all animal lovers. And the staff told me Dr Roach is als wonderful To work for. Love. Dr. Roach and his staff are amazing people. I cannot begin to thank them enough for the help the provided me with my English Mastiff. I was traveling cross country from coast to coast and then back again. Rubble came down with a terrible hot spot along his neck, back and face as he was not used to the east and mid-west humidity. At 150lbs he is hard to handle when he was in pain and would not let me clean the infection up. after a fight with sedation Dr. Roach and I were able to gas him into a good enough slumber so that we could get the area cleaned up and taken care of. If it was not for his kindness that he showed me I would not have the piece of mind that I have now that my big boy is gonna be just fine for the last leg of our trip back home. Our family has been going here for about 5 years, and the service is exceptional. The vet and each of his staff couldn't be better. Very attentive, kind, and you can tell they each have a genuine love of what they do. Our beloved aging cat had to be put down last year and the doctor was very compassionate. Before then, our cat always hated any other vets we went to, and we tried several. Most other vets and staff didn't have the patience to deal with him. This office though was very patient and even though he still didn't like going to the vet, he would at least let them work on him here without having a panic attack. Our other cat who is alive and well and our dog are both regular customers and don't mind the office visit one bit. We moved out of the neighborhood a few months ago but still continue to go here even though it's out of our way, and will continue to do so. Highest recommendation I can give. Read Less

Dr. Roach and his team are an absolute pleasure. When my fiancee and I moved into our home on N Eugene Field Rd we had no idea we'd be in for such a treat!! I knew after my first visit there that we'd easily develop a lasting relationship with this clinic. We always begin our appointments with Emily, she's one of the sweetest techs I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with! You can tell she loves what she does and she truly cares about our pets. She asks how they're doing every time and she talks to them and just has such a great personality overall. Dr. Roach comes in soon after and he always greets us with the warmest smile! Really, he cares so much and he really does his best to ensure that our pets get relief ASAP. I can ask ANY question and he answers without making me feel silly or wrong. He's great to work with. We take all of our cats to see him...we've got SIX! Honestly, I can't say enough good things about this place. I love each person we come in contact with. I live up the street from this facility. At first, I wasn't quite sure what to think. A small town vet clinic...you could have a great one or...not. Dr. Roach and his staff have exceeded my expectations!!! I've lived here for over a year now, and Dr. Roach sees ALL of my cats and I've never once had a complaint about my visits. Each time we're treated like family. It's really refreshing to know that everyone here is compassionate and they truly care about the health of the animals. I WAS a faithful customer of CAH but after many years of ridiculous charges, I left and I haven't been back. I don't like Dr. Roach. I wouldn't recommend him, unless you want high cost for low quality care. In my opinion, he doesn't like cats, and since that's all I ever brought to him I've seen this first hand. Read Less

I've been taking my two cats to Claycomo Animal Hospital for about a year and a half now. I've thought they were very pleasant until I called today. My cat has had flees for the last week or so and I can't seem to get them cleared up. I called and asked the receptionist if I could talk to someone for a minute regarding if I can give baths after flee treatments and if I'm missing something that could kick this battle once and for all and she told me I would need to schedule a visit with the doctor. I explained that my cat has severe anxiety in cars so I try to avoid taking her in unless absolutely necessary and that I simply had a couple quick questions that a vet tech could help me with. She explained that vet techs don't take calls even though I talked to a vet tech in the past regarding a simple question. She then wished me luck in an overly friendly voice. A little shocked I replied, "ummm wow. Ok. Thanks?" And in the same overly friendly voice said, "you're welcome. Call if you need an appointment." The entire belief of this practice is that your pets are a part of your family. When something is going on with your child and you simply need a quick piece of advice there is always a nurse available to answer the question or give a call back. I would expect the primary vet for my two cats to be able to answer a quick question or two in order to solve a health problem when setting up an appointment and driving over isn't necessarily needed. They will not be seeing my cats again. Read Less

Dr. Roach and his staff are amazing. They are always so kind and caring towards me and my dog, they have taken not good but great care of us each time we've come in. I could not recommend a veterinarian and business higher than them. I'd give them higher than 5 stars if that was an option. We came from the Animal Clinic of Antioch Annex where the vet was nice, but his staff (Michelle, the woman at the desk who deals with you) was so rude, condescending, mean and disrespectful, we decided to never go back and then looked for a new vet. I have always brought my oldest dog here but we recently adopted a (very sick) dog from a shelter. Not knowing the upcoming cost, we knew Dr. Roach was the only one we wanted looking at him. I just called for pricing on a health certificate and I'm sorry, but saying "well thank you" and then hanging up on me, does not make it ok that you decided to hang up on me in the middle of me STILL talking and trying to explain that you are higher priced than all the other clinics I have called. I would highly recommend Dr. Roach and his staff to anyone looking for someone to care for their pets. My cat Midnight needed to have teeth extracted and they took the time to try to get her in as quickly as possible. My cat saw Dr. Roach for the first time this week. I have never had a more pleasant experience with a veterinarian. The office staff were all cheerful, helpful and encouraging. The costs were detailed before the services were performed. I received several phone calls, both during my cat's overnight stay, and the day after her procedure. I have been to several local vets over the years, but I do not need to look further. I would recommend Dr. Roach to everyone. Read Less

Went to Claycomo Animal Hospital the day before Thanksgiving on recommendation of my mother.  She had read rave reviews about them.  And their proximity to my home, as well as the $20 off for new customers also helped.  Honky (my cat) was scratching his ears alot, and was whining as he scratched, so researched on the net and discovered he had ear mites.  Called Claycomo Animal Hospital, and they were able to get me in within an hour!  Was great especially since it was the night before a holiday.  Michelle was VERY nice to my cat, and was able to answer all our questions.  They took Honky back to have an ear wash (from which I understand he didn't like all that much).  They were very nice to my cat.  He was never scared or uncomfortable except once (but who would like a thermometer in their bum...).  I would recommend Claycomo Animal Hospital to anyone needing a compassionate place to take their pets.  I know that my pet is just like a child, and I want nothing but the best for him, and I found it in Claycomo Animal Hospital.  Thanks Dr. Roach, Michelle and all the staff.  I want to also wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!
